Does holy persuasion send back break allies' channels? Posted: 15 Feb 2018 08:23 AM PST Basically could you blink shackle send back for an uncancellable 8s stun? Chen+SS combo team here. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Feb 2018 08:08 AM PST Hey guys. I feel this is a question that must come often, however my research only pointed out to old threads. So we had a game yesterday against a Tinker, I suggest my friend to pick Ember against him, and I play Rubick (first picked) on the safe lane with my other buddy on Wraith King. It didn't go well, my friend' Ember lost mid, and suddenly Tinker was all over the map, shitting on all of us during what would become a very painfull game. He just seemed to have instant reaction time. He finished 27-5. https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3734666231 Now, the reason why I post is because I think this kind of matches happen very often agains't Tinker. We don't know how to deal with him, what to pick and what to build. Even in a game where I picked Invoker (try to learn it + supposed to be good vs Tinker), I get completely shut down. What do you suggest so I improve against him? Or even strategies when I play with friends and can coordinate our picks and plays? [link] [comments] |
Does spell amplification boost Nyx's mana burn, since it is based on an intelligence multiplier? Posted: 15 Feb 2018 09:08 AM PST Do spell amps like Kaya and Nyx's +6% spell amp talent also boost the damage of mana burn, or is mana burn damage fixed by its intelligence multiplier calculation and can't be increased by spell amp? Bonus question, I think the answer is probably no but does spell amp increase the damage of the Vendetta crit? [link] [comments] |
Help with TA Trap-Stacking Times. Posted: 15 Feb 2018 01:04 PM PST Does somebody have a more detailed info on how to effeciently and consistently stack camps with Traps? p.s: I know you need to be in a certain range for the creeps to aggro. And I also would like some pointers on how to stack 3+ [link] [comments] |

Posted: 15 Feb 2018 06:24 AM PST I've been playing quite a lot of offlane brewmaster recently with a decent amount of success, but I feel like I'm not doing a good job of itemising correctly for different situations. Therefore, I'm hoping for some discussion on what items are essential for offlane brewmaster, but also how to choose more situational items. Boots are a good first example. I used to religiously take phase on brew as it seemed great for getting him into the fights early on and making an impact. However recently I've seen a lot of pros (iceiceice, Universe, S4) opting for tranquils and found this a nice option to counter some in-lane harass and always be ready for a fight. I'm starting to feel like tranquils are maybe more often the better choice, but perhaps phase have their place in pub games? I don't think it's controversial to suggest that brew can have a mana problem early-mid game, and often this has been solved with a soul ring. Recently though I've been preferring to pick up a relatively early bottle which helps to solve some mana sustain issues (though obviously not providing the instant mana-hit you might need in a clutch situation) and seems a nice option for offlaners due to where the bounty runes are located these days. I guess I'd still take soul ring against a mana-burner though so I can get off that clap or split when I need to. I consider dagger absolutely essential, especially as an offlaner when you tend to be one of your teams most important initiators and teamfighters. Therefore, my build usually goes along the lines of: boots, wand (because its great!), mana thing (bottle or soul ring), upg boots (tranqs or phase) --> dagger. After that things start to get a bit more complicated and I think I struggle to make the best choices of what extension items to go for in the mid to late game to be effective. Is a late midas a good idea? When should Aghanims be considered? BKB? Radi? Cuirass? With drums being such a good item at the moment, is it worth slowing dagger down to grab early drums? Sorry if this is long and rambling, but hopefully it can open up a bit of a discussion about items for offlane brew, I'm interested in hearing other peoples' thoughts. Note that I'm talking from Legend scrub ranked bracket perspective, so maybe in that case I shouldn't always be looking too much into what the pros are doing! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Feb 2018 10:16 PM PST Recently I've been having a lot of fun playing as Riki pos4 and I've mostly just building Aquila Diffusal then building Abyssal blade or Skadi for late game. I've been having about a 50% winrate with this and I was wondering what sort of generic item build I should follow, aside from countermeasures for enemy draft. Thanks. [link] [comments] |

What's the best way to deal with account boosters? Posted: 15 Feb 2018 03:05 AM PST Pretty much the title -- I play in mid-3ks and seems like games these days are littered with account boosters or smurfs. I'm a mid main so I usually end up against these guys in the early game - I don't normally do too badly against them, sometimes even drawing even with them or beating them in lane, but what comes after is a nightmare of them flashfarming and getting kills left right and center (usually on Tinker or Meepo in my experience). So basically the question is how can I deal with them in the mid-to-late game? Do I just let the enemy team end early and move onto the next game or is there a good strategy to deal with 1 player carrying the rest of his team? EDIT: Fine, forget the part of my own performance mid -- the question remains: is there a viable strategy for playing against players who are playing below their actual skill level? Just gank the shit out of them? Ward their jungle and prevent their recovery after laning phase? Stay grouped up as 5 for the entirety of the game? [link] [comments] |
