Question in regards to Smash Bros. broadcasts as of late. Posted: 23 Feb 2018 06:29 AM PST Hey loyal Smash Bros. fans, I know it's been a while since I've spoken to you guys, and I blame myself for being really busy with tackling many responsibilities. Lately I've been not only juggling my Twitch job, also doing commentary for numerous titles (not only Smash), and also dabbling in content creation (Twitch livestreams and YT uploads) as of late. Now that I got my pre-john out of the way, let's get into the nitty gritty. Lately there have been broadcasters who streamed Smash that feel as if people don't really show support to them if they stream Smash. I understand some people would much rather watch high level play at tournaments since everyone is all under one roof which allows for the bests of each character/region to do battle against one another along with production levels that outshine a home broadcast, but if the home Smash Bros. broadcasters were missing something that you guys think would make their Smash-related streams better, what would it be? Some people lament that the star power is what makes one want to watch a Smash player over another, but that isn't always the case. There could be a pro who wins all events, but still doesn't garner the viewership that one would expect. Feel free to relate your experiences watching a Smash Bros. broadcaster (no need to name them) that you think can do better, and in what way. If the year 2018 has many weekends for players to not have to travel to events, it would be a good time for them to level up their own personal broadcasts. What better time than now for you, the viewers at home, to assist them in catering to you while staying true to what they like to do! Is it time for a new official Melee tier list? Posted: 23 Feb 2018 04:47 AM PST The last official tier list came out in 2015. Since then, there's been some serious changes in the meta and tournament results. A lot of tier list placements are now questionable. Marth under Falco? Sheik over Puff? IC's over Falcon? Yoshi under DOC??? zeldaunderpeach? With the 25, there's also a fairly decent tool to produce a tier list with some form of authority. Why do people say Pikachu is a losing match-up for Bayonetta? Anyone Know the Algorithm for chanting Characters Names? Posted: 23 Feb 2018 01:51 PM PST so whenever a particular character is doing particularly well, a crowd starts chanting their name... i want to know what specific qualifications there need to be in order for the crowd to start chanting, whether it be damage output, or consecutive hits, etc. In smash4 at least, it seems like it takes very little for them to chant roys name, maybe only even a single up B. any advice is appreciated. submitted by /u/harrisoncock [link] [comments]
