Please make future adventures less grindy, with more replayability.

Posted: 18 Feb 2018 09:05 AM PST

The last 2 adventures have been way too much of a grind, and lost their magic after about the second or third playthrough.

The Hercules adventure could have easily been great, but the grind to get gold and items was way too high. Having to complete the ice puzzle over, and over, and over again, was miserable.

The DaJi adventure shouldn't end after the boss wave. Let the fox escape but then get attacked by endless waves until the team wipes. Hoard modes aren't supposed to end until you lose, challenging you to last as long as you can. Having to start over again so quickly becomes a chore.

[Suggestion] Add an AFK button in the party options. Your party leader will be notified when they queue if you are AFK.

[Suggestion] Offer bonus FP that each player can give away after each game instead of sharing their own.

Posted: 18 Feb 2018 07:12 AM PST

As it stands right now, tipping doesn't happen very often (at least not that I see). Typically if another player plays well or is just a pleasant person I like to be able to tip them, but right now where the FP requirement is so high for some rewards it makes me feel like I can't be giving away my FP.

I think having 4-5 FP that each player can give to another player after a game would be beneficial. It would be some amount that you cannot keep, only give away. I think it would do a lot to promote a more positive environment.

Thoughts?

I get that certain gods are very strong right now, but dont pick them in ranked if you're bad with them just because they're "meta".

Posted: 18 Feb 2018 06:06 PM PST

Pretty much the tittle. There's a few gods right now who are very strong and if they make it past bans people seem to feel obligated to pick them no matter what. I'm gonna give two examples:

1) He Bo made it through bans and I had called Jungle, their Jungler had already picked Nem. I decided not to pick He Bo because I simply don't have the playtime on He Bo to justify picking him in a ranked game. I went with Rat because I've practiced with him and am confident in my ability to play Rat. One of my teammates BMed me for passing up He Bo because he's so powerful right now. I ended up doing fine and we won the game. I know for a fact if I had picked He Bo that Nem would have walked all over me and I would have been useless.

2) I called mid and picked Thoth, Freya made it past bans so their mid-laner picked Freya. I was kind of dreading the match, until I watched Freya actually play for a few minutes. It became very clear that this person had very little, if any, playtime in Freya. I won lane early and Freya ended up doing exceptionally bad. Freya ended up BMing the shit out of their teammates post game for "not helping me" and leaving her to get dumpstered in mid over and over, and that they should have carried the match because Freya. The rest of the team did fine, and it was obviously Freya that was the weak link and a huge part of what cost them the game.

TL;DR: If an "OP" god makes it past bans but you're bad with them or not practiced with them, don't pick them. An OP god can not make up for a lack of skill with that god. Go with what you're comfortable with.

Skin Boosters - Yes, I like them!

Posted: 18 Feb 2018 11:12 AM PST

This will probably get a lot of hate from the reddit community, but I wanted to offer feedback to Hi-Rez and let them know that I love the new skin boosters. I used to try to collect as many skins as possible, but it soon became too costly. Skins make the game much more enjoyable and I love this new feature. I wouldnt even mind a (modest) subscription to have access to all non limited skins if your sub is current.

Can I please get perma banned? + W/L pattern conspiracy.

Posted: 18 Feb 2018 07:13 PM PST

I was high diamond last season (i know it doesn't mean much but I still played against many pro players in solo and I did quite okay). I could never make a difference. I think I lost more matches after winning lane on Amaterasu (my main) and losing game than I actually won after winning lane on her. I have come to believe there is something very wrong with smite matchmaking because I can see a pattern in winning/losing not only for me but for all my friends too.

After a split starts everyone goes on a nice winning streak (I was on a 15 streak with 0 losses in between this season), followed by a long lose streak that always starts with the promo match.

I got so frustrated that I started trolling and intentional feeding whenever something went wrong. Guess what, my win rate stayed the same. My team was winning even with me going 0-20 and placing wards in enemy towers with chalice all match. I could make no difference. Matches that Hi-rez wanted me to lose were lost no matter what. I could go 20-0 and enemy solo 0-20 I'd still lose. Or I could troll my life away and still win. You make 0 impact. If you have over 50% win rate the game wants you to lose and you will lose even if you go 100-0 and 1v5. Your titan will eventually die laughing at you winning by yourself and you'd still lose because your titan died.

The 50% win rate threshold is increased based on your mmr from previous seasons / splits. That's why pro players who had like 70%+ win rate will only feel the losing streak when they get over that 70% win rate and it will stop once they get below it. That is how smite matchmaking algorithm works and that is why real elo is hidden. Smite doesn't have a normal matchmaking. You are destined to lose/win and it will take great efforts (almost impossible since you can go 0-20 and still win a match you were supposed to win) to change that outcome. Hi-rez is denying this but I won't take their word over the pattern I been seeing for over 3 years for me and like 50 friends of mine. It can't be a coincidence.

If every match would be a loading screen that lasted 40 minutes and then you'd see a victory/defeat screen it would be the exact same shit. YOU. DON'T. MATTER.

So please perma ban me from Smite because I can't quit it on my own. I tried many times and for some reason I always come back to it. The feeling of powerless that I feel when I win lane but lose game is too much. I feel like I make 0 impact. There is no point in playing a game in which you don't matter. I don't want to troll and feed anymore to get banned because I hurt others so please understand and ban me because this game crossed the line for me. It's not fun anymore and it's harmful for me.

Massive thanks to the smite community

Posted: 18 Feb 2018 02:57 AM PST

So today is the anniversary of me making my YouTube channel and whilst most of you probably don't know me I just want to say thank you for all the opportunities and good this experience has brought me so far.

In the year I've done YouTube making Smite videos for you guys has really changed me for the better. I've become 10x more confident, previously I hated how I looked and really didn't enjoy being sociable but now I've overcame that largely as a result of streaming/YouTube. I Also met my wonderful girlfriend through /u/Awfulmasterhat 's twitch stream since we both moderate there.

As of now i've had 1.25 million views which just blows my mind and 5500 of you subscribe to me for which i'm incredibly thankful. When i started i never thought this would happen at all, I posted a shitpost i made with some friends called Shooting_Ra.MP4 and i guess I never stopped. I also had the opportunity to smash /u/Triplecharged in a smite duel which was pretty damn spicy.

So yeah genuinely thanks for everything, it has been a blast and I hope the next year is as fun!

love ya,

Stormed xoxoxo

Mage builds are not diverse anymore

Posted: 18 Feb 2018 07:48 PM PST

With these health builds everyone is going, is it even worth it diversifying if only everybody is rushing to double stack warlock and book of thoth, like we might as well bring back Rod Of Tahutis passive since we are going to build the same freaking builds for almost every mage

EDIT: Mana/ Health Build, I forgot to include Book of The Dead

Junglers, what do you think of S5 so far?

Posted: 18 Feb 2018 02:40 PM PST

I've been loving it. Definitely been playing lots more conquest since S4. I hated S4 and barely touched conquest even though I've been maining conquest since beta. The new jungle is fun and I enjoy not having to lane tax my teammates all the time just to keep up in farm. Lots of farm and opportunity for ganks. I've been rushing heartseeker and crusher so far on my assassins and have been absolutely destroying the enemy team with it. It might a little too overtuned when combined together.

New game type: friendly fire

Posted: 18 Feb 2018 07:08 PM PST

Normal conquest start, but you abilities and basics attacks can damage your allies..... thoughts? Also think this could really work on any game type but conquest arena and assault seem like the best to me.

Edit: not a new game type either..... match of the day... sorry
