Okay, to start this off I'm letting you know this is a rant about the state of Siege (PC) and the recent surge of toxicity in the game. If you don't want to read my rant, you're welcome to do so. I just need to get this off my mind. I will post a TL;DR at the bottom if you want to skip my rant.

To preface this, I've been an FPS gamer all my life. Soldier Front, Combat Arms, CoD, etc. and I have never seen this much racism specifically towards black people in my entire life.

I've been playing Siege for almost a year now. I started when Mira was first released and I struggled (just like many of you have) to learn how the game is played. On one occasion I even accidentally shot a teammate down to under 40 health. I apologized immediately and said he could shoot me back to get even. To my surprise he replied that it wouldn't make our chances of winning any better and to learn and move on. This moment showed me what type of game this was as well as showed me the type of people that played this game.

Siege was just beginning to blossom and the playerbase started trending up. The community was great and rarely (maybe once a month) would I get as many toxic players in a match as I do now.

I took a break during Operation Health as I was tired of the same maps and operators. Fast forward to the last month and I've returned to Siege. 2 new maps and 6 new operators, I was hyped. Unfortunately my hype died down quickly when I learned how toxic the playerbase had gotten since my departure. Every day I meet at least one person calling me/someone in the game a nigger. It's pretty much the go-to insult someone types/says when they die.

I have over 3 pages of open reports for racism and everytime I get the same copy pasted reply: "We appreciate you providing this report regarding inappropriate behaviors in game. We are forwarding this to our securities team to investigate. As per Ubisoft policy, we are unable to communicate the outcome of the investigation with anyone other than the players affected by the investigation itself. "

There is no personalized reply and it just feels like I'm getting a dead-end to every single case I spend time submitting. I've been gradually playing Siege less and less because I can't go a single day of playing without being called a nigger. I don't even know why this is allowed to be typed and I don't know why Ubisoft hasn't come forward publicly with harsher punishments and stricter guidelines. I'm just battered down at this point and the game I once loved is now populated with a pool of toxicity specifically towards black people.

TL;DR Every day I get called a nigger on Siege. Submitting a case is a very long process and after 5+ days per case I get a copy and pasted reply that doesn't tell me at all if the player will be punished for toxicity and racism.

I've made the House map in Halo Forge, it looks excellent but definitely lacking in detail and realism. I can also post pictures of that. If this is something people are interested in I can create more levels.
