A Friendly Reminder

It's been over a month since release and Duo FPP is still disabled in SA and SEA Servers... and no one seems to care

Posted: 30 Jan 2018 08:48 PM PST

Down here we paid the same money for the game, yet my buddy and I still have to go in a 2-Man Squad adventure in order to play FPP. Forgive my rant but I can't understand why is FPP enabled for Solo and Squad only, when nowadays there's more than enough players to fill Duo servers.

I know a lot of you play TPP regularly and don't think this is a big deal, but please keep in mind that none of us has touched TPP in months and the camera exploits are absent from our playstyle. It really changes the way you play and it messes up our matches.

Please Bluehole, if your numbers still indicate that FPP Duo would have long queueing time just put a warning indicating it. Lots of other games accumulate around 10+ minutes of queueing time on many occasions, and we wouldn't mind at all to wait for 5 or 10 if it lets us play together fairly.

Hackers everywhere

Made it to the final circle only to get ESPed and aimlocked. This is so frustrating to have such a great game ruined right at the end by cheating.

My 1 Man Squads Manifesto

Posted: 31 Jan 2018 08:53 AM PST

I have a confession to make.

Back in the day (an entire two months ago), I was alone in the scape of PUBG. I had no regular squad, but didn't feel like dealing with the reddit discord - so I hopped into some 1 man squad games just to practice my gunplay and not worry about winning.

I usually just went for kills and tried to wipe squads but along the way.... something changed. Wiping squads is hard, but what isn't that hard? Isolating one player and murdering him, leaving his teammates with salt and the victim with a sad long wait ahead of him while he watches his teammates win the game HE could have been a part of.

I began to relish the feeling of ruining people's games. I would drop medium/hot (best was when I got 1-2 sqauds close by), grab a shotgun and head straight to the nearest squad. Sit in a corner/hide in a closet in their loot path, wait until they see the juicy scar-L with 90 rounds on the ground, start looting it and then send him to purgatory before his squad even knows what hits him.

And I know. I've been in those squads; I've been that guy that goes a little too far away with the tempting lure of more and more loot only to get caught in a bad situation. I've heard the groan of my teammates while they consider backing out after losing 1-2 teammates in the first 5 minutes of the round. I felt the despair, I felt the salt, I tasted it, I lived in it - I became the salt.

Now I have nothing but lust. Lust for using the last 5 bullets in my mag, not to do the right thing and down another teammate with a well placed burst - but to send all five bullets straight into the downed squad member. When the downed player looks into my eyes, he knows my purpose, he knows I'm there only to cause him anguish (and boredom for the next 20-30 minutes), he knows I will willingly sacrifice my own self, as he considers himself something - but me, I am nothing.

Tip to force quit when the game freezes in full screen

Posted: 31 Jan 2018 08:57 AM PST

I just happened to stumble upon this trick when my game froze yesterday and I figured it might be useful to someone out there.

Every now and then my game will freeze instead of crash, and the only way to close it will be to force close through task manager. Unfortunately the game will also be "stuck" in full screen and will block your view of task manager, so your only options are to try and navigate task manager blind or reboot the entire computer. If anyone's experienced the same you'll know what I'm talking about.

Anyways, I discovered a neat shortcut yesterday, which is Windows Key + Tab. This opens up a nicer "Alt + Tab" interface with a "+" button to open up another virtual desktop, on which you can then open up task manager and kill PUBG. Hopefully this helps someone out there.

Self defense or not?

Posted: 30 Jan 2018 05:18 PM PST

So as you all probably already know... the amount of Chinese people in the NA server is absurd. Chinese is my mother tongue, but I essentially grew up in America and have pretty much zero accent.

So naturally, i ask if there are any English speakers and the usual banter(in english) during pre-match. They all then started speaking Chinese and called me a foreign bastard, etc(in chinese). I didn't response, just trying to see what they would say about me.

as the jump started, they started saying how they'll kill me once we land, and meticulously planning out how they would do it... (It wasn't the first time i encountered this. It actually happens quite often, but i usually reveal i speak chinese a little later, and they back off)

Still not responding and just to see they would actually do it, i got my gun, and surely, the fuckers started coming toward me, all while saying "i see him, let me get behind him first and get headshot"(in chinese).

So at this point, i got into a room facing them, as they are trying to position themselves for the point blank headshot, i pulled the trigger... quickly knocking all 3 on the ground. and then i revealed that Chinese was my mother tongue, and they should stop trying to kill english speakers because they are on the damn NA server. they cursed at me for a few more minutes, and dced.

So what do yall think? self defense?

Edit: I squad queued alone, and is still quite new to the game(2 weeks).
