I plat 3, more than 500 games, i treat this as moba, like lol, ad range carry. you do damage and dont die while doing so.

why pistol pistol theif? it has high damae, and many escape tools. i show you my secret build, but no more secret. WHY? cause i dont like people disrecpecting pistol pistol theif. skkiled pistol pistol theif to exist too.

BUILD:

CRITICAL STRIKES: 3(twin fang)-3(ankle breaker)-1(no quarter)

ACROBATICS: 1(instant reflex)-1(guarded initiation)-1(assassins reward)

DEADEYE 1(revealed malice)-2(unforgiving)-2(be quick or be killed)

  • p/p sigil of exploitation and courage
  • shortbow cleansing and energy
  • rune of eagle, berserker amulet

utilities

  • heal--hide in shadow.
  • blinding powder
  • shadow step
  • assasin signet gives 500 power when activated for 5 secs
  • shadow meld

only 3 stealth is good enough. when you are trapped, use blinding powder cause its no cast time. then move away or use more stealth if you have slow hands.

in this guide we assume you and enemy are skilled. Skilled=Positioning, Mechanics, Target prioritization, kite, not stupid.

this only 1v1. capping, roaming is diff thing. sometimes 1v2, but yeah

INSTRUCTION select target, press f1 -> press f2 -> activate Assassin's Signet -> press 3. (Do it fast)

Ranger class = Avoid 1v1 at allways. Pet will tank all the damage ,you run out of initiative. be not stupid. run away, help another lane. -Very Hard

Minion necro class same as above. avoid 1v1. Very annoying and very Hard to win.

scourge/reeper/necro easy pc. ankle breaker make scourge sitting ducks. kite kite kite. expect a whiper after. easy fight. they will escape. smart player always escape if they cant win

guardian if guy know you pistol pistol, they have all reflect. crazy. dont waste time and move on another lane. if only 1 reflect, be smart. wait for them to use sheild then do insruction. HARD.i win son i lose some. not anoying as ranger and minion i always lose.

spellbreker/warrior class MEDUIM Hard. 65% win rate against. i use stealth to fake, they use sheild because scare of me. i use another stealth to extend invisible. then use instruction. when they run out of reflect. too tanky

revenant not scary at all, not threatening. easy win believe me.

mesmer before patch HARD, post patch - harder. they have dodge. reflect, too many targets, dont waste initiative. dont waste time just escape. help other lane

elementalist/tempest medium hard, from experience i always win. they will most like have 1 reflect only. but they die in with instruction given. just 1 press 3 no spam.

sword weaver HARD. not threatening, not stressful as rangers. they wont kill instantly. but they annoying. heals fast. tanky. do not waste initiative, dont waste time, time is gold. help other lane.

Rifle/pistol pistol theif easy. no need spam 3 just press once. they die easily. again skilled. prioritize target, use stealth to get in or out of fight.

melee theif HARD. this fight make me happy win or lose. when they engage you dead right away. if you survive use blinding powder. use elite stealth then heal. recover, you do 1 combo they dead, but they have stealth too and hearth seeker. omg. use shadow step to move away and kite. if they engage again, reactivate. alot of teleportation will happen. so goodluck. fun fight no matter what.

Engineer EASY. once sheild is used, they ded, rhey may have elixir but still dead.

HOLO not enough data for me. i've only 1v1 holo once, and i lost. cause i thought they easy. but in team fights they die easily.

teamfight

just like in moba. you kill the enemy carry they lose the eam fight. dont be scared to use double stealth to engage the enemy backline. kill theives or necro or ranger who doesnt have pet near him. you are a shark you can always take out 1 mek enemy team at disadvantage.

The griffon STILL feels like ass after the change.

I have gotten the griffon a few days before the change, and after the change my use of the mount has plummeted.

I used to fly around and have fun trying to dive and rise between objects, now I need to climb a mountain in ember bay to even be able to pull up from the dive.

Why?

This had no real effect on gameplay and honestly, if I could, I'd refund my few griffon skins I have if I could, because the uses of the mount are incredibly limited in my opinion. You need to find a place high and steep enough, to allow you to dive 20 norns down in almost a perfect line to even get reasonable speed.

I get the feeling this is equal to WoW having 15 second transformation tonics with 30 minute cooldown.

I wonder how other people feel about the change, there was a big thread days ago but now I can't find anything, even on the forums.

Metabattle PvE builds now updated for the Feb 6 balance patch!

Took slightly longer that it otherwise would have due to business IRL, but I'm pleased to be able to say that the guides in the Fractal and Raid sections of Metabattle have now been updated to reflect the balance changes from last week.

A quick overview of the changes is:

There have also been updates to existing builds, particularly Support Chrono and Condi DPS Berserker.

The WvW and PvP sections are also in the process of being updated as people test builds and the meta settles. As always Metabattle remains a community-driven site, and we always welcome new people to contribute, rate and comment on builds throughout the site. We also have a Discord Server for real-time discussions that anyone is welcome to hop in to.

This is NOT the sigil, but for armor. Last time this was up it was about 1 year ago. It's not a super useful rune but rarity is annoying.

GW2 TacO Markers for Path of Fire map specific chests (Bleached Bones, Dwarven Chests, Forgotten Debris, Shadow Provisions, Joko Busts and more).

Hey, so I decided to make some markers for all POF map specific chests and more using GW2 TacO. I couldn't find any markers so I made my own.

What this is good for: I'm farming these daily for a chance at a music box drop, so this helps me speed up that process. If you haven't gotten the achievements for the map specific achievements this can help you complete those achievements quicker. If you're looking for a different way to earn trade contracts then getting all these chests can net you over 1000 contracts a day + additional loot.

What's included are markers for:

-Bleached Bones (Crystal Oasis) -Dwarven Chests (Desert Highlands) -Forgotten Debris (Elon Riverlands) -Shadow Provisions (The Desolation) -Timeworn Bust of Palawa Joko [praise Joke] (Domain of Vabbi) -Entrances to Jackal Portals/Path Starts/Cave Entrances -Extra chests such as Glorious Elonian Chests, Awakened Chests, lost chests, etc.

These are just markers for their locations, no route is included (you'll have to find a route that works best for you). Not all extra chests are here, just ones I found close to/not too far out of the way from the map specific chests. Events that spawn chests are not included.

Other notes: Since most of these chests can only be looted once a day I set the markers to disappear if you hit 'F' while over them and will reappear at the start of daily resets. Also, the Entrance/Portals markers will only appear when you start getting close to them and will fade away when you go out of range. Some map specific chests are locked behind events, so you may have to come back to them or skip them. -I forgot to put a marker for one of the extra chests in Jinx's Hollow in Desert Highlands. Ooops.

Shade skills having a .5s delay in PvE feels clunky and unnecessary.

I understand the change in PvP, but why did this change have to be moved to PvE? Playing a Scourge in Raids or Fractals without the large shade just feels like I am borderline lagging most of the time. Clutch condi cleanses and barrier applications just become significantly harder with a .5s delay and a 180 radius. I feel this would have been the perfect mechanic to skill split.

and oh my god! It was so cool and amazing seeing so many players! There were over 80 ppl there and it was really cool just being able to chat and hang with them for a bit!
