By doing this, we can use the upvote system to measure severity/frequency and also provide the developers with more info than simply, "Hey, this thing is not working, can you fix? Thanks." While allowing less severe/frequent bugs some more visibility instead of flooding the thread with the same bug. Got me back on for about 3 hours and had it finished if not sooner. Too bad you've made ticket grinding no more fun so I won't pick this game back up until I need v-bucks for BR or the next event. This last update was so pointless and didn't fix much of anything. I want to love this game and I did at first until I got to unfinished Canny. Your Halloween event was amazing. I didn't even finish it because there was so much to do. Then the Christmas event which was ehh. It had cool ideas with the wave based game mode. I got to finish that event fairly quickly. Had fun none the less. But this "event" if it can even be considered that. Seemed so half assed.. On top of that you ruin the ticket earning system. We've got you covered; with this new patch you can now see the word "Connecting..." for the rest of the mission. --Is your fireworks pistol's reticle getting in your way when you're trying to aim? Now you don't have to bother with that silly little thing, just stand still and hope you can tell where the exact middle of your screen is. Players that appreciate the reticle will have to shoot while moving, for added accuracy. --Have you ever finished part of the event questline and thought to yourself, "I wish I could keep doing this over and over with no reward"? Now you can keep searching red mailboxes day in and day out. To help you complete this pointless objective, you will always be able to see handy yellow exclamation marks on your map that are completely identical to the ones for your current quest. --Ninja's have realized that half a year later there's still no fix to throwing stars, as such ninjas no longer smile and instead have the expression of a Fortnite player that spent all of their seasonal gold on trash because the devs told them to. The amount of tickets this event gives is a joke Posted: 15 Feb 2018 10:15 AM PST When I saw people saying they were getting 80 tickets in a Power level 84+ zone, I figured the llamas only required 500 tickets. But no, Epic has decreased the earned tickets by 33%+ in most/all areas. There better be a repeatable quest that awards tickets otherwise this amount of ticket earning is insulting for an event that is scheduled to only last a couple of weeks at most. You need +1 difficulty (2 player) in order to get event tickets, so 3 blue glo.
Assuming a game takes 20 minutes each
Obviously you can do faster type missions (like atlas missions) to get the numbers down a bit, but realistically players are looking at about 4 hours of play time (minimum) to get a single lama from this event. [link] [comments] | ||
Max 94 firecracker tickets per mission at 1k per llama? Posted: 15 Feb 2018 08:26 AM PST This is a huge nerf in earning potential. If I'm not mistaken it's the lowest ticket to llama earning ratio we've had yet. it will take at least 11 missions to open 1. On top of looking for legendary variants and fighting for decent rolls, this seems like a lot of work for little reward. Not that it's a new concept or anything though.. Of course you can buy 10 llamas for 1 too Edit: For those trying to justify this by the removal of the ticket earning cap, ~50% more missions to earn just as much is not cool especially when most didn't even have the time to do their 10 a day. Now those with more time can play 50% longer to earn just as much, if they even have that much extra time. Plus only the very few that truly have nothing to do for huge periods of time will benefit. Posted: 15 Feb 2018 07:40 PM PST So after spending 16+ years in software development\systems architecture for large corporations I realize most people are missing the problem with Fortnite. A lot of people will focus their comments and gripes against the devs. Anyone who has worked for major companies like Epic realize that the devs are not at fault. The problem is within management, specifically the executives within the company handing down directives. Most devs are just given instructions on what needs to be changed or corrected. When something is architected poorly its not the devs job to fix the issue but rather implement the poorly constructed changes. The issues with Fortnite isn't the devs, I guarantee its the decisions from upper management who are more focused on revenue. [link] [comments] | ||

The only exception being the "If You Cant't Find Love" mission. In order to complete that particular one you have to smash fridges & cabinets (anything found in kitchens basically) to reveal the chocolate box drops. Posted: 15 Feb 2018 05:24 AM PST so we played lvl82 atlas mission, and we increased the difficulty five times ( the max which is called madness). the power of the husks become 101, and they spawn with mixed elements we got nature and water enemies at the same time. we built a lot of tunnels and traps and the mission was easy because of this. however the rewards were not worth it at all, we got 40 Gold and 85 tickets beside the mission rewards... and that's it. gg [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 15 Feb 2018 06:30 AM PST Just a huge thanks to Epic for finally making this request a reality: "•When 2-Star or higher Schematics, Heroes, Survivors, Survivor Leads and Defenders are recycled they will now refund all evolution materials spent evolving the item. ◦This change was made because we wanted players to be able to level up and test out new heroes, weapons, and traps without the risk of losing valuable evolution materials." More potential weapon stats? Still no re-rolls? Why? Posted: 15 Feb 2018 08:50 AM PST This new event has brought in more random weapon perks. That means the chance of getting a weapon that has trash rolls has increased even more. I have rows and rows of amazing legendaries with garbage rolls. I'd love to use some of those schematics, but without weapon re-rolls to fix them, they will never see the light of day. If the assumption is that diluting the perks even more will cause me to buy more llamas to perhaps get a decent weapon - this is a flawed assumption. When I first started this game, I had no problem dropping 99 dollars on v-bucks once a month to snag llamas. I didn't have many legendaries; I wanted legendaries; I'm not poor. Months and months later, my survivor squads are all filled with legendaries, most of them match personality and have mythic leads. Why? Because anytime a llama that could give me people comes around I buy it. If an event gave legendary survivors consistently from llamas (looking at you Fortnitemares) I ground it. The RNG of people is more forgiving than the RNG of weapons. Thus, it's less of a gamble for me to buy those llamas or grind the game to earn them. What's the point? I'm a customer who will consistently pay to play. However, the odds are so terrible for weapons, that it's not even worth the gamble. The chance of satisfaction is actually so low, it's barely worth my time to whack the llama to see the contents. For multiple events now, I've rolled my eyes at these five headshot bonus rocket launchers. These extra affliction damage perks on non-affliction causing weapons. Snared bonus this. Knocked down bonus that. But adding even more perks without a re-roll system? It really makes me not want to even see what's in the llama, because chances are it's more disappointment. Occasionally, when I see the smaller husks destroyed, I wonder if one of them was mine. I imagine her out there roaming these cities and woods, eating, always hungry, and always killing. This is too much. Why go on? I have to stop thinking like this. These traps we invented are a huge success. Only when they are jammed with the viscera and grease of the dead do we contemplate the need to deliver better ones. This sub makes it really hard for new players to enjoy the game Posted: 15 Feb 2018 02:35 AM PST I got this game 2 weeks ago. Since then, I have gotten 3 friends to play with me and they all surprisingly enjoy it. I knew coming into this game (from countless reviews) that I shouldn't expect much. I actually fell in love with it, I'm already level 23 (no where near you guys, but that's a lot of time for 2 weeks). It's refreshing, new, a perfect mix of shooters, looters, builders, and MMOs. I came from Overwatch where I'm a masters player and I was just burnt out. The beautiful cartoon graphics and stable optimization made for a great transition. An important part of games for me is the community. I enjoy being able to check in on things when I'm not able to play or just have 10 minutes to burn. Unfortunately, this sub doesn't offer that, all I see are non-constructive criticisms. I read them and understand the frustration. Real money is at play, as well as hundreds of hours of time from loyal customers. However, if the community is worried about the game dying, the best way to ensure that is to make the community a toxic pool of complaints. Complaints do, and should, have a place in this subreddit. I think the best way to do this is to create a megathread (updated weekly) for input to Epic devs. No one who just had an enjoyable binge on this game wants to come here to only see 20 posts on the front page in all caps calling Epic a piece of shit.
