- Crimson Days
- I think I found the closest thing to a last word in Destiny 2 (in terms of damage and fire rate)
- If you thought DtG got salty, just go and take a look at the Bungie.net post discussing the new requirement that to post on the Forums you must actually have played D2 up to the Farm...
- Crimson days engrams CANNOT be bought from eververse....this is a great move bungie.
- Does anyone find it strange that we have marketplace/bazaar in the Tower with zero trade going there?
- More Heavy Ammo Isn't An Incentive To Use Other Heavies
- Why not add tips/grimoire tidbits to orbit loading screens?
- Bungie should add a crashed Tesla Roadster to the Gods of Mars map.
- Bungie: Activity specific Exotic ship blueprints. Use Amanda to give out schematics each week. Grind activities for components to build the ship.
- I dismantled my Contenders Shell
- The Infinite Forest is a Vex Minecraft Server and Osiris is a greifer
- Found a weird "Disco Dance Floor" in D1 PVP
- It would be cool if emotes incorporated your ghost so you could show off your cool ghost shells.
- I only want snipers to enable me to go out into the world and just snipe everything all day.
- Constructive Trials ideas
- Seriously though... Calus's clap needs to be an exotic emote earned from the prestige raid
- Put the "knockout" mechanic in the Illuminated Engrams !
- SayNoToRage on the current token system in the raid
- Prestige Nightfall "A Garden World" Boss Spawn killed in 10 seconds
- Today on, "I Shouldn't Be Alive" (D1)
- Why no trick sparrows?
- Bring back Sparrow Horns please?
- Bungie, I know it's low on the priority list, but I'd love to see my crucible medals for more than 3 seconds.

- I decided to see how many reskins D2 has . . .
Posted: 07 Feb 2018 10:19 AM PST Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/46617 Crimson Days begins in Destiny 2 on Tuesday, February 13. At the heart of the weeklong event is a 2v2 Crucible playlist intended to get your blood pumping as you and a friend test your bonds to the breaking point. This celebration of teamwork will last one week! The combat scenario is 2v2 Clash with a round-based twist. We will also be debuting The Burnout, a new take on The Burning Shrine set in a future timeline where the Vex have succeeded in altering our reality. The sun is darkened and the only Light to be found comes from you and your partner fighting as one. Stay in close proximity to your partner and your abilities recharge at a faster rate. Stray too far, and your enemies will be given a waypoint leading to your location. If you can't find a partner, don't worry. We'll play matchmaker and find one for you. The RewardsThe best way to earn rewards during Crimson Days is to compete in the Crimson Days Crucible playlist, and we've tuned the experience to focus on rewarding single-character play. Most rewards are found within a new Crimson Engram, with all contents on a "knock-out" list, preventing you from receiving duplicate items until you've earned all of the new gear. No matter which activity you play in Destiny 2 during Crimson Days, every player will receive both an Illuminated Engram and a Crimson Engram when they level up. Crimson Engrams are only earnable through gameplay, and are not capped or limited during the event. To qualify, you need only to reach the level cap for your Guardian (that's 25 if you've acquired Expansion 1; 20 if you haven't). There are also five new rewards found exclusively for players who complete the following:
Image Link Tirastrella Ghost Shell Image Link Undeterred Exotic Sparrow Image Link Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament Image Link Flaunting Dance Emote Crimson Engrams will only be earnable through gameplay, but if you're looking to directly purchase a specific item, Tess will also offer a selection of the Crimson Engram contents in exchange for the Bright Dust you are holding. Gear purchased with Bright Dust will also count towards the "knock-out" list mechanic described above, preventing duplicate items unless you have already earned all the rewards. Every reward item obtained from a Crimson Engram can also be dismantled for Bright Dust, including event-specific shaders. Crimson Days will begin next Tuesday, February 13, and conclude on the weekly reset at 9 AM PST on Tuesday, February 20. If you've yet to find a dance partner, now is the time. We'll see you in the arena. [link] [comments] |
I think I found the closest thing to a last word in Destiny 2 (in terms of damage and fire rate) Posted: 07 Feb 2018 05:44 AM PST https://gfycat.com/BonySimilarIrishsetter its just Lucky Pants exotic boots and switching every shot. Not trying to self promote but i made an entire video of me doing this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnBdDCv5sLI&t=6s [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Feb 2018 06:29 AM PST Now that's some NaCl right there. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/242827681?sort=0&page=0 [link] [comments] |
Crimson days engrams CANNOT be bought from eververse....this is a great move bungie. Posted: 07 Feb 2018 11:31 AM PST People actually have to play the game to earn shit now and no one can complain that it's pay to win. I'm sure there will still be kids complaining that they can't use their parents stolen credit card to buy Crimson engrams, but whatever. overall, this is a great move! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Feb 2018 02:26 AM PST Ikora does not count. I for one would not mind buying something. What else I suppose to do with the ton of shards, glimmer and tokens? Literally anything will do, if it does not involve bright dust/silver. Sparrow sticker or fluffy dice. Snack for my Huntress. Ghost voice module. Maybe a book. [link] [comments] |
More Heavy Ammo Isn't An Incentive To Use Other Heavies Posted: 07 Feb 2018 06:42 AM PST I'm all for more heavy ammo, but this new update won't solve the issue for other people using something other than rockets. Say it again, I'm all for heavy ammo and the use of rockets, but this won't get people to use other heavies. It's a small step forward, yes... just not enough for full change. I think this is why people are wanting the old weapon slot option back. I'm all for as well. Diversity just doesn't seem like a thing right now. Anyway, what do you guys think? Just a thought as I typically don't weigh in on these types of issues. [link] [comments] |
Why not add tips/grimoire tidbits to orbit loading screens? Posted: 07 Feb 2018 05:04 AM PST So many other games have been doing this for years. With so much regarding the game and it's lore hidden or tucked away on different 3rd party platforms, wouldn't it be a great opportunity to inform and immerse the newer players? Imagine as a first time player, flying into crucible, a friendly line of text is shown, reading something like 'Greed will be your downfall, Guardian. Holding two zones will be plenty'. Or, a small passage of words shedding some light on the history of the map you'll be teamshooting on. Tailor the grimoire/tips, to be relevant to the activity the player is transitioning into. Surely it's not a huge amount of work for a half decent QoL addition? [link] [comments] |
Bungie should add a crashed Tesla Roadster to the Gods of Mars map. Posted: 06 Feb 2018 03:01 PM PST |
Posted: 07 Feb 2018 10:25 AM PST Here's a thought... Exotic Ship Blueprints Blueprints can be used, like Lost Prophecies, to construct Golden Age Relic and special ships. Blueprints can be acquired from:
For Example:
Blueprints require X number of components to be built in order to construct the ship. For this example let's say 6 individual components: Cockpit, chassis, wings, engine, life support, FTL drive. Amanda Holiday, Shipwright Each week on reset Amanda will offer 3 random ship component schematics. These would be similar to Brother Vance's Lost Prophecies. You pick up the schematics to build the cockpit and then you set out to do X type of events. Just like Lost Prophecies, each type of schematic will require a different type of activity to be done. Completing the activity will drop the required materials to complete the schematic. Xur Each week, Xur also brings for sale 2 random ship components already completed. Guardians can purchase those components for X legendary shards. Now Xur is EXCITING again for those players who have all exotics in the game. Building an Exotic Ship Return each week to Amanda and finish all X schematic components and turn them in, then visit Amanda to pick up your Exotic ship. Xur now is useful and existing again. He sold the sparrow upgrade drives for those of us who wanted to collect everything. He now contributes to the collection of exotic ships. Since the ships are exotic, they now will also be unlocked in the new collection tab that you have already announced will be added into the game in a future release. Anyway, just an idea for adding a fun collection component into the game and add the grind element that players want as it gives them something to chase. Since activities also have their own blueprint drops, all activities are potentially something players will want to continue doing in order to get those rare blueprints. [link] [comments] |
I dismantled my Contenders Shell Posted: 07 Feb 2018 04:21 AM PST Had a second one drop for me so i figured why not delete the other in the name of science? 1 legendary shard lol. [link] [comments] |
The Infinite Forest is a Vex Minecraft Server and Osiris is a greifer Posted: 06 Feb 2018 09:12 PM PST Think about it Osiris spends all of his time in there screwing up what the Vex are building. [link] [comments] |
Found a weird "Disco Dance Floor" in D1 PVP Posted: 07 Feb 2018 07:12 AM PST So me and my buddies found a way to get out of any box barrier in PVP and while getting out of Widow's Court, I found something...odd. I flew way outside the map and found a building with a flashing neon pink and neon yellow floor. Probably a lighting effect, but one that I've never seen before in D1 or D2. I think it's interesting that the devs use the space way outside the map for "experiments" like this. Here's a 2 minute video of my time outside the map and with the "dance floor". It would be cool if emotes incorporated your ghost so you could show off your cool ghost shells. Posted: 07 Feb 2018 10:51 AM PST I just feel like they do a good job of having a wide range of different looks for the ghost and it would be cool if we could actively make the ghost spawn and be incorporated into a few emotes. I only want snipers to enable me to go out into the world and just snipe everything all day. Posted: 07 Feb 2018 01:25 AM PST I'd just like to see just a little more ammo in my reserves. There are many days I wish I could sit back, crack open a cold drink and steadily pop some baddies from my tree. Or just help out a public event from afar, without running out of ammo on the first wave of enemies. I really think the only thing I need is just more ammo. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Feb 2018 09:54 AM PST As we keep getting reminded, the playerbase in Trials is dwindling fast and I am trying to start a constructive discussion on how to increase the trials population again. The emphasis is on constructive, please be civil in your comments. I would also like to focus it on Trials and not the larger issues with the game, so please don't discuss Sandbox, Weapon System, competence of individual developers, DDOS, Dedicated Servers etc here. I think these are part of a different discussion. To start off, in my experience Trials consists of roughly three types of teams
In order to pull in more players into the game, I think we need reasons for each group to play more, as well as some general ideas. I think the biggest problem is the lack of rewards for casuals, so they have no reason to play. The intermediates get frustrated if they consistently go 6-1, and the stacks don't face any real competition and have nothing to really show off how good they are. For the casuals
For the intermediates
For the stacks

Put the "knockout" mechanic in the Illuminated Engrams ! Posted: 07 Feb 2018 11:21 AM PST Its been months, all i have gotten is legendary sparrow or ghost. Not a single exotic and this is infuriating and annoying , please implement this in the Illuminated Engrams . PLEASE ! For anyone wondering what the mechanic is:

SayNoToRage on the current token system in the raid Posted: 07 Feb 2018 10:04 AM PST https://clips.twitch.tv/ChillyGlutenFreeDragonSoBayed EDIT: Screwed up the title. Should say "SayNoToRage on the current revive token system in the raid" Interesting thoughts that I personally really agree with. Introducing the timer removes those moments with 1 man alive and the boss is on a sliver of health, and the 1 guy downing the boss with everyone screaming down their mics in excitement. A wipe because 1 dude can't get rezzed removes those memorable moments that made D1 raids so great. Personal solution:
make destiny great again, bungo. [link] [comments] |
Prestige Nightfall "A Garden World" Boss Spawn killed in 10 seconds Posted: 07 Feb 2018 06:31 AM PST https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwcasxGqKco This strategy is a little different and a little silly compared to whats normally done for nightfall boss instant kills. For one you typically use a Sunbreaker titan with hammer strike to buff up damage. In this specific fight you can't really do that because 1) if you try to attack the boss head on with the melee, a barrier BASICALLY blocks you from going close enough 2) you can hit the boss' "leg" with hammer strike however, if the boss aggro's to you as you do this, you'll miss and fall off the map and re-spawn under the boss map. So Sunbreaker is not really worth the gamble for this. Instead i decided to improvise with the torrent modifier and use the Aeon gauntlet exotic. By using the aeon gloves with one of each class, we were able to give our warlock a 2nd or even 3rd grenade to throw at the boss before the boss even started moving after taking massive damage rather than having just one to throw, even with torrent on. So essentially you get 4 pulse grenades, arc souls, golden gun with nighthawk and then 18 rockets if you're fast enough to pump into the boss. If done right this will give you enough to kill the boss almost instantly, even on prestige, So in summary, 1 Striker titan instead of sunbreaker (with Aeon Safe exotic) 1 Stormcaller warlock instead of voidwalker (with Aeon Soul exotic) 1 Gunslinger with celestial nighthawk (without Aeon Swift exotic, just use your dodge to give energy) everyone with curtain call as usual. Today on, "I Shouldn't Be Alive" (D1) Posted: 07 Feb 2018 05:25 AM PST Was going through some old clips and remembered how hectic D1 PvP can be. Also, where is Rift? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Feb 2018 09:03 AM PST Any idea why trick sparrows haven't been brought into the game yet? I mean even in Destiny we got our first one when TDB came out. I'm only asking because last night I hit a rock and did a flip, which landed correctly and I heard the chirp for successfully pulling off a trick... which means that the mechanics are there just not the sparrows to use them. I did save the video but I'm at work, would have to export it, crop it, etc... can do later if I have to. [link] [comments] |
Bring back Sparrow Horns please? Posted: 06 Feb 2018 11:33 PM PST Who else misses these? It was fun zipping around on your sparrow and letting rip with your horn. Coming across blues on patrol and just spamming the horn at each other. Happy Horn, Noisy Horn, Jingle Horn, Gjallar Horn, all of the horns, please bring them back thanks. EDIT. Thinking more about this, it doesn't make sense as to why they removed them, especially with the game being so Eververse orientated. You can only imagine how much potential revenue they could have generated from players buying rare/legendary/exotic horns. And if they did bring them back, what are some potential new horn sounds that they could introduce? The Calus Clap horn? The Dog Howl horn? any more? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Feb 2018 10:01 AM PST I don't know how many there are.
I don't know how to get some of them.
I don't know if I've ever gotten some of them.
If I get two or three at once, I'm lucky if I see one of them long enough to read it, process it in my brain, and manage to not die to the 4th guy that cleaned me up because I was absolute. To put it frankly, I don't get to enjoy it or brag about it. If my buddy drops a nova and wipes the other team, that should be tracked somehow. A visual representation of a big, memorable moment in the crucible.
I would like to be able to see these post-match. Remember that game 'Halo?' It tracked your medals. That was cool. That was a talking point with your friends. That was a little string of fabric that helped weave the community together. Seems like low-hanging fruit to me, but I'm not a developer. So I defer to you. [link] [comments] |
"It's Not That The Changes Aren't Cool, They Just Aren't Enough to Pick the Game Back Up" Posted: 07 Feb 2018 12:22 AM PST I was talking to a friend about the state of D2 right now, specifically why neither of us were able to grind out any of the new Iron Banner gear (we usually go hard and get everything). In response, his girlfriend said something that resonated with me: "Like, all these additions were cool. Masterworks were a neat addition, and adding Raid mods to the armor seemed cool, too. Kind of freshened up the current gear. They just aren't enough to want to make me pick the game back up again after having put it down. Had they been in the game before CoO, or implemented at the same time, maybe they'd be grind-worthy. But after being out of the game for the while, they don't add anything new, they just add a new take on what's already there." I played a handful of games for Iron Banner, ran some strikes and knocked out the Nightfall. It was nice, sure, but after that I neatly tucked D2 away and I really don't see myself potentially picking it back up until Fall - lest some k-razy weapon gets revealed. And I feel like this is why - none of this stuff freshens up for the currently-stale gameplay. [link] [comments] |
I decided to see how many reskins D2 has . . . Posted: 06 Feb 2018 04:32 PM PST . . . And I was surprised by how many original gun models it has. A total of 102, some with no reskins, some with 5. If I missed any weapons, please let me know. I divided them in Kinetic, Energy and Power sections, although the Kinetic/Energy versions of the S1 Trials Weapons are in the Kinetic section.
