| So I just bought this game and am wanting some tips for a new player. Posted: 16 Feb 2018 05:32 AM PST Thanks to steam's lunar new year sale, the game was 62% off and it has been a game on my wishlist for years at this point so I bought it, just finished installing it and haven't even started it up yet, but I was just hoping for some advice before I go into the zombie infested world of 7 days. | Any standalone mods that only add Followers and Survivors? Posted: 16 Feb 2018 07:51 AM PST For the most recent build? Google only comes up with mod packs that have these systems incorporated and I'm just looking to add Survivors (Bandits would be ok too) and a follower system. Does anyone know of any standalone mod like this? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 16 Feb 2018 09:28 AM PST Hello, I'm currently trying to find a good map to play on. I'm looking for a city in either the burnt or wasteland biomes, with a skyscraper, red mesa, army barracks, power/water/oil utility buildings, a school, a strip club, a theatre, a book store, a working stiffs, and a gun shop. I would also like this area to be relatively flat. I know that's asking quite a bit, but I'm looking to do a run of where I'm rebuilding and fortifying a city lost to the apocalypse, essentially creating a bastion of safety and civilization for humanity. Thanks for the help. [link] [comments] | ||
| Interacting with Forges causes me to de-sync in dedicated server Posted: 16 Feb 2018 05:13 AM PST Hey there, I've been having this problem that none of the other players of my server seem to have. Whenever I open the forge and do some stuff with it, I seem to de-sync out of the server and it takes me like 1 minute to sync again. Funny part is that I see everybody in the server doing their things just fine, but for them I'm just stuck where I was before opening the forge. I can move around, client side, but everytime i try to open a chest or whatever, nothing comes up. After a while as I said, I just sync again and everything that I interacted with pops up in a spammy way. I tried everything, from cleaning every file and doing the clean data from the launcher menu, to disable unet and so on. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions? EDIT: I've realised, using the resources monitor, that whenever I open a forge or campfire, my network bandwidth usage goes through the roof. Whenever it goes back to normal, I can play normally again [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 16 Feb 2018 09:30 AM PST So I've had 7D2D for a few weeks and although the game is very addictive it does get a little stale late game if you are not playing PvP. Once you have concrete everything, a productive mine system and turrets for days, I start to lose interest. So how about this.... No respawns! Have a game mode that starts you on a random gen map but there are no respawns at all. Once you have gathered what you can you then "move on" to another area (random gem map) with a possible end game location after a certain amount of maps giving the player something to aim for. Each map would have a limited amount of cars, motors, batteries, brass, schematics, weapons parts and instead of crate drops each map would have a set amount of caches/treasures/shops that the player can find before moving on to the next area and each map would get progressively harder through zombie types being unlocked in each area and the obvious progression of time with the blood moons and horde sizes. The player will also have to choose what to take to their next location as you can only take what is in you're backpack (and vehicle if you have one) and also choose which resources are best to take, weapons? Building materials? Crafting stations?... Do you spend time and effort in building a strong base camp or hope for secure buildings and rely on your weapons?... I think this would add a whole new level to the game without having to make too many changes to what makes this a very addicting game in the first place. Anywhoo, what do you zombie slayers think? | Posted: 16 Feb 2018 08:49 AM PST I know the game is not especially focused on individual combat being the major threat, but it would still be a fun change. I haven't even played that much, yet I already know the timing and animations well enough that even melee is really no issue to get constant headshots and never get hit. So... any mods that have found a way to change animations, make things more unpredictable with individual combat? Or any mods that make combat harder or more dangerous in some other way I'm not considering, other than just giving them more hp or making them hit harder? [link] [comments] | ||
| New ravenhearst server 16 slots pve Posted: 16 Feb 2018 07:40 AM PST Decided to go with a mod instead of vanilla. Server is up and running as of last night. Small group here that works together. Have plenty of room. Zombies are set high so they are everywhere. Server is locally hosted by me with only a bit of menu lag. 7 day hordes as well. Anyone interested shoot me a message or reply. | What was the point in even trying to sign up on TFP forums? Posted: 16 Feb 2018 09:08 AM PST I was looking for seeds, and came across a thread were people were posting there seeds with images. I clicked on an image. I couldn't access it. So, fine, I signed up for an account. Now I still can't access it as my account is worthless and has no permissions. WTF was the point of making an account and giving them my email? Why the hell are images locked down in the first place? [link] [comments] |
