a Warcraft netflix series would be potentially awesome. What do you think?

Posted: 02 Jan 2018 12:39 AM PST

The one reason why Warcraft's movie didn't do too well was because of the plot that was attempted to be made simple but came out with too many unexplained plot points. this is because Warcraft lore is too vast to be shoved into a 1hr 40 min movie.

But a live or Animated TV series would be the most efficient way of telling Warcraft's lore in a way that would make a lot more sense to the non-fan audience and also appeal to the fanbase.

The series could be closely canonical, direct continuation of the movie or a timeskip after those events if Duncan Jones and LegendaryPictures are down for it. (Warcraft 2 & 3 being told in a tv series rather than a movie sequel)

Considering they can take all the time to explain the lore, it can draw out into multiple seasons and character arcs. (Varian, Thrall, Arthas, etc) The possibilities are literally endless depending on where they want to end the series.

Though the CGI production cost for the orcs and stuff could be very costly. So it would be wise to start the first season with minimal CGI,(if it starts from Warcraft2, then the only ones that'd need CGI would be Thrall and Orgrim, Stormwind, etc) that way, if the season receives good publicity, they can then gradually step up the CGI and go crazy.

I feel like if they played their cards right, a Warcraft TV series could be very successful.

I really hope Blizz will add heritage armor for every race in the game.

Posted: 02 Jan 2018 06:20 AM PST

Humans, Orcs and Draenei have a few options of high quality armor that is really made for them. Most of the other races don't though. I think that's something that really should be fixed. I can't imagine that it'd take up an absolutely massive amount of development time either, as all the armors would only have to fit one race.

They could just add a few per patch, like they did with the pvp armor. I even think it could make sense to make heritage armors a reward for casual pvp.

Blizzard, it's time to up Legendary Drop Rate. We're in the last tier and I still have 11 Legs left to go (And they're all Spec Specific) - 6 Emmisary Chest, 4 paragon chests, 65 Argus Chests, 183 Argus Rares, 56 Argus Invasions, 30+ Dungeons since last one. It shouldn't be this hard to catch up.

Back after WoD burnout. Starting fresh and taking Pandaren advice to heart.

Wow had always been a huge part of who I am, so it's felt weird watching things happen from a distance, but every time I tried to get back in I would burn out immediately. For the past few days I've been leveling a mage (never played a caster) and I've been doing exactly what I remember being told a thousand times during mists: "slow down".

This is a fantasy rpg in which you are thrown into this immense exciting world, and we recently have been treating it like a loot pinata sandbox. These past few days I've felt so normal being in Azeroth again while leveling a human mage with no heirlooms and just letting the story sweep me away.

Anyway, it feels good to be back, and I missed the community almost as much as I've missed the world of Azeroth <3

Is there an addon for planning out mount hunting similar to what the simplearmory website does? What about exploration and other achievments?

Posted: 02 Jan 2018 05:27 AM PST

I'm looking for addons that give you an in game route for mount hunting runs similar to what http://simplearmory.com/ does.

I'm also looking for one to plan exploration/flight path unlocks/other achievements.

Stuff they can carry over from Legion into Battle for Azeroth

Posted: 02 Jan 2018 07:36 AM PST

If I had a choice between grinding mobs, doing dailies or doing world quests, I think I'd pick world quests. They get you out into the world so you aren't sitting in a hub all day. They get you fighting bosses, and doing specialised objectives. It's some new shit to do everyday. I think this format can really be expanded upon.

I also hope they keep the class-specific content. Not necessarily having a class hall, but having a section of the world (maybe just a hub within the capitals) dedicated to your class, as well as class-specific quest-lines.

I know there wont be a suramar, but a max-level zone with a dedicated quest line attached to it would be awesome. Maybe to be added in a later patch. I really enjoyed Suramar.
