I feel at some point the timelines merged, there are elements from Skyward Sword, Oot, TP and windwaker here. Not to mention Zelda refers to link as being the hero of three different games.

What do you think? I find it impaossible to place BOTW anywhere, maybe it has it's own timeline?

Idea for the next Zelda game.

I have an idea for the next game. Imagine, it opens up and you're playing as Link fighting Ganondorf. He laughs and introduces you to his oracle. The one who has looked across time and has seen Ganon's constant defeats at the hands of the Hero in most lifetimes. Ganondorf, puts Link in statis and Zelda manages to flee. Zelda doesn't know why Ganondorf chose not to kill Link. She's then trained by Impa (her personal guard) to defend herself as Impa knows Ganondorf is looking for her. Impa pledges allegiance to Zelda and vows that the Sheikah will help her storm the castle and destroy Ganon. Baring in mind Zelda is being hunted by Ganondorf, you cannot be in her princess form for very long, only certain parts of the game therefore most of the game will be played as Sheik. The sheikah slate from BOTW can return if she is sheik. To add to the runes used in BOTW, Zelda also has magic which can be used in that way. After a spying mission to Hyrule castle, She finds out Ganondorf has 7 anti-sages and they are going to the temples across the land of Hyrule to find the artefacts of the Hero of time to be used in a ritual to pull the triforce of courage out of Link without killing him, sealing him in the sacred realm therefore he can never be reborn to try to kill Ganon again. Zelda can then make it her mission (if the player wants to) to hunt the seven anti-sages down in the temples and stop them from collecting any of the artefacts, to stop Ganondorf getting that part of the triforce. Along the way Zelda has to (if you want to) make allies with the races of Hyrule as their mistrust in the royal family is rife, as once again she has failed to protect them from Ganondorf's return. She has to meet with the world leaders and convince them to become allies and agree to storm the castle with their armies. The rito, gerudo, zora, kokiri, the gorons, the dragons. Heck we could even send her into the twilight to seek help from Midna and the Twili. The shrines can return as ways to boost her stamina and hearts. It can be open world explorable. The day comes where they storm the castle. Zelda has to orchestrate the attack, who is going to go first, and where at what time. This all requires knowledge of the castle and surverying and scouting. Use each race's bonus to their advantage. If you chose to kill the seven anti-sages, When storming the castle Zelda can free Link and they can battle Ganon together. If she didn't Link stays in stasis and she has to fight him alone. Zelda (and Link if freed) have to fight the oracle, then Ganondorf and Ganon. It's very open world so immediately Zelda can storm hyrule castle with just the sheikah but then that isn't easy hence why she has to go and convince the others to join her cause. Also, this series is called the legend of Zelda. I think it's about time we give her time to shine and be the hero!
