Welcome to /r/Smite's weekly God Class Discussion Megathread. This is a place for the community to get together and discuss, theorycraft, and ask for help on playing each class.

This week we are focusing on WARRIORS.

Some ideas to get you started might include:

  • Tips and advice for playing any or all Warriors
  • Good builds, bad builds, and everything in between
  • What roles in each gamemode to play Warriors in
  • Where Warriors fit into the meta
  • Buffs or nerfs you would make and why
  • Questions about the gods or class as a whole

And anything else you can think of!

In memory of a special Ymir

I was playing Clash as Amaterasu on the left hand side, we are split pushing their towers. Suddenly, with no warning, I am surrounded by all five of the enemy team as they flank from right, apparently my team lost that fight. In a matter of seconds, I am getting CC'ed and my health going down fast. Then suddenly, Ymir appears out of seemingly nowhere and distracts them while I escape. As I am retreating, I see he is overwhelmed, so I turn to help him so hopefully he can peel as well, but as I turn I see Ymir raises a wall up, blocking off the enemies from chasing me, yet also locking himself in with them. Over the wall I hear "Save Yourself" so I hastily make my way back to base. As I retreat I see the notice pop up that Ymir didn't make it.

Never before have I seen such sacrifice from a random player. You sir, Adolf_The_White, are the hero I needed, but didn't deserve! We may have lost that fight, but your sacrifice was not in vain as we won the war!

There are some toxic players in this game, but man there are some good ones as well!

I myself am toxic to the core, I will not deny this. I am currently serving my second ban for hate messages on PSN I think its time I done something about this. As someone that's battled many things in their life and using it as an excuse its time I changed that. I miss smite so much and now I am at risk of being banned permanently (and rightly so) it has made me realise that despite all that may happen in my games, at the end of the day I can only do my best. Am I really doing that by sending messages fueled by pure raw hate? Am I doing that by destroying things within my room?

My problems go deeper then smite but they come out worst when I am on smite. Whilst I do think I am good at the game I think its about time I stopped abusing the Odin that went 7/17, or the Geb who died one too many times. Everyone has bad games and some people have bad days. And with this realisation I hope when I return I can instead of abuse people, support them in every way I can and this is what I plan on doing, I do think I have the right to get angry but never do I have the right to abuse someone because of it. If you have ever played with me and I have offended you in anyway (I know there is so so many..) I apologise from the bottom of my heart, because today I want to make a change and become that much better. I have looked into receiving help for my problems and I will be receiving the required treatment to help myself.

I only say this because smite is a big part of my life, watching the finals made me realise I love this game and how much I miss it... I only hope those that I have offended forgive me, and to those I will help and help me in the future I cannot wait to help the community grow and become bigger and better, I truly am excited for new beginnings.

A new HRX destination?

First of all I just want to say I'm very lucky to be in the spot I'm in and I owe it to hirez so I'm not trying to call them out I just want to hear what the community think and what hirez themselves think.

HRX has been held at the same venue every single year (maybe even 5 with launch tournament but I didn't play competitively at that time so I don't know). I'm sure there's a good reason outside of it being relatively close to hirez studios itself such as they must of built up a relationship with certain companies e.g. The company that supplies the screens etc etc.

My main issue against the location as a player is that it's in Georgia which we travel to a handful of times a year every year (makes me sound ungrateful but variety is the spice of life) but then again that isn't even a major issue

The fact that it's always in America is that it's extremely expensive for European fans to travel there especially with the time it's held (after Christmas and New Years). Some of my irl friends have wanted to come watch me play too but they're students and a spare $1000 isn't easy to come by even with a part time job.

In the keynote hirez said they aren't afraid to do something out the blue and try new things and with the changes to season 5 with salaries and orgs I think it may be time for hirez to try some snails and frogs legs next HRX if you get what i mean.

-things I'm thinking of which I forgot in the main part:

There's orgs like ESL etc which hirez can partner with to make it even easier to do. May be more expensive than the Cobb place but I'm sure hirez is making enough bank to pay the extra which they would've spent on the usual spot.

I'm not asking for it to be every year. Just once.... or twice

Europe is amazing for all the different cultures you can experience. Every country has its pro's of why it could be a good place to go.

"What about the NA fans?!!!"-NA fan Pay the fuck up like the Europeans.

I think dreamhack Valencia showed how much love the eu fans have. The staff had to bring out more and more chairs every game and even then, there was still a lot of people standing at the back watching (smite had the biggest crowd by a mile, ahead of csgo etc)

Detailed streams stats Smite World Championship 2018

Me and my gf went to the SWC screening in Dallas Texas but we didn't get the card that contains the code for the SWC digital loot pack and HRX digital loot pack (for Paladins). I called the theater about it and the manager said you can come up to the podium (where they take your tickets) and tell them you came for the screening. As of today (1/8/2017) there's was a fairly big stack maybe 50-100 cards you don't have to show stubs or a ticket to confirm purchase, the manager nor the usher seemed to care but if they ask why didn't you get it on Sunday say that the weird tall guy with the long blonde hair didn't say anything about the card. So if you live nearby or have someone who lives nearby or you're a good person who'd like to give away the code go to Cinemark 17 on Webb chapel Dallas tx. I will use my code to claim it for PC but the card says you can use it across all platforms so I guess DM if you want it for ps4 or xbox one.

EDIT: both PS4 and Xbox One codes have been given away, the card says it's also available for Steam not sure if they check their code separate from the regular smite launcher so maybe if you use Steam you could get the code

The idea of S4 ticket and Odyssey was for the HRX prize pool. Yet no one know what was the prize

I remember the odyssey was introduce back in S1 to collect money for the prize pool of SWC S1, back then there was an AI telling how much money is being collected and in the SWC there was a graph showing how much money each place get.

Yet now there is no 3rd and 4th place, and it doesn't seem like anyone know what the prizes even were.

So where does all the money from S4 Odyssey go?

Name for Cerberus

Saw a post or tweet one day saying Cerberus' heads needed names. Well, my friend found this information, I googled as well to give myself some more reassurance with it. Cerberus comes from the Greek word Kerberos. Taking Kerberos and making it "Latinized" (sure?) translates roughly to Spotted. Pretty much Hades, named his three-headed Guardian of Hell dog, "Spot".
