Make GWD2 Challenge mode worth it by buffing rewards

If you can do well at challenge mode, it should simply be a better option than normal mode for money, at the very least, on par. It's particularly egregious in cases like Vindicta, for example, where the boss has much more HP and hits you significantly harder, resulting in longer kills and more effort to sustain trips without banking. CM Helwyr is no walk in the park either. And yet, the drop rate increase is not nearly sufficient to compensate (1/253 vs 1/177 at max reputation with LotD).

There is a reason that no one ever goes back to challenge mode after the 100 kc required for IFB except for record attempts. There is no reason to. You will make less money per hour for more effort.

This post is not asking to make the fights easier by any means, but rather for a reward buff that will make challenge mode the optimal route for those hunting pets/collections/GP if they can handle it and are willing to put in the effort. Even making it as good would be a start, as right now they are plain worse.

(The same logic applies to GWD1 as well, although that is less of an issue since GWD1 hardmode is worth doing for pets, especially after first threshold, and GWD2 is a much more relevant piece of content.)

Hit Tuzzy pet droprate today, 923 days or 2.5 years since raids was released (that's 461 available loots, plus another 10-15 for winter weekend bonus resets), have only ever missed a handful of Beastmaster loots in that time, and used rerolls on BM since the day I unlocked them, which is well over 800 chances for the pet. To make matters worse, achto and codices take priority over the pet, which is SIGNIFICANTLY rarer.

For the love of god, this is too long to go dry on a pet, when I could go this dry again. You can get trim comp from a fresh account in 2.5 years, IFB, MoA, MQC, nothing else takes this long.

This pet needs some form of bad luck mitigation, whether it be a threshold or a buyable drop enhancer from the raid store (make it insanely expensive and/or only available once everything else is owned) or a rare trade-able drop people can buy from other players to boost their chance or even make it available off loot. Anything...

If anyone has any legitimate reasons why this shouldn't happen, please comment rather than anonymously downvote.

Get your feet wet in PvM in this laid-back boss mass marathon!

Hey reddit,

A friend of mine is hosting a marathon mass. Here is the schedule (in-game time)

Sunday 21st January. 0830-1900 GAME TIME (0330 - 1400 EST)

0830-0930 = Twin Furies

0940-1040 = Gregorovic

1050-1150 = Helwyr

1200-1300 = Vindicta & Gorvek

1315-1415 = Nex (Bank if needed between kills, but will remain in instance so take 2 Combat styles)

1430-1530 = Kalphite King

1545 - 1645 - Vorago

1700 - 1900 = Nex Angel of Death

Everyone is very chill and learner-friendly. I recommend watching some guides on the bosses you want to do.

Hello to everyone here at the Runescape Reddit.

 

I would like to warn everyone since it is apparently possible to be hacked and lose all of your items with all possible Security options enabled. This is NOT asking for account help and NOT asking for free items. This post is about warning others.

Now, the only change I have made to my security is enable the Google Authenticator the day before I got hacked.

 

On Friday the 19th of January I tried to log into my account but it was locked. Somewhat baffled, I do the necessary stuff to be able to log in. I enter the game and see that all of my items are gone, Bank and Cash pouch included. Both RS3 AND OSRS!

Now, I lost about 500M in items, Cash, Bonds, and I realise I will not get that back by making this post. That's fine.

 

What bothers me most: My email address is still secure, my Authenticator is enabled, my Bank PIN is still in place. My computer is safe as well. Yet that hacker was able to take all of my items without needing any of this? Nobody at all knows any of my account details and I haven't had any problems in 5 years.

 

I am scared to play and acquire items again, since people can apparently bypass all possible security and just take it. Where is my Guaranteed Safety with all of these features enabled?

 

I don't know if anyone from Jagex reads this subreddit, I don't come here often. I would like to know what I could change or do to help Account Safety.

 

Thank you for reading this, please check all of your own Security features even though I have no clue whether that matters anymore.

 

TLDR; All security options were enabled, lost all of my items. Scared to keep playing since it might happen again.
