Resurrection mech serum.

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 01:37 PM PST

I have a 6 year old colony and it's very wealthy. Recently, I got attacked by a swarm of mechanoids and one of my original colonists died to multiple gunshot injuries (brawlers, am I right?). He had a wife, one other original colonist. We didn't have time to take care of his corpse because we got attacked by a sapper party. This was a costly fight but we managed to fend off the offensive by baiting the fuck out of their doomsday launchers (haha, get teamkilled, you pirate scum!). Later, I built a sarcophagus for my beloved colonist and buried him… he was buried for 6 hours, before my dumb ass realized that I had a resurrection serum casually laying around in my vault. I revived him and mended his severe brain damage with synthetic skin (praise EPOE). Now… the question is… how do I remove the debuff from his wife? She is going ape shit in my ruined base and disturbing my construction works. Oh! I know! I'll make her brawler husband beat her into unconsciousness with a giant mace, give her a good-old family reunion!

Have a nice day, everyone!

Jeff "huntsman" Dankmann: age: 90 Traits: pyromaniac, depressive, lazy, very neurotic Incapable of dumb labour, skilled labour, violent, social, cooking, mining Health: scratch scar x3, bad back, frail, luciferium need, alcohol addiction, wake-up addiction, peg leg, denture

Day 1: I was just captured by a group calling themselves "the lit squad 5500" They say they'll treat me well but i don't trust them… They are making us sleep on the ground after all… And we don't have tables! Who wouldn't at least give us a table At least i'm not alone, there are a few other prisoners, they say their names are henry, gary, alex, and carl. Day 2: They took my clothes! What kind of barbarians are these people?! And what is this goo they are feeding me? Day 3: Apparently the "food" is called nutrient paste and i'll get used to it, but no one knows what's actually in it. Day 4: O-onanasthetic they...tookmy kidney whatthaheck Day 5: they killed henry! They cut his heart out and proceeded to take him away somewhere I don't know what kind of place this is but it's obvious they want to kill us! Day 6: They… they cut my legs off… Day 7: For some reason, the food today reminded me of henry… Not sure why… Day 8: I don't even have a table- i don't even have a goddamn table!!!!!1!! the pages are ripped out of the book after this point

Does anyone know a mod that completely randomizes cargo pods?

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 06:36 PM PST

As the title asks. I would prefer one that works with mod items. I wanna do a 1 man game where I start with only 3 days of food, 5 medicine, and whatever my daily cargo feels like being. Rip the 3 legendary uranium/etc. large sculpture day one drop lol

My Tragic Colony

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 06:37 PM PST

So I just recently started playing with permadeath on and it is so more rewarding and let's you really enjoy the story instead of save scumming like in my most recent colony. It was a pretty now colony so I'm not to upset about its demise but anyway two of my colonists had become lovers one of those being our only docter. During one of the battles her lover was killed and this sent her into a mental break she wandered around until she collapsed but by then she was to weak from malnutrition to walk and then we got hit with another raid nobody could medical so everyone bled to death while my only docter starved herself to death. 10/10 would play again.

You can see exactly where the mortars hit the raid and which way to ran to attack afterwards ;)

How bad is Blocked Artery?

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 08:49 PM PST

My pawn just turned 38 and got clogged/blocked artery. My best doctor is level 9 or 10 not 100% sure. Should I be worrying about surgery/organ transplant? I'd have to capture a raider first but that seems doable if need be.

Mod to micro dirt cleaning?

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 10:32 PM PST

It's pretty annoying that some rooms are still slightly dirty even after I've right clicked all visible dirt (because I've missed some covert dust particles).

Even more annoying is how I can't just quickly click on a room and give a command to clean all of it.

Any mod that helps sort this problem?

I KNOW that I can just draft my colonists in the room and then lock the door but that's a bit annoying. I have to draft them, then forbid the entrance, then undraft, then wait, then unforbid the entrance.

Does the temperature you set coolers/heaters to have any impact on them breaking down?

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 03:51 PM PST

Checked the wiki and couldn't find an answer. Is there a difference in power consumption or greater likelihood of breaking for a heater doing 150 degrees Fahrenheit vs 90 degrees Fahrenheit or a similar cooler doing 0 degrees Fahrenheit vs -40 Fahrenheit?

What Do You Do When You've Run Out of Steel On Your Map?

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 04:56 PM PST

Just like the title says, what do you do when you've run out of mineable steel? I've purchased steel before from traders. Is this the way to go?

TIL Rimworld jade is flammable.

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 10:13 AM PST

I'm mostly just confused about this.

A drop pod carrying jade killed a wild boomalope, and this ignited the jade. As I'm thinking, "What? Jade is a mineral, why is it on fire?", I click on it and lo and behold it has 20% flammability. If this in any way reflects reality, I'm having trouble finding sources to back it up.
