could we get an alternate button for switching to pistol, or just optional button mapping in general on xbox?

why not hold Y to switch to it, or set it to up on the dpad like a melee and then you can toggle between your pistol and pan with Y. right now once you have two primaries, it is a major disadvantage to hold onto a pistol since hitting y just cycles your weapons. you end up in a fight, try to switch to your other primary and get gunned down because you are trying to plink them with a pistol instead of your rifle. but at the same time, it is great to have a last resort for if you are out of ammo. its a very situational weapon, but great to have even late game, it just needs some tweeks on the button mapping.

Drop chances from crates and why you shouldn't open them

I was bored today and had $250.00 just sitting in my steam wallet. With nothing better to do I thought I'd just buy a bunch of crates and see what the drop chances are like. (Results can be seen in this pictureor in the below text)

 

I bought 500 Wanderer Crates, which average at about $0.38 per box ($190.00). Out of the 500 crates, I got 472 gray items, 27 teal items, and 1 blue item. After doing some price checking on the market, the items add up to make $40.32 (net loss of $149.68). As for the drop percentages, gray was 94.4%, teal was 5.4%, blue was 0.2%, and everything else (purple, magenta, red) is unknown though having not dropped in the 500 crates means they are less than 0.2% drop chance. I also tested survivor crates, but seeing an obvious pattern I stopped at 50 so the sample size could be better.

 

Just looking at these results though, it's obvious the drop chances are terrible and the current steam market prices ($0.38 per wanderer crate and $0.60 per survivor crate) are way overpriced when compared to the prices of the individual items. If you look at the market, none of the gray items come close to $0.38 in value and neither do any of the teal items. Literally, when opening the crate you have a 99.8% chance of losing money. In other words, it's way better to just sell the boxes you get and buy any items you want individually with the return.

 

Just sell 2 boxes and you can buy all the gray items for $0.58 in total (hell, you probably just scammed the poor bastard that bought those crates from you only to find 2 pairs of "Working Boots") or even buy 4 teal items and make you're friends think your the luckiest bastard ever. Want those "Hotpants", but think $110.00 is too much and you can get it for less by buying crates? I guarantee you (with 99.8% certainty) that buying boxes instead will only make you spend more money and look like an ass while doing it when you come out with nothing but a ton of gray items.

 

tl;dr The drop chances are terrible, the steam prices are way too overpriced for crates, the steam prices are way too underpriced for individual items, always sell you're crates when you get them and use the money to buy any individual items you want.

Honestly, nothing else gets me killed as often as the rubberbanding at the start of the match when youre trying to grab your first gun and ammo for it.

My pubg freezes when loading

Hello, so I cannot play this game at all because it fails to start, it shows me the main lobby wallpaper/screen for a 0.5 sec then it freezes like This and nothing else happens, music keeps on playing. Haven't played the game since full release at all, wanted to finally try it out. Help please.
