| Posted: 23 Jan 2018 12:15 PM PST 1) Yes, there are server issues, and the potential for you to be placed in a queue when you log in, as per BlizzardCS on Twitter. This has happened every time new content comes out. Be patient, and play comp at your own risk. 2) Lootcrates you've obtained before today's update will NOT produce new skins. The contents of lootcrates are determined as you receive them, NOT as you open them. 3) Mercy and Junkrat balance changes are NOT included in today's patch, as per Jeff Kaplan. SoonTM 4) Blizzard World will be disabled in comp until the beginning of Season 9, as per Griffin. 5) Texture bugs on Pilot D.Va in her new Cat skin. Yes, she's pink. No, she shouldn't be. If you fix this, the guns match her skins far better and don't obfuscate the logo, so I made some examples. These items will be around forever and they won't become unobtainable for the rest of the year like event items do, there's really no reason to go crazy trying to get everything as soon as possible. So don't be upset when you open 20 lootboxes and don't see anything new, only very high level players who already have all of the old items will be guaranteed to get anything new right away. | "I'll fill" does not mean "I'll Mercy" Posted: 23 Jan 2018 09:08 AM PST As a proud flex player, I do my best to accommodate my teams strengths and weaknesses. If we have a bunch of dps mains, I'll be happy to mercy. If we have a bunch of support mains, I can dps. If all is well, I main tank and can adjust playstyle to fit the teams composition and plan. I have noticed that I, and a lot of other fill players, are being cornered into Mercy when it is clearly not best for the team [edit - because they should be filling somewhere else or not filling at all]. A bunch of times this weekend, I've offered to fill, which resulted in me solo healing as mercy despite having multiple support mains on the team. I understand that having the opportunity to switch things up is very tempting, but it shouldn't be a surprise that a diamond mercy main can't perform as genji or roadhog at the same level. When somebody offers to fill, they are not offering to take over the role that got you to where you are (this goes for all characters, not just mercy). We are trying to literally fill gaps, because a team performs best when everybody is playing with a character that they are comfortable and competent with. "I'll fill" does not mean "I'll Mercy". PlayStation 4 players also have widespread issues when connecting to PlayStation Network. This may result in loss of connection or failure to connect to any PlayStation service. Follow this webpage for their current status. For either issue please avoid Competitive Play! Penalties for leaving games still apply if you disconnect and cannot be reversed! So I'm laying it all on the line for them to do the unthinkable. Edit: So this got larger than I expected while I was at work. Answers to some questions/responses I see repeated: Will you weasel out by saying more than 1 map taken isnt 'a single map' Nope, any score above 0 will seal the deal and I will deliver results. Only exception is I won't accept a 0-3 where they manage a draw round, gotta be a win. The upset could never happen I really, really hope it does! This isn't made to poke fun at SHD for an impossible task, I want these boys to rise and rise and denting the best team in the league really makes it seem a lot more possible. All the others in this thread showing their support and doing less crazy bets is great and the kind of pickup this team really needs right now. SHD already took a map from shock so isn't 0-40 impossible? The 0-40 score is the reults of whole games (of 4 or 5 maps) across the whole season. Having played 4 games, SHD is currently 0-4.
