LEAKED: Dosia Eye Tracking | Eleague Major Disqualification?

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 12:42 PM PST

Can we please get a BO5 Major Final?

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 07:54 AM PST

The BO5's are way better since the Final is on a separate day than the Semifinals.

Also, it gives the teams to show who has a more superior map pool which is quite important for a Major Champion, if one team gets 2 of their better maps and the other team gets one, that could influence who wins the Major.

Also, they're more fun to watch as you're always on your toes in agony over "damn my team just lost that one but they have a good chance to bring it back next match!"

ELEAGUE also wins here, they get to show more "Prime" ads(Not like "Twitch Prime", more like Television ads, the FIFA World Cup brings in a bigger revenue, with more Premium Advertisments than your local High school Team playing "No-Name Joe" in the sandpit out back). It makes sense to have more Ads as well as more expensive Ads.

Don't you denizens of the subreddit agree?

Why is this not a thing, ELEAGUE?

Also, I'm pretty sure this is not the first time the community has cried over this, I've seen a thread for both 2017 majors on this topic.

Please tell me if I've missed any other reason for a BO5 instead of a BO3 and if you want, you can argue why a BO3 is better.

Using the fat guy theory and GHR to find out who will win the Boston 2018 Major

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 01:04 PM PST

(https://youtu.be/sx6QdRmMIeo context for this post)

Before I get started let's review the teams and lineups for the major.

FaZe clan

Olofmeister Guardian Niko Karrigan Rain

Fnatic

Flusha JW Golden Lekro Krimz

Mousesports

Oskar chrisj Styko ropz suNny

QBF

Boombl4 balblna jMqA kvik waterfallZ

Cloud 9

Skadoodle Rush Tarik Autimatic Stewie2k

SK Gaming

Fallen Taco Coldzera Felps Fer

G2 Esports

Shox NBK Apex bodyy Kennys

Natus Vincere

Edward Zeus S1mple electronic flamie

With that being said, let's jump into it. I'll start off with the top of this list and work my way down. I'll narrow it down to a select group of teams using the fat guy theory, then narrowing that list down with the hair theory.

FaZe Clan Guardian is a strong helper for FaZe, and although niko could have been a strong contender a year ago, his weight loss has weakened his effect. So FaZe: ✅

Fnatic JW and flusha will continue to provide this team with 2 points towards the fat guy theory, making them a force to be reckoned with. Fnatic: ✅

Mousesports Though some members of mouz may be considered a bit overweight, none are big enough to be counted (in my opinion at least). Mouz: ❌

QBF Boombl4 is obviously a big help to QBF and I'd say QBF have a fair shot of winning this major. QBF: ✅

Cloud 9 Not a single fat guy here, GHR will have to play a pivotal role in the success of this team. C9: ❌

SK gaming Here's where it gets tricky. Since SK is still roster locked with felps, that means boltz can't carry the weight (no pun intended) of being the fat guy for the team. But at the same time, boltz is still technically on the SK roster so it may have an effect on the team, like how envyus's manager had an effect on the teams outcome. For now, I will credit SK with the point. SK gaming: ✅

G2 Esports No fat guys to find here, will have to rely on GHR. G2 Esports: ❌

Natus Vincere Navi's main contributor will be flamie this tournament, passing the team through this part of the test. Navi: ✅

Now that this portion of the test is out of the way, it's time to take a look at the GHR of the teams who didn't qualify for the fat guy theory. Again, I'll begin at the top then work my way down. Reminder: this ratio should be as close to 1 as possible. The team that reaches closest to one will qualify for the next stage, whereas the other teams will be disqualified. Also, these hair styles are based off my opinion alone, so take these scores with a grain of salt.

Mouz Chrisj: Average hair +0 Oskar: Average hair +0 ropz: Nice hair +1 Styko: Messy hair most of the time -1 SuNny: Nice hair +1

Cloud 9 Rush: Weird curly hair -1 Tarik: Average hair +0 Stewie2k: Nice hair +1 Autimatic: Nice hair +1 Skadoodle: Very sexy farm boy hair +10

G2 Esports NBK: Nice hair +1 Shox: Weird anime hair -1 Kennys: Nice hair +1 apEX: Nice hair +1 bodyy: Nice hair +1

Final Scores

Mouz: 1 Cloud 9: 11 G2: 3

Judging from these scores and from the lack of fat men in their teams, we can conclude that cloud 9 and g2 will not be winning this major, although mousesports will qualify for the next round against teams with fat guys on them.

Now, we will look at the GHR on the teams with fat guys on them.

FaZe Clan Niko: Nice hair +1 Olofmeister: Average hair +0 Rain: Average hair +0 Guardian: Average hair +0 Karrigan: Average hair +0

Fnatic Lekro: Average hair +0 Flusha: Not good hair -1 JW: Average hair +0 Krimz: Nice beard +1 Golden: Nice hair +1

QBF

Boombl4: Bad hair -1 Balblna: Bad hair -1 jMqA: Nice hair +1 Kvik: Nice hair +1 waterfallZ: Bad hair -1

SK Gaming Coldzera: Nice hair +1 Fallen: Average hair +0 Taco: Beanie +0 Felps: Messy hair -1 Fer: Bad hair -1

Natus Vincere Edward: Messy curly hair -1 S1mple: Average hair +0 Zeus: Average hair +0 Electronic: Bad hair -1 Flamie: Average hair +0

Final results for this round

FaZe: 1 Fnatic: 1 QBF: -1 SK: -1 Navi: -2 Mousesports: 1

From these results, you can see mouz, FaZe, and fnatic have come out on top from the rest of the pack. Since mouz has no fat guy to back their team up, they too will be eliminated now. Now it's down to fnatic and FaZe. Now, since fnatic has the luxury of having two fat guys on their team compared to fazes one, I think it is fair to say that fnatic will be the next major champion. You heard it here first folks. Thanks for reading.

Buying Tickets to eSports Events is always a terrible experience. Paying full price and buying early ALWAYS punishes the consumer, because prices always go down. Organizers need to stop doing this, either price your tickets fairly, or read the market better.

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 11:55 AM PST

This has been something that's really triggered me since last year, and, with Eleague now offering $20 tickets to Eleague Boston, after originally selling tickets for $120, and hell, even trying to sell VIP Packages for $400, it's a real slap to the face.

Here's a post I made a year ago, for reference-

Honestly, can I say how much it makes me tilts me that most eSports event >punish people for supporting them and paying full price for event tickets?

Paid $60 for ELeague Major tickets? lol here's a 50% of ticket to bring it to $30.

Paid $40 for IEM Oakland tickets? LEL here's a 50% off code! Actually JK here's >completely free Student Tickets!

Paid $60 for ESL One New York tickets? LUL here's a 25% off code a week >before the event!

Paid $50 for ELeague Season 1 Finals? Here's a 50% off code a month before >the event.

Stop punishing me for buying tickets at the listed price. :( When I spend >$1,000+ to fly out to places to spend a weekend, those $60 (after Ticket Master >fees) could buy me food for like two days here in Oakland.

At this point, I'm going to start refusing to buy tickets until the day before the >event."

r/GlobalOffensive/comments/5dl99q/5_thousand_iem_oakland_student_tickets/da5far1/

Evidently, I didn't learn my lesson since then.

But also since then, I've had 3 of the 3 events I attend from 2017/2018 also pull the same shtick.

IEM Oakland 2017 once again, handed out free student tickets and released a discount code a month before the event started.

Eleague Major has issued multiple promotions for discounted tickets. They issued 25% off tickets for a limited time two weeks ago, reissued another 25% last week, and have now sent emails for locals to purchase tickets at a $100 discount, leaving locals from Boston to sell these tickets on Reddit for $50 in multiple threads (Can't hate the player)

I remember I bought my tickets when I saw this ad.

https://i.redd.it/9wl24antyj901.jpg

"Limited quantities" available, haha...

Can organizers please stop trying to price their tickets at extremely high prices if we've seen they don't sell? It may be "smart" business, to charge people what they're willing to pay, but at the same time, it seriously is a slap to the face to anyone willing to support esports and attend these events.
