I have a pretty reliable gigabit fiber line that has never given me troubles before. Played a game with some friends shortly after the AI game and we were all experiencing the issue (250-400ms). | What happened to playing Hero Trailers or Cinematics between matches/during long breaks in HCG? Posted: 20 Jan 2018 02:38 PM PST Every break I've seen so far in 2018 has just been a static screen with some filler music and a countdown clock. The countdown clock screen was present occasionally last year, but in most cases whenever there was a significant break between games/series they would play HotS trailers, cinematics or recent hero spotlights. I haven't seen any in 2 days of HGC 2018 (especially surprising since the new Mechastorm trailer would probably be a popular addition to the rotation). It's a minor change but breaks are definitely more boring now. It seemed like a decent way to keep viewers more engaged, spawned some chat memes and felt like an attempt to sell the game to non-players who might be tuning in. Might not have been perfect, but weren't those videos better than nothing? Anyone know if this is an oversight and are trailers/spotlights/cinematics planned to come back? But performance is much worse than 200 ms; skills are coming out about 1,000-2,000 ms delayed. Anybody else experiencing severe lag on the Central US servers? | Something positive for a change. Posted: 20 Jan 2018 07:24 AM PST I just had a QM game where one of our Teammates (chen player) went afk until he got kicked out and became a bot. Our Cassia player then took the role of chen and constantly dived into 5 people and blamed afk chen for everything. What followed was a barrage of insults until he/she also left the game. So we ended up with 2 Bots (chen,cassia), what followed where 10 very frustrating minutes with lots of deaths. BUTTT we were playing on Haunted Mines and had a murky and Gazlowe and we knew if we just stall them long enough we could actually win this. The cassia player returned at the 25 min mark probably thinking the game was long over, and left again immediatly when he realized we were still fighting to win this. Long story short, murky and gazlowe went on to destroy all their forts and keeps, constantly splitting the enemy team. at the 29th minute mark, we caught 3 of them off guard doing a camp and after we killed them we rushed to their core and won. Soooo maybe this will cheer you guys up a little bit. Somewhere beyond the wall of toxic players and leavers, there is still hope. Never surrender... High speed UK internet connection with average pings of around 15-20ms in other European servers. As the title says, I get wildly varying pings in hots, upwards of 150ms, and as low as 20. It really effects gameplay, where I have died because of it. However, in other intense games, on European servers, such as Rainbow Six: Siege, I get a stable 15-20ms with no trouble. It wasn't always this way with HOTS, it seems to be a recent issue honestly. I tried posting on the forum however it just doesn't create any posts for me, and the support page directs me to said forum. I also tried reinstalling the game to no avail. Most of their names are the same (with slight pronunciation differences), however The Butcher and Stitches have different names. D. Va is the only character who keeps her original name written in the latin alphabet, even though she's South Korean. I remember how much I used to enjoy him back in the day and for the most part I'd say the HOTS team did a wonderful job bringing him back into the fold. His mobility and utility is great, his self sustain can be nasty if you spec into it and all around he can be a huge pain in the ass to the enemy team. Only downside to him that I've noticed so far is his trait. They took Even in Death away and now looking past that, his trait feels pretty sub par. Sure it can be effective for zoning etc etc but it just does not feel like... Idk... Tyrael... Besides that thank you for the changes! I'm not pro with him by any means but I really enjoy him!
