Would people like a big city in the next game? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 05:58 AM PST I'm not sure how feasible it is with Bethesda's engine (daily routines for NPCs etc) but something that felt missing to me in Fallout 4 especially was a big city. New Vegas came close to this with the Strip plus all the casinos and I think it really helps the game world. With a large population centre you can open up lots of potential quests surrounding supplies, political intrigue etc. Diamond City and Rivet city, though I liked the design of them as towns never really cut it for me in this respect and I hope the next game goes bigger. Edit: Just to clarify I'm talking wasteland settlements here, created by Bethesda or whoever. Not that I want the whole map taken up by a real life city like New York etc. [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jan 2018 11:22 AM PST Fallout 4. Level 84. Over 8 days spent in-game on this single character. All DLC Completed. All locations explored. All quests (non-repeating) completed. No more settlements to help. No more companions to befriend. Nothing left to achieve :( [link] [comments]
New Vegas Strip in New Vegas underwhelming? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 07:45 AM PST Don't get me wrong, I love this game, but I was curious what others thought about this. Personally finally getting to the Strip felt very underwhelming. Through out the game many NPC's talk about it like it's a huge city. By the time i came there, all stoked up wondering what it would be like, I felt disappointed. The Strip itself is just 2 little parts of streets with some casino's. The area around the strip is actually pretty big but feels pretty disconnected to the Strip itself. I'd like to know your opinions on this matter. What did you guys expect before getting there and what was it like when you finally got there? [link] [comments]

In Fallout 4, downtown Boston is basically a war zone. Posted: 08 Jan 2018 10:35 PM PST But the hostile factions are all dotted across in random areas. Sure, you'll see them occasionally fight each other, but there are no battle lines. You'll see gunners guarding a building surrounded by raiders and super mutants a few blocks away. Then you'll see gunners again. How do logistics work? Do the super mutants just let the gunners walk through to get supplies? [link] [comments]
I know its a strange question, but does anyone else do this strange thing in fallout 3 or nv? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 11:40 AM PST I always jump then jump just as i hit the ground, so that i get this strange effect, as I'm travelling across the wastes, this avoids a strange sinking effect that you normally get from jumping. Its just a strange habit that i have, that i wonder if anyone else does. [link] [comments]
X8-66 Not Following Despite Saying He Is OK to Follow Me Posted: 09 Jan 2018 06:15 AM PST I am on GOTY X1X and I sent x8-66 to Red Rocket but now he is now stuck there as he is not following me. He tells me he is ready for next mention and when I press Follow, he just stands there. Basically ignoring the follow command. I have not yet completed Mass Fusion and with good terms with the Institute. All other followers follow me apart from him. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions? Thanks [link] [comments]
Sanctuary, the weird ladys cow. Posted: 09 Jan 2018 08:17 AM PST There is this trader that decided to move into sanctuary ages back when Sanctuary started to thrive, she's been there for ages I considered it to be some form of glitch or something, but what interested me was her cow, that house with the work bench and the power armor modifier, it seems that the cow likes to sleep on its roof, however it gets up their idk, other times it manages to get inside the house and knock all my stuff over like WTF, and other times I'll see it sprinting around in between the rocket stop and sanctuary at the bridge area, the lady just walks around like a dungbat. Has this happened to you too or am I just one of the lucky or unlucky few??? [link] [comments]
What game, in your opinion, had the best soundtrack? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 08:11 AM PST In my opinion i would say Fallout 1. The disturbing soundtrack of each area, made everything feel so bleak and sad, as if the world was done for good. [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jan 2018 03:12 PM PST All I know is that it is a form of gambling that is on a lower tier, compared to places in the strip. Plus you need 30 cards, which you can build, but what are the rules? Also are there people you can play against that vary in difficulty? Finally, can you make alot of caps off this game? Any help would be great. [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jan 2018 05:54 AM PST The Institute: They say they want to save mankind but I find that very hard to believe. From Synths replacing people for reasons unexplained, to kidnapping and experimenting the FEV virus on Commonwealth citizens and last but not least they have all this technology but have yet to make helpful use of it on the surface. The Brotherhood of Steel: Once deemed the good guys, in this game they come across as more of a Nazi-ish kinda group. Their intentions are in the right place, but their ideas and actions show they are bigots. They believe in the extermination of all ghouls (includes non-feral) and Synths (Nick, Curie & Danse). They also hoard technology to keep it away from the wrong hands, but at the same time they build a huge fucking robot who uses nukes as projectiles. The Railroad: Their intentions are in the right place by wanting to free enslaved Synths, but little do they realize that once they help synths escape the Institute, they are still going to face problems on the surface just like any other wastelanders. Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders, etc. The Minutemen: And last but not least the Minutemen. Their goal seems the most noble. Protecting the Commonwealth citizens from harm and wanting to shape the wasteland to a much safer state. They aren't bigots and are willing to help anyone who needs help as long as they aren't evil. But the problem is they are the weakest faction. They aren't a trained army or anything close to it. They are basically armed farmers/settlers/drifters. Once the Sole Survivor dies the Minutemen are bound to fall apart once more. [link] [comments]

TIL There's an explanation for all the crazy security measures at REPCONN Posted: 09 Jan 2018 03:43 PM PST The Think Thank, or at least a member who had a personal struggle with Repconn's owner Mr.House *cough cough Dr.0 *, attempted to use the Stealth suit Mk 2 to infiltrate the Repconn building and steal from there. As seen in the image when you do the Stealth trials with the suit the areas you have to sneak in are really similar to the ones of the Building, with the same posters and everything. Since House is usually two steps ahead he probably knew about it and accepted installing all those security measures regardless of how expensive. Specially knowing that his long end plans involve space colonization. [link] [comments]
Any info on new creation club? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 03:25 PM PST Not that I buy any of it I just enjoy seeing what they add. But it seems to be at a standstill [link] [comments]
| Am I the only one who actually likes Caesar's Legion? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 03:24 PM PST Their society might seem cruel but in order to survive in the post-apocalyptic world, you need a society of warriors. Caesar is an intelligent man who realizes that a monolitic society ruled by a capable hand is the only society that can survive in the long run. I know we are not living in the apocalypse but I'd actually love to see The Legion's philosophy implemented in real life. Only problem I have with it is slavery because it is bad for the economy. Get rid of that part and I will welcome Caesar as the leader of mankind immediately. My personal views aside, let's have a look at the other factions:

(FO4) Cant get rid of the squire! Posted: 09 Jan 2018 07:49 AM PST Anyone know how to get rid of this kid? The spa the quest sent me to doesn't even exist so I can't complete the mission and so he won't leave either - also him having repetitive dialogue triggered every three seconds isn't adding to the fun experience 😧 My last manual save was ages ago but I I'll go to it if that's only way to be free [link] [comments]
What I personally would like as the canonical ending to Fallout 4 (Spoilers) Posted: 09 Jan 2018 12:58 AM PST So I've played the F4 main story many different times in many different ways. But I didn't know that you could be on good terms with both the Brotherhood, Railroad, and Minutemen at the same time until recently. Dumb I know but I think this is important. Sure I think this ending would be an uneasy peace but I think there's a reason why this ending is possible. With the Institute gone I feel like the Railroad members would probably get all the remaining synths out and go back into normal lives or even join the Minutemen. And with the Minutemen and possibly Brotherhood protecting the Commonwealth the citizens would feel safe enough to try the Commonwealth Provisional Government again. While it may have failed the last time I feel that because the people no longer have to worry about the Institute the people could get along more and try to create a stable government. With DC, GN, V81, BH, and maybe Sanctuary or the Castle being the big players in this Government. Hopefully if the citizens could put aside their bigotry this could be a possibility. And because the General of the Minutemen has a good relationship with the Brotherhood, he could supply his men with better weapons. The Minutemen and Brotherhood could serve as the CPG's army. Mostly Minutemen probably. With the Commonwealth united I believe that the people may try to become as powerful as the NCR maybe. It all depends on the leader. Which is you, the Sole Survivor. I feel like Fallout 4's Story could be the beginning of a larger story. The rise of the CPG. Something that could be the east coast equivalent of the NCR. But this is an extremely naïve and optimistic way of looking at things. Lots of holes and issues could easily stop this from being a reality. The biggest hole being the Brotherhood's and Railroad's ability to coexist. Or even the Brotherhood letting Goodneighbor exist at all. Or the fact that bickering might plague the CPG. Or that the Minutemen are simply too incompetent. I always see people saying that the MM will never be as great as the NCR. And I could see where you're coming from. But I feel that the CPG could possibly hold the Minutemen together even without the Sole Survivor. And I think the people of the Commonwealth feels like they owe the Minutemen. You could tell because settlers go up to Preston and give him gifts. You get money randomly for fighting for the people. The people of the Commonwealth really appreciate what the Minutemen are doing. So I believe that they could work together for a common cause, to help each other. And I hope it could transcend the race barriers too. I know this ending seems unrealistic but I feel like it would be a nice ending. The rise of the CPG could kickstart a new era for the American wasteland. And isn't that what being the main character of a Fallout game is about? Changing the wasteland no matter the odds? This could be a fitting ending for the Sole Survivor. In my opinion. TLDR; Minutemen help build up the CPG and with the possible help of the Brotherhood they could rise up and become a power equivalent to the NCR. Minutemen could be tolerant of synths and maybe ghouls because of their positive relationship with the Railroad. [link] [comments]

| Posted: 09 Jan 2018 03:04 PM PST I hope that fallout 5's story is the battle between the NCR and the CPR and that you are able to choose which side you want to fight for. They should also have so that you can make your way up in power and become the leader of one side or the other, but you can also have side quest with mini factions building up inside secretly planning to overthrow the NCR or CPG or also if you want you can choose to be a soldier in the war or just a normal civilian. Got a little carried away but I just hope the events of fallout 4 lead to this and I know that what I want is most likely never going to happen and is probably way to much for Bethesda to pull off but a man can dream. | Is it really reasonable to expect us to wait a ridiculous amount of time for the next fallout? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 02:47 PM PST I mean I know they have other games to work on but why don't they just publish one like they did Vegas and maybe we can get it in like 3 years. What business reason do they have not to do this? [link] [comments] |
[Question] Replaying Fallout Tactics missions? Posted: 09 Jan 2018 11:01 AM PST Hi, I know it's probably weird, but I actually really like Fallout Tactics. I wonder whether there is a way to go back to the missions which I've already completed? I'd like to replay some of them without the need to load previous saves or starting all over again. Just to grind some items and maybe gain a level or two. Any way to do that? Modifying game files, mods, cheat codes? I've searched the net for some time already, but I haven't found anything yet. Is this game really so bad that nobody wants the same thing as me? [link] [comments]
