I loved the Eris Morn post and decided to take a crack at making my own photo/gif. I got an awesome new Xbox Gamerpic out of it!

Legendary guns should also have their own "Collection" where you can re-buy guns you've already found for legendary shards

Posted: 09 Jan 2018 05:25 PM PST

This would fix a number of things:

  1. dismantler's fear where you accidentally dismantle a gun you liked
  2. frees up a ton of vault space because you wouldn't have to keep guns that are unique but low power level. You just keep the stuff highest stuff until the gun you want comes along.
  3. sudden meta changes, a gun that you thought was useless becomes amazing? Nbd.

What does everyone want from Thursday? Please keep salt to a minimum.

Posted: 10 Jan 2018 07:57 AM PST

I get salty just like everyone lately but I'm willing to keep my salt aside because I really want to hear what everyone wants from Thursday's information on what's going to happen in the coming months in Destiny 2.

Here's what I want to hear from Bungie:

1) Eververse: Reworking Eververse so select items such as Ghosts, Sparrows, Ships, Armor, etc. can be earned by completing daily quests whether it's through clearing Lost Sectors, replaying adventures, completing a set number of strikes/crucible matches a day. I think it would bring a lot more enjoyment to the game if the playerbase didn't have to rely on RNG illuminated engrams to get a badass item that we want. Bungie could always set 10-15 specific items from Eververse weekly so we know what we're grinding for while playing specific activities.

2) PVP Overhaul: If there's one thing most of us can agree on is that there's a major problem with Destiny 2's PVP. While most of mainly played Crucible in Destiny 1 I believe that most of us have done a complete 180 and no longer choose to play Crucible over PVE. I believe if Bungie really wants to see Destiny pull there playerbase back in they need to add more game modes, better rewards, and most of all reduce the ttk. I'm fine with Bungie keeping 4v4 as there main casual game mode but I would really like to see Bungie bring back 6v6 as a Big Team Mode. After Mayhem left I think most of us were disappointed. Mayhem aside from the Warlocks was some of the funnest PVP I've played since Destiny 2's release. I want to waste thousands of hours playing Crucible again. My reasoning for reducing ttk is that in the current state it just doesn't feel like Destiny anymore. Unlike Destiny 1 it's very rare to see someone wipe the opposing team by themself. Destiny 1 made us feel powerful and WE had the power to change the tide of a battle in a matter of seconds. Destiny 1 would pull in thousands of viewers every weekend whether it was Trials of Osiris or streamers just having a blast and showing there viewers why Destiny 1 was such a great game.

3) DLC's & Endgame With the upcoming rumored God's of Mars dlc a good portion of the community is asking Bungie to delay the dlc and deliver us a better experience then Curse of Osiris and I don't blame them. CoO had a lot of potential but being that 40-50% of the dlc items were locked behind Eververse and a small campaign length of barely 2-3 hours it caused a lot of uproar. For the future dlcs I would love to see items earnable just like point #1 and would love to see a more flushed out dlc that feels worth my money. There was plenty of room for error in Destiny 1 but being that this is the sequel that was supposed to please the fan base, give us a cinematic experience with rich story telling its feeling lackluster. I would rather wait 6 months for a solid 8-12 hour dlc campaign with tons of loot, new enemy types, awesome cinematics and possible new subclasses I would fork up $30-40 in a heart beat.

4) Miscellaneous Issues Vault space, legendary weapon/armor kiosks, expand the mod system to add more perk customization to our weapon/armor builds, and add more perk customization to masterwork weapons/armor.

If you've read this all the way through please leave a comment, thanks for reading, and cross your fingers for Thursday. Let's hope we hear good news👍

EDIT: If anyone would like to further this conversation feel free to direct message me. Everyone have a great day.

To be honest, I love this game.

Posted: 09 Jan 2018 02:23 PM PST

I'm glad I didn't listen to the thousands of vague, scathing, "this game is bad bungie sucks now" reviews of the game, and decided to judge it for myself. I just completed The Red War, Curse of Osiris, and all the Adventures, minus the Osiris ones. I'm not too into competitive shooters or MMOs, so I can't really say anything about co-op or Crucible, but the "single-player" content of this game is a blast. While I enjoyed the campaign portion of the game, the Adventures really took me by surprise. I was expecting okay, if forgettable side quests, and that's not what I got. Most Adventures are exactly that: adventures you go on that have their own stories, some of them actually kind of engaging. Of course, not all of them blew me out of the water, but for the most part, I was excited to see what the next Adventure was gonna be. The music and visuals are also fantastic, and I love that the main theme, Inner Light, gets some play in a lot of the tracks. Many times during the campaign or Adventures, I found myself with a big stupid grin on my face, and that's a great thing that just doesn't happen with every game. I've honestly had a lot of fun with this game so far, and I'm excited for the Curse of Osiris Adventures and will definitely try some co-op with Strikes and the Raid. My eyes are most certainly up, Guardians.

Small modification to Hard-light to increase it's usefulness

Posted: 09 Jan 2018 11:32 PM PST

With Nightfall mods like Prism or facing different types of enemies throughout the destiny world, wouldn't it be better if hardlights ability to change energy type wasn't tied to the load-out menu?

What if it was set so when the gun is fully loaded, pressing reload would give a small animation change of the character hitting a button, the gun going shhwooon, and the color/damage type changing with it? It'd make the gun more desirable for Nightfall's and bring an overall major QOL upgrade for the gun.

Text chat in Destiny 2 [PC]

Posted: 10 Jan 2018 03:50 AM PST

I noticed that nobody uses the chat function on PC. When I tried to communicate with my strike fireteam I got no response. Am I doing something wrong or it's just the nature of the game? Can you communicate with someone near you like in WoW?

Has anyone else who maintains in-game relationships outside of the greater D2 "community" noticed...

Posted: 09 Jan 2018 11:53 PM PST

...that the people who you actually spend time with, your entire clan, D1 friends, etc., are still loving Destiny 2 and playing daily without a qualm, and then you open a YouTube video from one of the larger YouTubers discussing the poor state of the community and it just kind of throws you for a loop like ".......what?"

I realize that explanation was probably convoluted. But seriously, my clan is still loving D2, we loved The Dawning, and we're having a lot of fun. Would it be nice if the paywall was a bit easier to scale, if you catch my drift? Sure. But there seems to me a major discrepancy between the "COMMUNITY" and...the actual community. You know?

Is it just me or is the drop rate for Ophidian Aspect really skewed?

Posted: 10 Jan 2018 08:34 AM PST

So far the last 7 exotics I have gotten with my Warlock are the Ophidian Aspect. I want it to stop!
