Welcome people of the fog! Here you can report bugs about the game.

Some rules and guidelines specific to this thread;

  • Top-level comments must contain a bug report.
  • No tech support questions; wait for Tech Support Weekend.
  • Specify your platform (PC, PS4, XBOX) in the report and make your report as detailed as possible.
  • Don't spam the thread with reports; try and keep them contained to one comment.

Potential changes and additions to /r/deadbydaylight

Hello people of the fog! We hope you've started well into the new year! 2017 was an exciting year, particularly for /r/deadbydaylight - with the release of Dead by Daylight onto consoles, major changes to the game and several new DLCs, including not one but two major horror IPs, our subreddit has gotten significantly larger. As we've grown and received feedback from your guys, we want to discuss potential changes to /r/deadbydaylight with you.

Salty Post-Game Chats

Recently, we've gotten a high number of complaints surrounding screenshots that show off 'salt' in post-game chats, including but not limited to insults, snide or rude behavior, harassment, etc. They are criticized for being repetitive and adding nothing of value to the subreddit, and dividing the two sides of the game. Because of these complaints, we are considering banning salty post-game chat screenshots from submissions, and redirecting them to Rage Wednesday.

Smile Sunday

We're considering adding a new thread to the weekly rotation; Smile Sunday. Much like how Rage Wednesday IS A PURE SALT THREAD that's a ripoff of /r/nintendo's throwdown thursday, smile sunday would be a thread of positivity and good vibes that's also a ripoff of /r/nintendo's smile sunday! However, the addition of Smile Sunday would result in Friday Bug Report and Tech Support Weekends being merged, and only taking place Fridays and Saturdays.

Thoughtful Thursday Rescheduling

After multiple discussions about this matter, the feedback we received continues to be mixed. For those unaware, we'd like to clarify at this point that it's not debatable if we have a memeless day. The question is when the memeless day will take place. And since Thursday seems so controversial, we'll have an official poll about the preferred day of the week for a memeless day:

Fuel Posts

"Fuel posts" are posts on /r/deadbydaylight that are similar to /r/SCP's fuel posts - a post that is image or video meant to serve as inspiration for a killer, survivor, what have you. While these kinds of posts are technically prohibited under rule 1 of prohibited posts, they are popular on /r/deadbydaylight and oftentimes generate interesting discussion and suggestions. However, we do not want the subreddit to become a slew of random images. Thus, we are considering restricting fuel posts to self-posts, requiring some sort of suggestion or idea of how they would be incorporated into the game.

Why do some people still immediately bash the killer and scream that hes "OP, NERF PLS!" Before its even confirmed to be real and Jigsaw isn't even out. I won't spoil the power to those who wish to keep the power a mystery. Just don't turn Jigsaw into another Freddy. He got nerfed barely a week from released and people are already calling Jigsaw OP. It just annoys me to know people willing to drop 7+ dollars on this chapter to help pay for the license and future DLC and might have their content, myself included, ruined because people are too stubborn to learn how to play against a new killer. Basically what I'm saying is give the killer a chance to those who think he's gonna be OP. Ofcourse your gonna get destroyed the first game or two, you'll have no idea how to play against him.
