So i heard BDO will be launching in SEA tomorrow (read: 10th Jan, 2pm GMT+8)

Question: Is this game worth coming to? I love MMORPG and it does look like I'll be hooked on this game. I want to know how the end game is like?

Also is this game PvE-oriented or PvP? I'm definitely not a PvP player.

What is the best 1v1 class

Before people talk about pve and clearing and node wars, I know this game is not really big on 1v1.

I main a wizard, and with the link system coming eventually, I want to work on a to round out wizard's short comings in single combat.

Other than Mystic and Striker, what are my best options. Preferably the suggestions should be for classes that can fight what wizard can't.

My quick analysis on BDO tick rate

So after reading up on the PUBG abysmal tickrate leading to desyncs and what now, it occurs to me that BDO have the same problem. (Source)

Granted one is an FPS and the other is an MMO, but the way we play BDO is more akin to an action twitch based FPS/TPS, so i figured why not do some packet dump and analyse it. So here are my findings.

PVPing in small groups and Grinding mobs appears to have the same amount of packet received. So at least in small scale pvp/pve, the tick rate is the same.

Looking at it it seems the server having a tick rate of 25-30 TPS. The server is sending a packet every 0.0359s, doing some quick inversion gives us 27.855 Packet per second which sounds about right.

Although my data might have some noise in it, which is due to some of the game uses HTML Webpages to serves content, i still think it represent the overall tick rate quite well.

I really hate companies that outsource its always crap service. im tired of going to node wars and dcing all node fight. im tired of riding a horse 100 ms and loading back where I started. im tired of disconnecting and coming back in town. im just tired of the bull shit servers

So, I'm fully aware that many players prefer to keep their money making secrets to themselves. Makes complete sense to me. I am a casual player since I am in doctorate school and very much enjoy some light grinding every now and then on my DK and have started leveling a Mystic. However, silver issues are holding me back. Sadly, I don't have the time to invest in more grinding/heavily researching silver-making endeavors...after reading empirical research articles all day I can't bring myself to research a video game haha.

I'm not looking for a complete "hand-hold" here but some guidance on what I can do to make a decent income for a casual player would be greatly appreciated. Again, I greatly enjoy this game and have no delusions of becoming a uber-competitive PvPer; but actually being able to fight and stand a chance would be nice (my gear is...well...very poor).

Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Feel free to inbox me if you'd prefer. If no help, I understand. Secrets are secrets and some of you have put in countless hours to discover them. To that I cheers you! Dilly dilly!

New player looking into competitive at SEA server Tmr need some tips

is this guide still good to get start with for new player who looking into competitive pvp ? i think they will not have awakening patch yet and what should i do differently since many guides are now advance from ill be playing

i think i will play sorc need some gear advice for pvp too

i want to be prepared for tomorrow when the server start tomorrow also i have a lot of questions but that i can learn while playing
