The Legend of Zelda. It's a series that's taught me how to be brave and stand up for the ones I love most. The series has taught me so much, thank you Nintendo. Thank you for bringing to life the greatest video game franchise ever.

Went to the Zelda Symphony tonight!

Posted: 29 Dec 2017 11:32 PM PST

It was amazing and highly recommended. Though they mentioned that they were going to take a hiatus in 2018. The music in the game was great, but hearing it live was spectacular!

And I cannot stop playing it! I have to wake up for work in about 4-5 hours and I cannot put the Switch down. Every time I do it's for no more than 5-10 minutes and I'm right back on it exploring the world. Someone help!

Posted: 30 Dec 2017 09:45 AM PST

So i just made it to Lake Hylia and the owl was sitting on the bridge talking about how beautiful it is and then told me he was going to Hyrule Castle, so i was like aight i guess progession is there since he hasnt taken me anywhere i shouldnt, but fucking nope. Now im at the castle and imma have to walk ALL the fucking way back to the fucking lake. I spent majority of this whole game just walking to places, why did he take me here? is there a faster way to get back?

I'm so upset! All that work! All those shrines!! All the progress! Gone!!!

He said they tried restoring it but the entire game glitched.

My heart hurts :(

Custom case art for BotW?

Posted: 30 Dec 2017 09:06 AM PST

Hi, everyone. I bought a Wii U copy of Breath of the Wild from Gamestop, but they didn't have a case. I'm currently turning a DVD case into a makeshift case for the game, but I need some art to work as the cover. It's either that or my girlfriend has a copy of BotW with a "Kindergarten Cop" cover. I just want to print some box art and slip it into the case, but I don't know where to look and what dimensions to print in. Thanks!

What is this track?

Posted: 30 Dec 2017 08:58 AM PST

Right outside the Gee Ha'rah Shrine, in the little cave it resides in, a track I'd never heard before plays. It's kinda spooky and mysterious. Can anyone help me find this track? Maybe a recording of it?

Hello fellow Zelda fans, I compiled a medley of my favorite Zelda forest themes played on bassoons and a contrabassoon. Includes the Deku Tree (WW) and Deku Palace themes.

Imagine a zelda narrative that involves the following

Posted: 30 Dec 2017 04:10 AM PST

Hyrule won a war with distant overseas country that occurred a couple of centuries ago, although the land has experienced the following centuries in relative peace, there exists a cold war between Hyrule and the still surviving distant country. A state of political hostility between the two countries characterized by threats, propaganda, and other measures short of open warfare, in particular.

Just finished BOTW today after about 500 hours :)

Posted: 29 Dec 2017 07:34 PM PST

Ok so this playtime was split in 2 playthrough, first one was played on the Wii U (didn't had a Switch on release day). I ended up getting a Switch some weeks later, but I continued my game on Wii U for a while until I was "done" with it (118 shrines, 500+ Koroks, most quest done, though didn't faced Ganon), all for about 250 hours.

Then I started to play on my Switch (on which I bough the DLC), and just today, after about another 250 hours, I now have beaten Ganon! This time I have done:

  • 120 Shrines (which remind me I have a reward to go collect for that? Last one I did was in Hyrule Castle and didn't went back to see what it was).

  • About 550-600 Koroks (also just got the mask to help find whatever are left to find, will start wearing it here and there). Not really planning to get all 900 though.

  • Finished the Ballad of the Champion DLC (was really fun and a nice challenge!).

  • Upgraded most armour pieces. Still missing some Amiibo-armour though, but don't remember if any of those are upgradable.

  • Did most side-quest, although I didn't do the "horses challenge" like the obstacle race or archery one. The race was/is infuriating with the horse doing whatever, and archery I haven't tried it since my Wii U playthrough.

  • Still have not done the Master Sword Challenge (tried a couple of time, but meh).

I have nothing much to add, the game is awesome and I love playing it! There's always some flaws here and there but for me it's nothing that detract from the experience, only things that can be improved in future game (they did the heavy work, now they can work on the details).

Now I have to see where I slot this game in my top Zelda games, already hard to make a top 3 or 5, gonna be harder to rank them now!

Sorry thre's no real purpose for this thread, I was just happy with my experience of the game and wanted to share!

BOTW is obviously the best zelda of all time.

Absolutely stunned by Zelda breath of the wild. This game is constantly perfect and keeps raising the bar for video games in general. been playing for 50 hours and I still haven't even covered all the maps, I still haven't visited all the villages and stables. This game was made by gods not humans. And it's a no brainer that it deserves to be the best zelda game so far. Yeah no traditional dungeons, but who cares. I don't see how dungeons can fit in this open world formula. who wants to be stuck in a linear dungeon for hours in such an open world.
