We've seen a boon across all fighting games and a number of incredible games released this year. We've seen the birth of entirely new scenes and welcomed a swathe of brand new players to the FGC. But we've also seen communities fade away, players turn against the corporate community, and outside of gaming a pretty fucked up year if you have any shred of empathy. Through all this, I am thankful to be in a position to continue to provide an online community for those who need it. I'm thankful that we have been able to use this platform to give small communities a larger stage. I'm thankful to be able to give up and coming players the highlights they deserve. I love this community. With the replays posted from last night's tournament the r/StreetFighter Youtube channel just passed 1000 videos posted. I feel pretty good about that and hope that the YT channel has served this community well. Hopefully it can continue to serve this community. They both were neglected but Ken is the one who got the most cause all Ken costumes are limited time. The Holiday that he got in 2016 is limited time costume, the CPT he got in 2017 is limited time costume. When January 16th arrive, Ken will still only have Default, Story and Battle cause all this timed costumes will be removed from the story.(The CPT is already gone). Even if each character doesn't get 50 costumes each, I'm ok with the idea of having various artists such as Famous Tony, Legendary Lee, and Recognizable Alfredo coming in and giving us some new designs. I mean, yes, Mena won Capcom Cup, but Tokido did take EVO taking down Punk along the way, and 2nd in Capcom Cup. Even winning the Winner's Finals in Capcom Cup before being taken down by Mena at the Grand Finals. Tokido: Total Events Entered: 12 1st place: EVO, 1 premier event(SEAM) 2nd place: Capcom Cup top 8: 4 premiers, 3 ranking events Mena: Total Events Entered: 11 1st Place: Capcom Cup, 2 ranking events 2nd place: 3 ranking events top 8: 1 premier event(SCR) edit: i guess it was a mistake to exclude punk in this conversation, but in my opinion he'd only be tied with Mena for 2nd best in season 2. Yes, he got 2nd in EVO and took a lot of premiers but with tokido taking 1st and 2nd in EVO and CC respectively and Punk not reaching top 8 at CC, I just had to give tokido the slight advantage. An example would be when Ryu is chaining dashes across the screen it makes me think the game is lagging which distracts me from reacting to him. I was just wondering if anyone had this issue themselves and could give me some tips on getting over it since it's cost me quite a few matches at this point. Thanks.
