Made a silly fighting game themed wrestling PPV styled thing in fire pro wrestling world. Mostly street fighter/capcom characters although there is some other people from other franchises! Made some silly stuff like Abigail vs Iron Tager in an exploding barb wire death match.

DS4 or fight stick for pc player

I'm new to fighting games and just picked up IJ2 and SFV! Having a blast and looking to get into a competitive/local scene. Up until this point I've been using a xbone controller but the local scene is mostly ps4s so I need to get a new controller so I was looking at a new DS4 which are 60$ or I could pick up a fightstick for around that price. What are the pros and cons of each? I've always thought using a fighrstick would be awesome but not sure if it's worth the hassle of learning.

Can't seem to transition from IV to V. Nothing feels right.

Trying to get back into SFV with the AE hype and Im somehow worse now than I was when I first started playing.

I play USF4 a lot and 3rd strike quite often and transitioning between them takes some time but generally I get used to the playstyle and matchups in time.

However in V I feel like I'm playing an entirely different game, and I mean entirely as in out of the series completely. Please do not take this as me bashing it, I want to learn it, but everything feels off.

It seems like the only way I can legitimately play any character is rushing into super close range and then trying to bait out a counter hit or crush counter hit. Any time I try to catch a breath and create space, it seems I'm being punished for doing so as my enemy gets loads of leeway to start pressure.

Speaking of the pressure... yesh, I mean vortexing is bad in 4, but in 5 it always seems like its not my turn once a character gets in and starts to press buttons. Sometimes a move looks unsafe (i.e. the animation has noticeable endlag) but turns out to be safe.

I know I'm still an ultra noob and a lot of this can be chalked up to frame data and my choice of punish, but it just gets frustrating when, if I try to go in, I get stuffed, and if I try to defend I get stuffed, if I try to use light buttons, I get blown up with heavy crush counter buttons, and if I try to fish with crush counter buttons, I get poked away with mediums.

I'm utterly helpless in trying to figure out a gameplay to tackle this game. I generally stick to ryu but that turned out to be an awful idea here, he feels weird, and weak. Please, help!

I don't play SF, but I do drink Redbull. I didn't want to just throw the cans out when I know someone could use the codes..

Edit: there are currently five codes on my person up for grabs now and more in the recycling at home!

Edit 2: One code left until later when im off work!

Edit 3:All the codes I had on me (and by on me I mean in the floor board of my car because I'm messy af) are gone but I'll get more later and be back! Keep the jokes coming! (They don't have to be Street fighter jokes!)

Final edit: got home and rummaged up the codes I could find. I buy Redbull a lot though so if you left a joke here and didn't get a reply or code, fear not! I will be checking back and sending codes to those who didn't get one as soon as I have more. Thanks for all the laughs and allowing me to spread (albeit not much) some joy!

Ken Halloween Costume - Fiery Cyborg Ken (and other Halloween costumes)

Karin MMA outfit. Sports bra and briefs with athletic shoes, fingerless MMA gloves and a boxing helmet. Costume code loses the helmet.

Cammy military fatigues with pants.

Pilot Nash. Helmet and flight mask obstructing his entire face.

Maskless R. Mika Costume that's still related to wrestling and not making her a schoolgirl.

Nostalgia costume for Dhalsim.

New sporty costumes. Basketball Alex and American Football Aibgail.

Swimsuits for Juri, Kolin, Menat, Sakura and Falke. Juri's would be the skimpiest, Kolin's would be the least so.

I used to main Juri in SSFIV:AE a long while back, but I never really got proficient with anyone. I picked Juri back up for SFV, but I hate the changes to her and her new tactics really just throw off my rhythm. So I decided to do my more natural play style of rushdown, and Karin felt most natural, but I don't have extensive use of her. I've read up on her character supplement for Gief's Gym, but I was hoping to have a more general feel of strategy for her before I even think of attempting to fight competitively with her. Does anybody have any useful advice or strategy when fighting with her?
