Titanfall in Skyrim. This is how it was meant to be played.

Winter = Skyrim

Posted: 09 Dec 2017 07:55 PM PST

Anytime I step out and a chill is in the air, I get the urge to bundle up and dive in. Aside from Skyrim's climate, I received my first copy on PS3 one year for Christmas and spent that winter enthralled in the game.

While I dip into Skyrim occasionally throughout the rest of the year, now on PS4, it has become tradition that when it gets cold out it is time to bunker down for some serious play.

An explanation and an apology.

Posted: 10 Dec 2017 01:54 AM PST

So I made a comment on a post about the CC and someone mentioned that Eli was creating a house for CC. So first off to Eli i did not say or call you a sellout if it came across like that i am really sorry it was not how i meant it to sound. Secondly it was meant to be phrased more as a question, I say this as I remember back to when mods were stolen and Steam tried the whole paid for mods thing Eli was amongst some modders who were vocal about it. Thirdly to all the "very friendly" people who dm'ed me to insult me, swear at me and to the 1 fool who actually threatened me thanks guys it was really nice waking up to that crap. So to make it official I did not at any time call Eli a sellout, my wording or grammar may of been incorrect and for this i do apologies to not only Eli but to the modding community.

My vanilla quick start guide for people addicted to making new characters.

Posted: 09 Dec 2017 04:33 PM PST

This is a quick guide for anyone else who is addicted to making new characters and want a strong, quick start. I do this every time.

Step 1: The first time you play, make a save point in Helgen before you customise your character. Loading this will bring you back to character creation every time you want to start a fresh character.

Step 2: Hoof it through Helgen as fast as possible, if you ignore the prompts and implied obstacles then you can make it through before half the NPCs have even loaded.

Step 3: Always go with Ralof, but don't wait for him. Just take the door which is closest when you approach the keep. This will allow you to get heavy imperial armour from the start and loot the more valuable imperial light armor from enemies.

Step 3.1: If you want to get a head start on skills then you can loot the key from the imperial captain and wail on Ralof with sneak, one handed, and destruction for as long as you like.

Step 4: Run through Helgen keep and grab all the imperial light armor and the Mage gear from the locked cell.

Step 5: After you exit the keep, head along the path for sixty seconds and then go off-road to the left. There is a unmarked bandit camp which can net you a treasure map, some iron armor, a hunting bow, a one handed skill book, and some random goodies.

Step 6: Head over the cliff (carefully) and grab your guardian stone of choice and head back up the hill to the mine. Clear the mine and grab all the loot including gems in the side room, and the chest behind the waterfall.

Step 7: Run across the stream before Riverwood to get treasure chest from fallen over tree. In Riverwood keep a set of light armor to give to Faendal and sell everything else you don't want. Do the quick quest to get Faendal as a follower (and train archery if required).

Step 7.1: If you are doing main quest then go to Bleak Falls Barrow now and get the Dragonstone, you can give it to Farengar the first time you meet him as a quest shortcut. If not, then head straight to Whiterun.

Step 8: Run past Whiterun stables to get quest marker (head to Farengar quickly if doing main quest) and head north until you see a bandit camp icon. Kill the bandits and loot the camp for Mammoth tusks, Transmute tome, random goodies, and the hidden chest on the left of the room. There is a pick to get some ore to transmute if wanted.

Step 9: Leave the camp and head west to Silent Moons camp. Kill and loot everyone and everything.

Step 10: keep heading west until you see a tree icon. There is a sabre cat guarding a ton of animal hides and a small amount of treasure. Fast travel back to Whiterun stables, and go sell your pricey mammoth tusks at the general store (and save one for Ysolda).

Step 11: Now do whatever you want. You will have enough ores, hides, and gold to set yourself up with decent armor, weapons, or spells. A follower who gives you free training and arrows, and a map marker for Whiterun.

Does anyone else completely avoid the civil war because they like how the guards look?

Posted: 09 Dec 2017 05:36 PM PST

I really like how every hold has a different color scheme for their guards, and I despise seeing it replaced by a bunch of blue or red idiots.

Silver Blood Inn drinks

Posted: 10 Dec 2017 07:40 AM PST

So I walk in the door and sit at the bar. The barkeep says, "We've got plenty of strong drink." And no sooner did he say this, one of the patrons grunts, "All the drinks here are watered down."
