flag of the Reach if the Forsworn allied with the Imperials

Posted: 21 Dec 2017 01:07 AM PST

Here’s a thing I recently learned can happen in this game.

Posted: 20 Dec 2017 08:28 AM PST

I'm in the Riverwood Trader borrowing Lucan's cooking pot for a minute. Finish up, turn around, and find that I am blocked in by Faendal and Camilla. So I say, very politely, "FUS RO DAH!" and leave while everyone is ragdolled. Bribe a guard and head back to Lakeview Manor to get some construction work done.

While working at the planning bench, I am interrupted by none other than Lucan, who is brandishing a knife. Lucan accuses me of hurting his family (which is true) and demands an apology. Curious to see what would happen, I go ahead and do so. Lucan immediately accepts my apology, sheaths his knife, and walks away saying, "See? That wasn't so hard."

I guess Lucan cares about his sister after all.

I've taken a lot of screenshots, but this is still my favourite.

Vigilant Tyranus disappeared

Posted: 21 Dec 2017 03:52 AM PST

Vigilant Tyranus is nowhere to be found. I ignored him when I first entered Markarth but now when I actually want to do the quest, he's gone. I've just completed the Civil War questline in favor of the Stormcloaks.

I've checked the usual places such as outside the main gate and in the stables but he's effectively gone.

I'm playing on the Switch so I can't utilize console commands.

Curse you Brynjolf!!!

Posted: 21 Dec 2017 07:35 AM PST

Right now I'm playing as a level 40 Wood Elf Imperial Soldier.

I started the game as an Imperial Soldier and I've just been doing all the side quests as if it was my duty to assist citizens while still participating in the war. Right now, Legate Rikke and I are stationed at the Rift Imperial Camp, so I spend most of my time in Riften helping people out there while PURPOSELY avoiding Brynjolf because he's not someone I want to talk to.

I've managed to avoid him for 40 LEVELS!!! But the bastard caught me at the Bee and the Barb and with his "SPECIAL EYES FOR THIS SORT OF THING" (SEFTSOT for short obviously), HE FIGURED THAT I, IN FULL IMPERIAL SOLDIER GEAR, HELPING OUT EVERY CITIZEN IN SKYRIM WHENEVER I CAN, WAS UP TO NO GOOD.

He started makin' trouble in my neighborhood

Anyways I'm done venting. thx 4 reading

First time player - can I "mess up"?

Posted: 20 Dec 2017 04:52 PM PST

Hi all!

Thinking about taking the plunge and getting the game, as I've been reading about it for far too long.

I was told by a few friends not to use a guide and just go with the flow and I'm perfectly fine with that, I just want to avoid spending 20 hours on a blind run and finding that progressing is nigh-impossible (don't get me wrong, I love a good grind, but there's a line between progression and pain/annoyance).

Should I follow any general rules of thumb to have a good time?

Thanks!

UPDATE: accidentally shouted at the shopkeep in Riverwood, the whole town is after me. I nervous-ran to Whiterun and think I accidentally killed one of the main women from Riverwood. Now in Barrows Den and loving it.

Skyrim SE sudden fps drop

Posted: 21 Dec 2017 04:29 AM PST

I have 180 hours SE and all of them were much enjoyed but today when i started playing i noticed a disgusting 4 to 30 fps drop out of nowhere. Even the menu with the cursor and world map are laggy as hell. I cant get more than 40 for no reason. Before i always had 60 to 70.
