- Plek and his pet husky (Polo) got attacked by a wild cougar, sadly Polo didn't make it. In the night, Plek got up and went outside. He came back with a dead squirrel and placed it where Polo used to sleep. I just can't...

Posted: 23 Dec 2017 05:44 PM PST I got a caravan request for 240 shivs in exchange for 7000 silver. Upon finishing the shivs (for which I had to mine out a whole cave to store), I tried forming a caravan of 3 people. Unfortunately it takes pawns forever to pack up the caravan. What's worse, the pack animal is on the other side of the base, so now they have to travel 30 in game minutes just to pack up one shiv. They keep getting exhausted, and then have mental breaks. Is there a mod or any way to fix this? [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Dec 2017 06:52 PM PST Whenever all my colonists die or they are all downed I just put all my animals to unrestricted then see Which one survives the longest as a sort of tribute to the colony. I was wondering if anyone else does this [link] [comments]

How much fighting/combat is in the game, and how important is it? Posted: 23 Dec 2017 04:54 PM PST I am currently looking at buying Rimworld as a Christmas present for my partner, but am just wondering how big a role combat/fighting/'war' plays in the game. She currently plays games like Terraria/Stardew Valley/Minecraft and does not really enjoy the combat side of each when compared to the sandbox-openworld feel. So how important is combat/fighting and are there modes or settings to change its impact in game? [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Dec 2017 02:34 PM PST I just found this: https://imgur.com/a/KxHVY And I'm wondering what should I do? [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Dec 2017 04:40 PM PST Is there a mod that lets you chose exactly what materials and what not you start with and lets you choose when a raid happens and how many people raid? Basically a mod that turns it into an instant castle defense game? I'm enjoying it as it, but it might be fun to have a "straight to the action" kind of mod too. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Dec 2017 05:08 AM PST I was getting ready to leave my first settlement behind and had already sent most of my people ahead to the frontier colony aptly named "The Donner party" because I had trouble setting it up and everyone was starving when they got there. Two of my colonists unfortunately died due to getting the plague during their caravan trip to the frontier. I had two outposts to manage plus some micro management issues at the original home base with my colonists eating unforbidden packaged survival meals I was saving for the trip north. One of my outposts had toxic fallout. So I was jumping around making sure no one is out and about during the toxic fallout, no one is eating survival meals and making sure they have food at the frontier colony. All of a sudden I got the raid warning, my original home base was being attacked. These extraordinary dumb asses of a raider party drop podded through my roof in the only wooden section of the base, started a fire, started hitting steel doors in panic and they all burned to death as my last four colonists drop podded away to another outpost. This is the result: https://i.redd.it/8pr6u3onbo501.png I love this game so much sometimes. [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Dec 2017 03:48 PM PST Because quite often they will choose to park their fat asses right in my freezer, walking in and out, and needless to say this completely ruins the temperature inside the freezer because the doors are always opening and closing.
