Thought it's be a nice way to make the game more fun to play without needing new game changing content.

How many of ya would change to the OG Route 1 theme when hunting in the day, and set it so at night it plays the Cave theme? They can even do it for every new Generation.

I figure maybe when you catch 10 different Pokemon from a region, it unlocks the starting route music, and every 5 additional new Pokemon (up to 50), you get more music from that Generation that you can change to. You can mix and match too, so you can say have the Gen 1 Route theme play in the day, and the Gen 3 Cave theme play at night. Also, who wouldn't want to play the Goldenrod theme or any of the Battle themes?

I went back home to a more rural area for the holidays and put a Vaporeon in a gym and it's still in there 5 Days Later.

It's so frustrating after 5 days I know I will only get 50 coins, it doesn't make much sense to me.

[Discussion] Why is Lotad line so freakishly rare?

It seems Lotad is the most rare line in this wave of mons (only Feebas may compete with it, but I've seen more Feebas), plus you need the most candy for it to evolve it into final stage. However unlike Milotic, the Ludicolo isn't great, it's not even good, it has good typing, weak only to flying, poison and bug, there's only few meta counters for it (Lugia with flying attacks)), however sitting at 2226 max CP, it doesn't really matter, as it's going to be sweeped with anything.

Why is this pokemon so rare?

No Ex-Raid invitations anymore?

Since over at /r/thesilphroad this topic seems to be forbidden (I really have no explanation for this), I'll open a thread for discussion here.

As of today, for the second week in a row now, there haven't been given any invites to Ex-raids. The last invite was given 14 days ago for the 25th of December.

To me this is odd for several reasons. For once, right now between the years, is the one time where many people universally have time to play the game and earn an invite. I personally know a lot of people who raided extremely much just because they could. The exception of course being christmas. Which is the last time Ex-Raids occured. Right now seems like the worst timing of all possible timings.

Also, you'd assume if they stopped giving invites they'd say something, right? Because naturally a lot of people will be trying to get one. And it would be quiet the dick move to just stop without letting people know.

So what's the explanation here? Christmas break or something? I mean the guys over at Niantic most likely are enjoying a deserved christmas break, but algorithms don't need vacations. The game is running just fine, so why doesn't the invite system? Did Santa Claus take a massive dump on the Niantic invite-distribution-server causing a malfunction? Who knows.

I'm at a loss here.

And it also happened to have perfect IVs! I'm not sure what the chances of this happening, but I couldn't believe it when I popped on my screen. I've been trying to catch a shiny Snorunt since it was first announced but I never thought it would also be a perfect one.

Anyone have any ideas what I should name it?

[Complaint] More of the same non existent Customer "Support" from Niantic

So, after months of receiving no help with my account, I decided to try the "Help with PokéCoins and premium items" prompt on their customer support page, seeing as I still had a good chunk of change on my banned account. Unfortunately, that led to the same responses that I have gotten previously, which basically amounted to:

Niantic:Your behavior is offensive.

Me: What exactly am I doing wrong?

Niantic: If you're not doing anything wrong, don't worry about the people reporting you for offensive behavior and ignore them.

Me: Okay.

...Some time later

Niantic: We're putting a hold on your account because other people find your behavior offensive.

Me: What exactly did I do wrong? You told me if I was doing nothing wrong, then I shouldn't worry about it and now you suspend my account.

Niantic: Respond that you understand the terms of service and trainer guidelines and we will return your account in a few days.

Me: I understand the terms of service and trainer guidelines.

Some time later....

Me: I guess I have to stop interacting with people entirely to avoid having my account permanently deleted. (Stops interacting with people and starts playing by himself.)

Niantic: You've been reported for "Real Harassment" so we've suspended your account. Please reply that you understand the terms of service and trainer guidelines and your account will be returned to you in a few days.

Me: I haven't even spoken to another PokemonGO player since you returned my account the last time. What evidence could you possibly have of me harassing someone in REAL LIFE? Do you know what I look like and have photo evidence of me interacting negatively with someone?

Niantic: Respond that you understand the terms of service and trainer guidelines or we will terminate your account.

Me: I understand the terms of service and trainer guidelines.

.....A few days after having my account returned during which I basically only logged in to get my 1 day catch/pokestop spin bonuses...

Niantic: Your account has been terminated for violations of the PokemonGo terms of service and trainer guidelines. Other players find your behavior offensive.

With this kind of stellar customer service, my only recourse seems to be to try to get all my money back through my bank, as a few people have suggested on my other thread.
