[Idea] “Home” Pokestop

Posted: 27 Dec 2017 02:41 PM PST

I'm sure this sub is sick of ideas and suggestions but I was thinking about the problem of limited pokestops in suburbs and rural areas. If I'm not mistaken the limitation of pokestops is that they can't be on private property/schools and the like.

A possible way to help out players in these areas is to maybe let players set a Pokestop that only they can see on their home. To keep it balanced maybe limit visits to once per day/x-hours. And to balance the limited visits maybe have it pay out slightly better than a normal Pokestop.

[Discussion] Anyone with social anxiety problems?

Posted: 27 Dec 2017 10:06 AM PST

Hi guys. I wanted to ask you and also know about this topic. I am 24 years old and I am a gamer since I was very young. I played pokemon go when it came out and the streets were full of people playing it. Now, after all the hype, the streets are no longer populated with people playing and I feel a little uncomfortable. I work in the center of my city and when a person passes by my side I hide the cell phone, or I display the notification bar so they do not see that I am playing pokemon go, for fear or discomfort, AND I KNOW IT SHOULD NOT BE THAT way.

So, I come here to tell you, and at the same time to read them to you. If anyone suffered or suffered something like this I would like to read it.

Sorry for the long post.

Greetings from Argentina.

Gen 3 rarity [discussion]

Posted: 27 Dec 2017 06:18 AM PST

So I've played ALOT since gen three came out and noticed a couple of things: 1. Rarities have changed as more pokemon have been added. 2. Nests have changed frequently (unsure weather this is whether. wait...)

So this begs the question, "What do we use pinaps and candies on?" I'm sure I'm not the first person to notice this BUT imagine dropping loads of candies on meditite when gen three was first released just to have them mass spawn after the "water" update. Anyhu, here's a list of rare pokemon I've noticed in my travels to different biomes and cities: Walimer - Hating this already, 400 candies and most catches have been by the sea not just canals and/or rivers. Carvanah - Didn't even know this was in the game until I went to coast, and the only other person I know IRL with one got it from an egg. Feebas - More common near the sea, not so much by canals. Is it rare or do we just expect it be rare because of... (flashbacks to fishing)... kill me. Slakoath- Think this got more common (or at least stumbled into a nest) Lotad - Only seen by the sea not by canals. Thought it was to do with rain as I saw LOADS then on the coast) but nope, there when it was windy too. Luvdisc - Seen one, ocean biome as well. Corphish - The only gen three I havent seen. Got all the final starters and nearly a gard but not crab

Honorable mention: Barboach, while not rare, I feel it's less common since there are ALOT of water pokemon now to fight for spawns.

Agree, disagree, want to fight me? Comment welcome.

[Question] Should I be worried about being ban for something I can't/don't know how to fix?

Posted: 27 Dec 2017 07:44 PM PST

So i work pretty far from where i live, taking the train to work... sometime during my break i would log in to see if anything interesting is nearby... only, almost, every time i log in, the game register me either at my home or the train station close to my home and not at work...

the only decent fix i could do was to force stop the game then turn off and on my GPS and restart the game and that would bring my account to my work area... but even then it's still wonky, like i can "spin" a pokestop but get no items...

then the other day i got worried because 5 pokemon ran away after my first throw... i thought i got soft ban or something along those line but was able to catch something a few minutes later...

now i'm a bit concerned that my "fix" might make my account look like it's spoofing and jumping around from my house/train station and to my work area...

should i be worried about being ban this way? or does anyone know simple fix to this problem?

Any helpful response would be appreciated. Thanks!
