Hope you've all had a great week! <3 With every preseason comes major roster shifts - we've seen all sorts of wild moves these past few weeks! Doublelift to TL, MikeYeung to TSM, Biofrost to CLG - things are definitely looking to be way different this summer split (at least in NA)! What team is looking strongest to you so far? Make your case here! Speaking of preseason, things are starting to calm down a bit as people figure out the new Runes Reforged system. I'm lowkey in love with Grasp's HP stacking mechanic - my record so far is 600HP! What have y'all been having fun with? Anywho, that's it for this week from me! Celerity does not give as much AD as the Tooltip states Posted: 01 Dec 2017 06:00 AM PST Celerity's description says "Gain 4% increased Movement Speed and add 8% of your Bonus Movement Speed to your AP or AD, adaptive." And the Runes Stats tab in game calculates 8% of your Bonus Movement Speed for AP and AD. Don't let the Number in the Runes Stats tab fool you, Celerity only gives 4.8% of your Bonus Movement Speed as AD. Proof that the Runes Stats tab gives misleading info: Celerity on a Garen with Swifties If Celerity gave 8% of Bonus Movement Speed as AD the 71 Bonus Movement Speed in the Picture would give: (71/100)*8 = 5.68 AD which the Rune Stats tab shows as 6 AD. Instead Celerity gives (71/100)*4.8 = 3.408 AD resulting in 3 AD gained as seen in the stats tab for AD. TLDR: The Tooltip for Celerity on AD champions is wrong and will show you a higher amount of AD than you actually get. submitted by /u/Godalor [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Dec 2017 02:04 PM PST Svenskeren: Sneaky invited me to go to the gym with him the day I moved in but all he did was watch me lift and drool so that was kind of weird. I also caught Jensen typing his computer password in once. It was just "3R3R3R". Not really sure what it means but it seems kind of weak. Maybe he wanted his password to be something super easy to type with no chance of getting it wrong. I still don't know my top laner's name. Doublelift: Yeah the coaches only know how to speak Korean. Steve said something about how he "wants to catch 'em all" so he can't afford to hire new staff. It's cool though, the coaches can speak some English and it's pretty easy to understand things like "Caitlyn", "Vayne", and "we are entirely dependent on you to carry because our team identity has been built around that idea for years and we're Team Liquid so we have to find some way for this roster to fail". Stop acting like Varus' old lore was some godsend among stories Posted: 30 Nov 2017 09:18 PM PST "Your story is revenge with guns and ghosts. How droll." -Jhin to Lucian Varus' old lore wasn't exceptional by any means, and definitely wasn't one of league's better stories. It used storytelling's tried and true format - revenge for honour. Varus wasn't some sort of elaborate hero with hard to understand motives and emotional backstory. He was just a soldier seeking vengeance against those who killed his people. This certainly isn't the first time a story about soldiers and revenge has been told, and it won't be the last either. So many league characters' stories revolve around getting revenge after someone they cared about has died. Off the topic of my head: Lucian, Vayne, Miss Fortune, Gangplank (if you count him dying and coming back), Shen, Ekko, and Alistar just to name a few. If you expand to people who have had someone close to them die, the list expands dramatically to include people like: Ashe, Ornn, Quinn and other whose stories are about hardship through death. To get to the point, Varus' new lore is a definite upgrade. It's no longer a nameless family being killed and a soldier seeking revenge. It's now the story of two named lovers, and their trade with a demon for life. The vengeance part is kept by the Darkin, the love part is kept by the lovers. Will Varus' abilities get name-updates to fall in line with his new lore? Posted: 01 Dec 2017 08:15 AM PST Aside from Varus only KINDA looking like a Darkin (I guess? Love the new lore but no redesign? Darkin look a very specific way as far as can be understood with Aatrox and Rhaast. Varus should also be named "Vaarus" but I'm nearing nitpick territory so I'll stop), his abilities are still in line with the VENGEANCE theme from his original lore which isn't totally a problem however LIVING VENGEANCE and the aspects blight of don't quite connect with the character anymore. P - LIVING VENGEANCE (probably needs a change as it directly refers to old lore) Q - PIERCING ARROW (totally fine) W - BLIGHTED QUIVER (blight has no presence in his lore also Rhaast and Aatrox are very sustain focused, is this a theme for melee Darkin or Darkin overall?) E - HAIL OF ARROWS (totally fine) R - Chain of Corruption (Darkin only corrupt their hosts so this one especially doesn't quite make any sense.
