Hearthstone - Daily Quest Bug Megathread

Daily Quest Bug Megathread

Posted: 17 Dec 2017 02:43 PM PST

I've had a few requests in previous threads regarding this topic and via modmail for a megathread to be made for this current daily quest bug situation so I've went ahead and done so and stickied this thread in order to centralise discussion and to stop people reposting the same topic over and over again. We will be removing all further posts on the matter, so post here if you are experiencing problems or want to discuss about the situation!

A possible fix is to keep restarting your game and battle.net client until a daily quest pops up but this has only worked for a few people as seen by posts on the subreddit and by some of our Discord users.

Araxom, one of Blizzard's Customer Support reps has commented on the situation here, linking this thread on the official Hearthstone forums for a potential fix and possibly for updates on the situation also.

Ben Brode comments on the situation in this Reddit thread.

I will be editing this thread with any updates about this topic and/or if the bug is fixed.

EDIT: Blizzard have made an official statement about the bug, and they are looking into fixing it ASAP. All players will be getting 3 KnC packs in January as stated here.
The link also offers other potential temporary fixes if you still aren't getting quests in the meantime.

Seriously, why there isn't any sales for HS ever?

Posted: 21 Dec 2017 08:53 PM PST

This frustrates me a lot, seeing almost every other game by Blizzard benefits from holiday sales, but almost NEVER for HS?

Why? Is it because they are already making so much money from HS anyway, that they have decided they'd just not care about the player base?

How come no one uses weapon destroyers?

Posted: 22 Dec 2017 04:55 AM PST

Hi guys When the new expansion was announced and launched, because it's so weapon-focused, I was sure that minions which destroy weapons etc would be very popular, but apparently they're not.

How come? There are so many weapons around, wouldn't it be valuable to run those kind of cards?

Scroll of Wonder and Shifting Scroll Interaction

Posted: 22 Dec 2017 08:34 AM PST

The interaction between these two spells was not intuitive for me, so I thought I'd share my experience.

My opponent in an arena match cast Deck of Wonders. A couple turns later they drew one of the Scroll of Wonders, and the random spell it "cast" was Shifting Scroll. However, since Shifting Scroll is not castable in its base form, the spell was just added to their hand.

I feel like the missing cost of Shifting Scroll leads to some misleading interactions. You can play Shifter Zerus for a 1/1 for 1, but the fact that SS has no cost means it can't be cast at all, yet still counts as 0 from other effects such as Dragon's Fury.

I'm curious to hear others' thoughts on this. Should Shifting Scroll be a 0-mana castable spell that does nothing in its unshifted form?

Blizzard, your promos are great, please consider running them more often

It is sad from the viewpoint of the community that even though the game has exploded in popularity, we do not get enough promotions when compared to other IPs. Hearthstone should not receive the short end of the stick, as promos help both the playerbase to build their collections, and Blizzard can itself benefit from them. Also, it will help increase the playerbase of the game IMO. It's a win-win for both players and you. From past posts it is evident that promos excite players a lot. So Blizzard, please.
