Need community help with the ring collection! Posted: 12 Dec 2017 02:41 PM PST Hey, Last week there was a thread about the legendary ring collection. I made a pastebin with all the locations for it(see here), sadly I still do not know where the last one is. I thought it was bugged or not finished untill today according to an anonymous source, ANet Faerla said "This item isn't bugged and I cannot tell you how to get it as this would be a spoiler". (Don't know if it this is actually true, but let's assume so, please confirm /u/ANET_Faerla if it is true!) I would like to ask the community to start hunting for this item! I have tried Dhuum's throne, The Secluded Glen in Fields of Ruin, Library of Kormir, Shaemoor village(my character is human, so tried in the house where you spawn after completing the first instance), on top of the telescope at the Astralarium in Domain of Istan. I really have no clue anymore, it's time to find this but I sadly can't do it alone, the hint is not so obvious to me, maybe one of you would know where it could be. Two new ascended stat combos added to the game Posted: 12 Dec 2017 10:46 AM PST Looks like Giver's Gear is finally going ascended. The Charity Corps Seraph has recipes for 2 new ascended stat Combos: Tixx's Giver's (TOughness/Healing/concentration) Giftbringer's (Expertise/Vit/Prec) The vendor also offers the recipes for the exotic inscriptions/insignias that you need for the ascended ones but it seems the old exotic givers recipes you can buy for 1s from the TP also unlock those. What the hell is the intention behind the steady focus rework Posted: 12 Dec 2017 11:53 AM PST Steady Focus: This trait has been renamed Farsighted, and its functionality has been changed. It now causes projectiles fired by ranger weapon skills to deal 5% bonus damage. This bonus is increased to 10% on foes beyond a range of 600. So anet is buffing sword and greatsword this patch with (probably) the intention to buff power ranger/druid but at the same time they rework Steady Focus which puts Power Druid in a worse spot than pre patch. It literally does around 2k less damage now. So what did this change achieve? If its for Longbow Rangers staying at max range and shooting at stuff at WvW, the old trait would achieve the same. If its for pvp, the old trait wouldnt matter anyway, since you dodge all the time in PvP. for PvE, Power Ranger was in a terrible spot already. Power Druid is also worse than Condi Druid on every encounter. This whole balance patch around ranger makes no sense. If it was targeted at competitive PvP, then why not just increase/lower damage numbers in those game modes. submitted by /u/2girls1up [link] [comments]
