I knew the AI had advantages at higher difficulty levels, but didn't know it was this much of an advantage when starting a game at Deity difficulty

Civilization VI Logo Font (possible match)

Posted: 12 Dec 2017 09:22 AM PST

For anyone looking for the font in used the CIV VI logo. Whatthefont suggests "ITC Elan Book" as a close match: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/itc/elan/

Penumbra Half Serif has also many of the same characteristics.

Not at war with Sumeria but he has been attacking all game...(R5 in comments for more explanation)

How can I whittle down a civ without directly attacking the cities?

Posted: 12 Dec 2017 04:53 PM PST

In Civ 5 and BERT - I'm interested in different ways to harm an enemy civ without actually steam rolling them with my units. The only things I'm coming up with are the following:

  • Steal their workers

  • Pillage their improvements

  • Send in spies and covert ops

  • Make other Civs declare war on your enemy... Not sure how to do this yet.

Am I missing any?

[Civ VI] UI with more than 22 civs

Posted: 12 Dec 2017 10:18 AM PST

So I'm playing a game with 28 civs (27 default + Ethiopia), and also (among other mods) CQUI. I've got to the point where I've discovered most civs, however I've noticed that the panel showing leaders across the top of the screen only shows 22 civs max, which is kind of annoying as it means I have to go to a city on the map or through diplomacy with another civ to access some leaders.

It looks like there's an arrow on the left hand side to scroll further, but pressing it does nothing so I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any idea if I can see all the leaders, or is it just a result of mods?

How to overcome a steam rolling AI?

Posted: 12 Dec 2017 03:43 PM PST

So im about 160 turns in(standard) and there is an AI that seems to be rolling civ after civ, as a result, he's pushing ahead on Science and Culture which makes our end game battle look rather one sided at the moment.

Any tips to success in defeating him? I was going for Domination / Science victory But he seems to be well advantaged at this stage

How do I stop being a "casual" Civ player?

Posted: 12 Dec 2017 08:55 AM PST

So I've been playing Civ for years. Not too long, but I got Civ 5 when it came out and I played several hundred hours, and I got Civ 6 when it came out and I have about 50 hours logged (lots of schoolwork has gotten in the way).

I'm what most people would call a very casual Civ player. I rarely go about Prince difficulty, I tend to play the same game modes over and over (continents with 8 players) and I rarely branch out to new Civs beyond the few that I tend to enjoy.

There is obviously so much depth to this game and I really want to be knowledgeable enough to actually care about all of the bonuses, differences between civs, playstyles, etc. The problem is that it's all so overwhelming for me.

So my question is, is there a resource or an easy way to think about the game that could help me become a better Civ player, short of having to memorize every Civ's bonuses and every variable in the game? What should I look out for? What are some playstyles that work well? What are some Civs I should try playing as?

Thanks for your help

[Civ V] Is there a mod which would keep some civs stuck in the Ancient Era, while letting others keep moving forward?

Posted: 12 Dec 2017 01:57 AM PST

I want to play as the Aztecs against the European civs and see how I do...
