The devs brought an event store that relies on time played instead of wallets opened.

Now an additional note for the devs: be more inclusive with the event store!

You've laid the groundwork for eternal Fortnite happiness...

But we still need:

  • The ability to upgrade weapon rarity (whilst retaining perks and adding subsequent perks per rarity upgrade)

  • An individual perk reroll system (that uses seasonal gold?). I can't tell you how many potentially awesome legendaries I'm sitting on that I can't use because of the absolute garbage rolls.

An additional note: I've played Fortnite since day 1 of the closed beta, and it's been an interesting time seeing Fortnite evolve and change for the better.

You're doing great devs, keep moving in the right direction.

PSA: Killing a Mini-Boss by wall launchering them into an inescapable pit does not qualify as a kill per the quest.

Had a trap-vulnerable smasher who got launched into the pit, disappeared like all husks do. Then, nothing.

Please Make Defenders Viable

When I first started this game, I wouldn't get too upset when matchmaking hosed me or players would farm/AFK for a whole match. I maintained my defenders, chose ones that utilized ammo I didn't, leveled and crafted guns for them specifically, built my base to give them a good firing/chopping platform, and went to town.

Now that I'm in Canny and at PL63, defenders have become pointless. Even legendary defenders with all perks unlocked, leveled weapons, and a position of advantage are constantly dying. The culprits? Lingering AOE damage, leaping minions, laser eyes, a falling leaf from a tree.

The irony is that now more than ever, defenders have become mission essential. Those pesky problems from before: AFK players, poor matchmaking, noncontributing farmers, well, those will cause you to fail the mission. Yet, the one thing that could be a major boon spends the entire encounter yelling for you to revive them.

As defenders share hero xp with our primaries and are prominently listed next to our heroes in the menu, I can't believe this was the intention. There was no way these tools were implemented with the idea that few would use them in the later levels due to them being ineffectual.

If these characters had some autonomous abilities (self healing, stunning enemies, applying status effects, grenades, etc), had improved health and/or shields, could survive a reasonable amount of damage, they might be something people start using again.

Ultimately, the idea of the defender is brilliant. The application of them works (as we've seen in the early game). However, the lack of scaling and abilities makes them obsolete in the later portions of the game. Please consider buffing this game mechanic.

How do I deal with players who go afk during Surive the Storm?

I'm in a match now where we're four players, three of us building and fighting, the other one afking on the outskirts of the map.

How do I deal with this?

I wish epic would introduce votekick, or dynamically scale events down so one player can do it solo.

So the new Christmas trees that they put in sometimes have presents under them. Most of the time, you'll get ammo or nuts & bolts, but sometimes when you open them it's a super present. These super presents gives an assortment of stuff to everyone in the game, but the important bit is that it can give everyone an active power cell.

Even if you have a thousand of these, does everyone else in that game have that many? Be like Good Guy Greg, open those presents.

SUGGESTION: Use Flux to swap between Obsidian/Shadowshard and Brightcore/Sunbeam

Ok, I know this is gonna grab every late game player in the feels.

You get that perfect schematic, you level it, you grind out the evolution materials. Finally that moment of triumph comes as you go to level to 4star, and in your excited haste, you forget to click shadowshard. You still love your weapon... just... a little less now.

We get it, it's our own stupid fault, but hey, player base happiness is a big deal, especially Vets, who have stuck it out, and pushed hard to get to Twine.

Flux introduces a beautiful method of providing currency to upgrade your heroes, as well as, dare I say pay for Weapon Perk Control (They never said reroll), and Evolution Option rerolls.

My idea is easy. It shouldn't cost a ton to respec a schematic, but I guarantee that after having to farm a couple of missions just to fix a mistake, players wont be so likely to click hastily either. So I'm proposing the following.

  • 10 flux of the appropriate rarity to swap between Obsidian/Shadowshard
  • 15/20 flux of the appropriate rarity to swap between Brightcore/Sunbeam, hey there needs to be a little bit higher of a cost associated with a stronger weapon.

Suggestion: Let us upgrade rarity on survivors too

It'd really give us more freedom to spend our evolution mats on rare and epic survivors that we have now, if we weren't worried they were all going to go to waste when we find a legendary later.

Is Lok's Book of Monster (shielders) bugged or not?

I've got the quest and I know 100% I've killed LOTS of those flying purple shield monsters but not got a single shielder fragment, I've tried google and some say it's bugged others say no....so am I just doing something wrong? Or is it in fact bugged?

Upgrade Bug/Glitch? HELP

Upgraded an epic ranger deadeye to a legendary. Have a ranger beetlejess. Compared the two and the stats don't match. Upgrading an epic doesn't make it a true legendary?

PSA: Upgrading Sarah Claus/Vanguard Southie is cheaper than buying from the Event Store

This PSA is strictly for people that have gotten one of the buy-able event heroes in an event llama.

Sarah Claus - 3,200 Gold

Vanguard Southie - 2,800 Gold

Now, it takes 100 flux to upgrade the rarity to the next. Meaning you may need 300 in total (Uncommon to Rare, Rare to Epic, Epic to Legendary).

100 Legendary Flux = 1,500 Gold

100 Epic Flux = 750 Gold

100 Rare Flux = 300 Gold

Total Cost: 2,550 Gold

This means you save 250 gold (or 10 armory slots!) instead of buying Vanguard Southie, and 650 gold (or 23 armory slots!) instead of buying Sarah Claus.
