Mages Guild Monday - Share Your ESO Knowledge, Ask Questions, Get Info If You're New!

Posted: 11 Dec 2017 01:00 AM PST

Hey folks,

Welcome to Mages Guild Monday, a community-building, regularly occurring thread on the subreddit!

Mages Guild Monday is a thread aimed at sharing tips, tricks, knowledge and information about the game.

Know of a place that yields a particularly good reward? Got a tip about how to most efficiently accomplish quests? Have some good intel on good ways to serve your alliance in PvP? Let the community know!

In addition, if you're new to following the game, this thread is your chance to ask questions and get help from veteran players.

Please keep in mind the 'no personal attacks' rule in our sidebar, disagree respectfully with others, and know that a repeated or seemingly obvious bit of knowledge may not be obvious to everyone.

We look forward to your contributions!

ESO Raidplanner Project - Open Beta

Posted: 10 Dec 2017 08:42 AM PST

Hello all,

Today I would like to introduce you to a project I have been working on for the past few months. I have generally heard a lot of complaints about the shortcomings of raidplanners from sites like guildlaunch and shivtr, and this is why I decided to make a project specifically dedicated to ESO.

Today it reached a point where I am comfortable releasing it to the public, though it is still in a beta state. You can find the project on https://esoraidplanner.com

Of course, using it is totally free. No strings attached, as any of my other projects.

So what can this thing do?

  • Create guilds and events
  • Allow people to sign up for events with class, role and the sets they are wearing
  • Discord, Slack and Telegram integrated notification services
  • Manage your raids by confirming group setups and setting people as backup
  • Includes all sets in the game, meaning you always know which person is wearing which buff sets
  • You can be a member of multiple guilds, making sure you have your entire ESO agenda in one place
  • Create personal character presets to sign up faster
  • Fully functional bot in Telegram that will allow you to sign up and off on the go, without having to go to the website
  • Many more features to personalize your guild are planned!

I hope you guys enjoy it. If you have questions, bug reports or feature requests be sure to join the discord here https://discord.gg/f4tSV5T

To the Sorc who cleared that anchor in northern Stone falls..

Thank you! I'm only a level 16 Stamblade and was barely hanging on. Had already soul rezzed twice. Was spamming the hell out of my life steal (don't know the name) and then you showed up and saved the day.

I'm relatively new to eso on Xbox and that really made my day. Plus the gear dropped was some sweet sweet blues!

Stamina or magicka nightblade?

Posted: 11 Dec 2017 01:52 AM PST

So I fully leveld a magicka nightblade and played with it quite a bit, while I love the sustain I just can't stand staffs. So should I buy a a race change token? And try stamina?

In your experience, which Alliance has the least number of players?

Posted: 10 Dec 2017 11:14 PM PST

What causes my FPS to steadily drop the longer my game is open? Until it's unplayable.

Posted: 10 Dec 2017 02:36 PM PST

So I was in a raid getting 19 fps until it dropped to 15 and was pretty annoying to play. I restarted after a wipe and was getting 54 fps the same fight with the same exact encounters.

What gives?

[PC] Issue with single choice quests...

Posted: 10 Dec 2017 01:29 PM PST

So... I recognize that many quests just need to have one choice or direction they head. However I also have had a number of issues with single choice quests that have obviously two or sometimes three choices that the storyline suggests. For example, I just completed the side quest "Land Dispute" in Eastmarch. The story sends me to kill a Matron Spriggen who is fighting against a greedy logger who moved in on her part of the woods. I was initially thinking "oh, I'll just make him move" but nope... just kill her and move on. I found it rather... underwhelming and disappointing I didn't have more options to play with in terms of character development. I've run into a number of quests like this and, while the game is huge yes, I would like to see more side or smaller quest chains have more than one choice option when the story supports it. Thoughts?

What I learned from playing weeks in Cyrodiil PvP

Posted: 10 Dec 2017 07:42 PM PST

To hate all the opposing alliances with deepest hatred

To mercilessly slaughter Level 10 enemy players when possible

To support, heal and revive all allies even if they are *ssholes

To insult and kill all enemies even if they are kind

I love the community at Cyrodiil

It touches my heart

yours truly

Interior designers of Tamriel needed

Posted: 10 Dec 2017 04:14 PM PST

Hey, Reddit!

I just bought Pariah's Pinnacle and I love the place! I purchased the furnished version, so I have started off with a bit of furniture, but I don't want to keep it the same, basic way. I'd like make the place seem a little more "mine."

I was hoping that some of my fellow redditers could share some pictures or something of what you guys have done with your houses, just for some inspiration.

I'd love some kitchen ideas, bedroom ideas and also outdoor area ideas the most!

TIA!

PS4 UI traceback error msg

Posted: 11 Dec 2017 03:27 AM PST

Had a traceback debug msg pop up ingame on my PS4 yesterday. From memory I was doing something with inventory in Cyrodiil. . Never seen one before in ESO or any other game. The game ran fine after I clicked OK and moved on.

Anyone seen one of these on a console before?
