PSA: Dying Light & Adrenaline Hack Going Around

Myself and a few others have noticed some form of hack recently regarding the Perks Dying Light and Adrenaline in which it forces Adrenaline to be triggered at the start of the match, rendering it useless and Dying Light to be active with the Obsession alive.

Initially I shrugged it oFF as a bug because it wouldn't have been the first time Perks trigger at incorrect times (such as Left Behind being active with everyone alive) but after testing both Perks out for myself I can say for certain that they aren't bugged. When running Dying Light I made sure to ask people in the end chat if it was active the entire round and it wasn't.

So if either of these things happen to you, you should report the Killer.

decisive strike and dead hard should be removed as individual perks and their effect added to no mither

Everyone knows DS is a busted Perk that has stupidly low risk and massively high reward, in the other end, no mither is total turbo garbo, and has to be played with dead hard anyway

that way, not everyone and their grandmother would run decisive strike without consequences, and no mithers users would get rewarded by saving 2 perks slots to counterbalance the massive disadvantage of being injured whole game

I am not posting it and i do not use it, but i recently saw a streamer browsing it... This is sick, this is where the hacks come from, you can remove perk limitations with a certain tool. 99 Hours played and I wanna break the game. [Perk Ideas]

So, I've had my fair share of both enjoyments, and frustrations, with the game. Thankfully, my own experience has been on the slightly less-buggy side, but perhaps that's because I float around rank 15-18 (as both Killer and Survivor). I got a lot to learn, especially after watching 'MLG' material that finds its way around.

But as I was bored one day at work, I dedicated about two hours of brain-time I'll never get back, to making up perk ideas that will most likely never happen, to share with you guys and add some pepper into the mix. So far, I've got 7 'Killer' perks, and 7 'Survivor' perks, to try and keep things even. Yes, I fully expect that the game would be broken (further) with any of these submissions, but at the very least, I would hope to give some kind of opportunities.

Killer perks: These are intended as a 'to be used by any killer' type of deal. May be useful for some more than others.

  • Finger-Trap: Survivors that stop repairing a or fail a skill check on a generator within your terror radius no longer provide an audio or visual warning, but instead have a [50/75/100%] chance for the survivor be stuck on the machine for [1/1.5/2] seconds.

  • Rites of Passage: One survivor becomes your obsession. If your obsession has been put into the dying state at least [3/2/1] time(s), then once during the same trial be granted the ability to manually close the Black Lock, preventing its use for [20/40/60] seconds.

  • Death's Demands: Successfully grabbing a survivor and interrupting their action attracts the full attention of the Entity. Successfully hooking an interrupted survivor causes [10/20/30%] faster Entity progression during the 'escape' hook phase. Saving the survivor from the hook is also [10/15/20%] slower during the 'struggle' hook phase. However, the violent force that the Entity responds with has a guaranteed chance for the hook to break if the survivor is freed. This perk's effects are not triggered by Basement hooks.

  • Golden Platter: The Entity chooses to savor the hope of its victims during the trial, no longer instantly sacrificing survivors who have been repeatedly hooked. Instead, repeatedly hooking a survivor will resume its struggle phase, only performing a successful sacrifice once the survivor gives up or runs out of time. The Killer gains bonus Sacrifice bloodpoints equal to [50/75/100%] of all survivors' struggle points.

  • Barn Owl: While not already in a chase, successfully striking a survivor reduces your terror radius to [66%/33%/0] for the duration of the resulting chase.

  • FOOD FIGHT: Carrying a survivor grants the secondary ability 'Swing Survivor'. This far-reaching attack shifts your grip as you attempt to beat the target with his friend in your grasp. If this attack connects, both the target and held survivor are both placed into the dying state. Missing with this attack grants [300/200/100%] bonus wiggle effects and [200/150/100%] bonus wiggle speed for the carried survivor.

  • Hex: Illusionary Offensive: A hex that draws strength from survivors' hope and confidence. Dull and Hex totems now periodically cause skill checks when attempting to cleanse. In addition, [1/1/2] additional 'hex' totems are spawned by this perk that survivors can attempt to cleanse. Shows the aura of survivors attempting to cleanse either this hex or the totem illusions spawned by this perk.

Survivor Perks: These are intended as a 'to be used by any survivor' type of deal. May be useful for some more than others.

  • Cathartic Repairs: Once per game upon reaching 100% repairs on a generator, automatically regress down to [0/5/10%] progress and complete repairs a different generator picked at random. Generators can only be used once each in this fashion.

  • Steady Hands: Noise from repairing generators is [20/40/60%] quieter. Also ignore [15/30/45%] of effects that reduce skill check success zones.

  • Spotter: You do everything you can to improve others' chances of saving you. Displays the Killer's aura if they are in a 45-degree cone in front of you up to [16/24/32] meters away. Grunting and noises of pain while on the hook are increased by [50/75/100%] while the killer is within 16 meters of you in any direction.

  • No Mitha [2.0]: Your legs may have been broken when you woke up, but that doesn't mean you just give up! Start the trial in the dying state and are incapable of being brought to your feet. Crawling and wiggling actions are [0/25/50%] faster, blood pools and noises are reduced by [0/50/100%] and bleeding-out progress only occurs when carried by the killer. Unlike others in the dying state, you can work on generators at [10/30/50%] speed. Your low-lying position prevents you from opening exit gates, however the Entity's amusement grants you the ability to open the black lock when exit gates are powered.

  • He's Right Behind Me!: If you are the killer's obsession, then during a chase longer than [8/6/4] seconds, show the killer's aura to all survivors as long as the killer is behind you and still chasing. Otherwise, only show the killer's aura to survivors within the killer's terror radius.

  • Pick Me Instead!: Whether it was liquid courage or just a lost bet, you feel aggressive. If you are the killer's obsession, receive an auditory warning each time the killer begins a lunge attack within [8/9/10] meters of you. If the killer misses an attack detected by this perk, your next action or killer stun within 30 seconds is 10% more effective, stacking up to [3/4/5] times. Otherwise successful skill checks cause a visual and auditory warning for the killer. Taking a hit for another survivor will transfer the obsession status to you.

  • Birdsong: An older nature documentary gave you the idea. While standing still for [5/4/3] seconds within the killer's terror radius and not being actively chased, make distracting birdcalls and whistles that disable any field-of-view improvements for the killer. In addition, further reduce the killer's field of view [---/slightly/moderately] as they become frustrated and are unable to pinpoint the source. While making these noises, have a [50/30/10%] chance of attracting a crow to land within 8 meters of you, every 3 seconds.

I think there is a mistranslation about the daily ritual Mors Ambitio (Death Ambition) wich I don't think is really correct in Latin, I think that a more appropriate translation would be Mortis Ambitio (Ambition of Death) or Mors Ambitiosa (Ambitious Death) because the phrase "Mors Ambitio" is not declined properly. The name should be revisited for a next pach.

My killer rank is between 15-20 usually, but it's been rank 1 before, and I pretty much never get hated on.

Looking at this subreddit, you'd imagine that every game ends in a toxic chat & maybe lots of people on this sub have confirmation bias, but usually I get 'gg' or they don't talk.

When I do get hate it's usually just a simple "camper" or "fuck off" in the chat which isn't really bad at all since it's just survivors taking out their anger which they can't in-game. Killers can camp if they're toxic, survivors tend to t-bag (not very rewarding though let's be honest) and flame in the end-game chat.

I will say that I'm a survivor main, but have been playing a lot more killer lately. So before someone says I'm biased or something I just want to get that out of the way. :)

So listen, I'm definitely a fan of working towards progression, but DbD just feels... soul-crushing.

I'm a survivor main, so a good game will get me 13-14k BP, an OK or average game will get me 8-9k bp, and a shit game will get me 4-6k BP. If I have a great game, can get a lot done and escape, I can be looking at 18-20k BP.

The thing is, even with the BP rework it's just takes a SOUL CRUSHINGLY long time for that to mean anything. I'm looking for games where I can log on for 1-2 hours at a time and feel like I made good progress. Here? It really doesn't feel like much, and honestly the change to the daily system murdered the game. I used to be okay with pursing annoying objectives when it meant getting 60-100k BP, but now that it's only 20-30k? It barely feels worth it to log on.

Which bring me to my second point, which is that the game is starting to feel stale. I have a decent amount of hours logged in the game, and a shit ton more logged watching streamers like Jen and Pug, and it just feels... eh, nowadays. As a survivor, chases feel stale, just methodically running from pallet loop to pallet loop. As a killer it's considerably less fun. I honestly can't understand why anyone even plays killer anymore, it's just so fucking monotonous.

The game, progression and overall structure really need a rework.

Oh, and please drop this fucking "bloodpoint economy" thing. It sounds REALLY stupid, and you are just killing the player progression experience by hawking it. Let it go.
