| Posted: 20 Dec 2017 02:27 PM PST So I've read a lot of positive and negative comments and even watch some YT videos on Dayz, I just downloaded it and what an experience, No idea where I am other than on the coast and after running forever I found a town and started looting for food. I met another player who showed me how to make a knife from a rock and he moved on. While looting I meet a second player that had a backpack and a rifle that he used to kill me even though I had nothing. How killing unarmed players is fun to some people is crazy but the game is great. This time I'm going the other direction. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 20 Dec 2017 07:00 PM PST Hi, I'm a returning Dayz player (2 years without a decent internet connection) and have wanted to get into the streaming side of DayZ. Till I get my connection upgraded though I'm just planning on releasing videos. However, I'm not one for gunplay and play as more of a survivalist (farming, friendly interactions and delivering "noob kits" to the coast) I've been doing some recording and was wondering what other suggestions you have for content, as I'll be making the videos for you guys (my fellow Dayz fans) What sort of "off-meta" encounters etc would you like to see? | Windows 10 updated, now DayZ won't launch. (Fall "Creators Update"?) Posted: 20 Dec 2017 01:04 PM PST I came back from taking a shower earlier to a splash screen on my computer thanking me for updating the the Fall Creators Update (or something along those lines). I had been playing DayZ earlier in the day, but now after the update it will not launch at all through Steam or directly from the install folder. When I try to launch it I get Battle Eye popping up with dialogue in the box saying it's launching the game. "Running" is displayed next to the game in my library for about 10 seconds before it disappears. No errors, no faults. It just stops. Never goes to the "DAYZ splash screen", never passes go and therefore I don't collect the $200. I ran a scan to check the files. Said there was one bad and it was fixed by Steam. Still won't go. Totally uninstalled and re-installed and I still get a no go. Running as Admin or not makes no difference.. What's my next step? I don't remember approving an update to Windows and am not really sure why or what was installed.... [link] [comments]  | ||
