| /r/GlobalOffensive Best of 2017 Awards - Nomination Thread Posted: 15 Dec 2017 03:19 AM PST Hello, /r/GlobalOffenders! As 2018 draws near and the Reddit /r/bestof2017 awards roll up, we want to look back at the best content submitted to /r/GlobalOffensive this year. We have a total of 15 gold creddits to give out, with the winner(s) receiving a gold credit each. Some crazy stuff has happened this year, so make sure to vote for the nominees that you feel are the most deserving of these awards. We ran a similar thing last year for the Reddit /r/bestof2016 awards. You can read the nomination thread and awards thread to see the best post this subreddit had to offer last year. The categories are as follows:
What were the most memorable gameplay moments, be it shocking, amazing or hilariously bad. This category is specifically for plays made by members of the community (non-professional players). Two of the best moments will be chosen.
What was the best thread? This category has a wide variety of applicable nominations and the two best posts will receive gold credit. Please do not nominate a post that falls into a different category.
Thousands of comments are submitted daily but which two people had stand-out comments that set them apart from the rest?
The front page is always filled with Shroud highlights or plays from the latest tournament but which one do you think takes the cake? The player must be on a professional team at the time of the clip and be playing in a tournament - No Rank S highlights.
We have some talented users that frequent the subreddit, making new maps, comics, amazing skins, or making sweet 3D/Poly renders of maps. Nominate the best user generated content here. 3 gold credits will be up for grabs here, to show support for content creators.
Helpful users are the backbone of the community, from involvement in Newbie Thursday to Overwatch Sunday threads. What were the two most helpful comments and/or posts made this year? To show our appreciation for these helpful people, there will be 3 gold creddits up for grabs.
The Counter Strike: Global Offensive scene is filled with community figures that either make videos, stream daily or host/cast tournaments, catering for new players and old players alike. Who was the best community figure this year? Please use the verified /u/ of the person you are nominating. To get started:
Winners in will be given a gold creddit as a reward for posting the best /r/GlobalOffensive has to offer. To remain fair, no person can win twice. In the case of the best pro moment and gameplay moment the person who submitted the thread will receive gold. This thread will remain in contest mode, meaning comment scores are not shown and comments are in a random order. To help you nominate, here is a list of Top-Scoring posts from:

| The next CSGO case is being picked Posted: 15 Dec 2017 04:30 AM PST [EDIT] A patch for the issues I detailed in the previous version of this post has been released! Thanks everyone who up voted for making this post gain visibility, I have finally gotten an official response back confirming the fix after tonight. Very happy this got cleared up. Now there is no worries about work being stolen. The tags that were 'adminonly' also are no longer available. Links to the 'Chimera' tagged weapon case. This workshop link shows all skins tagged 'chimera'. Valve uses this tag on workshop items to prototype the next case. /u/Ulmali's imgur links if you're on mobile The issues with the steam API before the editPreviously, it was possible to retrieve information about the internal skin judging process at valve. As well as finding direct download links to source material which clearly created copyright issues. It would show Interested item, The planned rarity and weather it was in the next case. I would like to point out that I had, before posting this, gone multiple times to valve in an attempt to get them to fix it. After no response the best was is clearly to post it publicly. And it has worked. What I still think should be done...In my opinion, this process should be completely public, and way more information about when the skins are being picked released consistently. This would eliminate there being a problem at all, as well as make the workshop fairer. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| An aim map training where you can train holding an angle. Posted: 15 Dec 2017 04:48 AM PST so when ur holding an angle , and an enemy knows where you are. you hold the angle. the enemy can juggle peek you, wide peek you , crouch peek you , or even jump peek you if you have an awp. A map where a t model pops out from different famous angles in maps like long A on dust 2 or palace on mirage. but with different peeking methos randomly. you can also set it so you only choose 2 of these methods or strictly 1. yea.. thoughts ? Edit: we allready have workshop maps where you prefire angles on the important maps. and dont take this wrong peeking is better all day in csgo but it feels that in pro matches the players hold way more than in pugs. but I suck at holding unless it's an offangle because I would know how the enemy is gonna run or walk past the angle. hence off angle.
