I have an idea for a civ multiplayer mode Posted: 22 Dec 2017 04:32 PM PST Let me know if this sounds plausible. You enter into a multiplayer mode for 30-50 turns only during a marathon length game. Your turns could be at any point in the game afterwards you give up your civ to another random player. The next player is given information about how that civ has progressed so far and any notes on strategy the previous players wanted to pass along. Several people would end up playing the same civ, in the same game. When the game ends, however long that takes, all players are notified if they won or lost and how useful their contribution was. Every civilisation has had many leaders, some good, some terrible, but none forever. Was your reign a good one? [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Dec 2017 05:25 PM PST Hey guys, so I'm trying to win a Deity game so I can get the achievement but I keep on getting steamrolled up to the midgame. I can hold off the barbarians at the start of the game and managed to keep up with the AI science-wise within 5-8 techs difference but it's really hard to expand because the AI gobbles up all the land and the +4 combat strength seems to make unique units such as the Ngao Mbeba and Mamluk useless. Am I doing something wrong? [link] [comments]

Could someone help me out here? Posted: 22 Dec 2017 06:04 PM PST Like a complete stunad (and I'd rather not hear it from others as well although if you're able to help I'll gladly hear it) I replaced a game file without backing it up first while on a roll.... I have an absolute load of altered game files and tons of personal mods I've been tweaking woven all throughout the games files. To remedy the broken files I would need to do a fresh install or get the most recent files sent to me, (AdvancedSetup.xml and AdvancedSetup.lua in the front end folder of the UI in assets) Anything short of that and I could be losing my personal project and customized files. I'm just hoping someone maybe has a link they know of from forums or is able to upload those two files for me so I don't have to go through all the hassle of finding each thing I've done and separating it out. I would be very appreciative and of course will make sure I wont make this mistake again. [link] [comments]
Should I buy the iPad port of Civ VI? Posted: 22 Dec 2017 03:10 PM PST I'm thinking about buying the port of Civ VI. The laptop version is probably somewhat superior, but I already have CIV 5 and being able to play a decent strategy game on mobile is pretty enticing. 1: Do DLCs work on the iPad version? Because I saw a banner saying that an expansion would come out, but I didn't see any sort of place to buy DLCs. Also, I assume that the port will be updated as the base game? 2: Are there mods for the iPad? This isn't really that important to me, but I really enjoyed a few mods in Civ 5 like RED WW2 (Revived), but that isn't going to get ported over as far as I know. 3: How's the performance like (especially at the end game)? So far it has been fairly decent, but as far as I know, it may just be a tiny map with two players. Also, how battery intensive is the game? 4: Also it's a complete port except for some missing graphics right? Regardless I think it's pretty impressive that they managed to make it run smoothly (even if just the demo) on an iPad, I've seen others that were a lot worse. [link] [comments]

Does anyone have any suggestions? I play on emporer conquest only no time limit so the bigger the better if that helps. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Dec 2017 12:50 AM PST So civ 6 is on Sale for £24.99 right now for the base game and £34.99 for the digital deluxe. Based on these prices, is the game worth a grab? Sorry if this is a duplicate post or in the wrong sub reddit [link] [comments] |
