| Make blink 3 sec cooldown only proc on damage dealt by gods. Posted: 16 Nov 2017 01:49 AM PST It's annoying that sometimes u get your initiation messed up because an archer decided to shoot you randomly, or your mystical mail or a damaging aoe ability(think cu chulainn's 2) hits a wave/jungle camp. I think the intent of the cooldown is to stop you from using it as an escape from fights/ganks, which will still be accomplished if the relic only goes on the 3 sec cooldwon if the damage is dealt by gods. | Posted: 15 Nov 2017 05:09 PM PST For those of you who watch patch notes, MLCSt3alth was asked if, for the art contest, one of the prizes will be a date with him. His reponse was "if it gets enough support." Probably a joke, but you never know, right? So if anyone knows how to/could create a petition for this to be true, that would be wonderful. Edit: To clarify, I am not personally interested in this. I thought this would just be funny and a lot of jokes are made about how hot he is. [link] [comments] | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Smite Ultimates in a nutshell (N-Z) Posted: 15 Nov 2017 03:33 PM PST Odin- 5 Phantom Veils suddenly appears in the enemy team's inventory Osiris- Osiris leaps to a target location and shed his entire body, completely trivializing Isis' lore Poseidon- Poseidon thinks that Clash of Titan is real mythology Ra- The Unseen Lasers are the Deadliest Raijin-Percussive Storm... but better! Rama- Justice Rains From Above Ratatoskr- Ratatoskr climbs onto a branch of Yddrassil and immediately falls down because there's nothing supporting the branch Ravana- Ravana basically adopts you Scylla- Scylla gets a pentakill on a minion wave Serqet- How are Serqet's ult and a team in Smite similar? Both are 5 ticks if toxicity that spread whenever someone dies Kaldr- Kaldr fully heals to max HP, roots all enemies around him, and grant him a damage overtime aura Sobek- Here we have the crocodile god in his natural habitat. Watch as the unsuspecting hunter get oneshotted by a full tank Sobek Sol- Rain Fire x8 Sun Wukong- Sun Wukong replaces himself with a clone of himself on the battlefield that forces the opponent to blow their ultimates on it Susano- Susano fully charges his tornado but was looking the wrong way Sylvanus- Sylvanus calls upon the Wrath of Terra, slowing all enemies in an area around him for 1.5 seconds Terra- Terra suddenly gets 5 assists Thanatos- Thanatos suddenly appears in the middle of the enemy team The Morrigan- The Morrigan gets the award for "best ultimate in the game" by plagiarizing other gods. Thor- Thor ganks right lane but lands in left Thoth- To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Thoth's ultimate. It's hitbox is very subtle, and without solid grasp of theoretical physics, most ults will go over a typical opponent's head. Tyr- I don't have enough of a solid grasp of theoretical physic to understand how Tyr even does his ult Ullr- Ullr hasn't yet learns the ways of shooting axes from his bow Vamana- Vamana grows in size and starts to smack the ground Vulcan- Vulcan kills Fire Giant, The Gold Fury, Bull Demon King, and your Titan at the same time while AFK in base Xbalanque- Xbalanque turns the minimap into an average Bronze game Xian Tian- Xin Tian kindly gives you the opportunity to go get a glass of water, go grocery shopping, and watch the Lord of the Ring trilogy before you get to play Smite again Ymir- Ymir reminds everyone that he's a Burst Mage Zeus- Creates a storm cloud anywhere on the map that automatically casts Lightning Bolt on nearby enemies (wait, wrong game) Zhong Kui- Khong Kui releases more demons than Hi Rez releases skins for him [link] [comments] | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Posted: 16 Nov 2017 01:18 AM PST After all the recent comments on Reddit about Zhong Kui's lack of skins of late I thought I would go through all of the Gods in Smite and detail the length of time its been since their last skin. So as to save space I will only include Gods that haven't received a skin this year. I am basing this off of the Smite wiki which only details skins currently in the game and my own knowledge so if there have been skins removed from the game that would in any way affect this list (other than Eliminator Ravana) please let me know. To the best of my knowledge there are 10 gods in Smite who have not received a skin this year, these being: Cabrakan had his last skin (Gamma Slam) released August 4, 2015. I'd also like to give honorable mentions of Serqet/Geb and Ravana. Serqet and Geb would have made this list if not for their new skins being released as of Patch 4.22. Ravana should technically make this list but I include the creation of his Eliminator skin despite its removal as giving him a skin. IDK if anyone will find this interesting but I was bored and it was late so I figured I might as well make this. [link] [comments] | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Posted: 15 Nov 2017 08:12 PM PST So with Kunoichi Serqet coming out, I just have to applaud HiRez for continuing to give Serqet some of the most well done skins in the game. Base - Everything about her looks good. Especially the tail, it gives off a mechanical feel while still keeping it from being robotic, recolor gives a different look while not looking tacky, but that splash art face is, something. Dread Queen - For a skin that came out in 2014, this skin's textures are so clean and sleek. I literally looks so unique. Dessert Queen - Serqet was part of the early tier 2's that kept the main part of the design and it looks great, its simple, but still really stands out as a good looking one Demon/Ebonsoul - Again, completely unique skins that just don't look like anything else in the game. That and the fact that she has hair that actually flips with her dance emote is just great. Madame Blade - I use this one a bunch and I love the voice pack, this one has my favorite tail and I just love the this entire skin Kunoichi - Just so good, I can't wait to use it in game. This may actually take over as my favorite tail. I've been waiting for this ever since I saw the teaser icon in the Odyssey TL:DR: Serqet has the best skins in the game. | Recommended builds aren't even just outdated. They've never even been 'decent' at any point in time. Posted: 15 Nov 2017 08:20 AM PST I could understand it if, for example, an item that used to be good on the God was changed and now it's not good but is left in the recommended. But Wind Demon has NEVER been good on Thor, makes me wonder who even put it there in the first place. [link] [comments] | |||||||||||||||||||||

| A Basic Guide for The Morrigan Posted: 15 Nov 2017 07:45 PM PST Hey guys. I'm Jaimy and today I'll be explaining the basic mechanics of The Morrigan, how her abilities function and how to build her. The Morrigan is very challenging and arguably the hardest character in the game, so that's why I decided to make a guide. This will be a basic guide with some advanced mechanics, so hopefully you learn a thing or two! Abilities Passive ability: Doomsayer The Morrigan's passive ability is called Doomsayer. The Morrigan is one of the only mages with a special basic attack hit chain. The first two autos are normal, while the third one is an exploding basic attack which deals additional tick damage. The damage will tick 3 times and is based on 9% on the target's maximum health. This passive can trigger basic attack oriented item effects like Polynomicon (see Combos section). Ability 1: Deadly Aspects The Morrigan's first ability is called Deadly Aspects. She summons her other two forms and strikes in a short range cone attack. Notice that this cone attack in a reverse cone attack, which means that the further away the enemies are from the Morrigan, the harder it is to hit them. Enemies hit by this attack will be stunned for 1 second. It doesn't matter where in the cone the target is hit, the target will always be stunned for 1 second. Also keep in mind this move has a little bit of charge-up time, it doesn't come out instantly. This ability does NOT reset Morrigan's basic attack hit chain. So you can do: AA > AA > 1 > Special AA, for example. This skill is levelled second. Ability 2: Dark Omen The Morrigan's next ability is Dark Omen. This is a line projectile that deals damage to gods and minions. It deals extra damage to minions, making this an excellent wave clear tool. Additionally, this ability applies an omen to all enemy gods hit. This is depicted as an hourglass above the target's head, which lasts for 8 seconds. If the target is hit again by either one of your abilities or one of your allies' abilities, the omen procs and the same damage is dealt again as the initial line ability. Since the cooldown of Dark Omen is 7 seconds with no CDR, you can proc the omen with another Dark Omen. This ability is levelled first because it is your primary way of clearing minion waves. Ability 3: Confusion Confusion is the Morrigan's stealth ability. She essentially creates a doppelganger of herself which you let walk in any direction. While she is in stealth, her movement speed is increased. Enemies can attack the decoy and it will die the moment it is attacked. The Morrigan's stealth cannot be broken by minions, but it can be broken by god damage or attacking yourself. Whenever her stealth is broken, she loses the increased movement speed. An interesting thing about this ability is that it can be used to body block enemy ultimates. For example, whenever you have a Neith ult locked onto you, just aim down and put the decoy at your feet so it body blocks the shot. This ability can be used for both escaping and initiating. I recommend setting this ability to instant cast so you can use it as quickly and efficiently as possible. This ability is levelled third. Levelling this ability increases the stealth duration and stealth movement speed. Ultimate ability: Changeling The Morrigan's ultimate is her trademark ability. It's very unique in the sense that no other god is able to do what she can do. What is it you may ask? Well, she has the ability to transform into other gods currently participating in the match! She can choose any god at will, and gets the abilities, including the ultimate, and the gods' items for 10 seconds. She also uses the levelling order of herself, not the levelling order of the ally or enemy she chooses. As such, it is wise to choose gods that have the same levelling order as herself (2 > 1 > 3) to also get maximum efficiency out of the regular abilities. After these 10 seconds she de-transforms into her own self. While I can't realistically show you all the specific situations in which you should select a specific god, I can give you some guidelines on how to use her ultimate. Remember, this is only a basic guide after all. For example, if you're stuck into an Odin cage, you may want to use your ultimate defensively and transform into a god with a leap. Maybe there's a Hou Yi in your match, so you can transform into him and leap out of the cage safely. Or maybe there's an Ares on your team. Why not transform into him, burn some beads so that the real Ares can actually pull people in with his ultimate. Or transform into Vulcan, use the ultimate to try to steal or secure the Fire Giant. These are just some examples of ultimate usage. The Morrigan requires you to have a lot of game sense and god knowledge to use her ultimate effectively. So go ahead and experiment. Communication with your team is key as Morrigan's ultimate has potential to combo very well with your team's ultimates. Also, always level your ult whenever possible. It has an enormous cooldown and levelling it decreases the cooldown significantly. Item Build and Relics Next: My preferred item build! For starters, you can go with either Soul Stone or Sands of Time. Soul Stone provides some good early clear and extra damage, and she stacks Soul Stone quickly since she can get 3 Soul Stone stacks on her exploding basic attack (see Abilities section). Sands of Time is great as well because it provides tons of mana regen as well as 10% cooldown reduction. After you get some gold, you obviously want to get your boots first. You can choose between cooldown boots or pen boots. I usually go with Shoes of the Magi since flat pen in the early game helps you do closer to true damage to squishy characters. Then I go with Spear of Desolation. This is an excellent item and gives The Morrigan all the stats she is interested in: Power, flat penetration and CDR. The passive on this item is just a bonus which can situationally decrease your cooldowns. This combined with Shoes of the Magi lets you deal true damage to mages since you have 30 pen at this point, and mages without protection items or protection auras have 30 magical protection. Then, you want Polynomicon. This is the point where The Morrigan gets good kill potential with her basic combos (see Combos section). You build this item mainly for the passive. The passive of this item is that the next basic attack after casting an ability does extra damage based on 75% of your magical power. Note this is not true damage but magical damage, so penetration will help to increase this number. This item is a core item, in my opinion, since Poly procs are extremely easy to confirm with the Morrigan. Next up is Obsidian Shard. This is a core item on almost any mage, and greatly increases the damage you deal against tanks, as well as structures. Your fifth item is situational and mainly comes down to personal preference. You can choose between Chronos Pendant for more CDR or Ethereal Staff or Soul Reaver for more burst damage. You can also go with Spirit Robe or Mantle of Discord if you need more defensive stats. I usually go with Chronos Pendant since I'm a sucker for CDR. But, like I said, you can opt for other items as well as it is just personal preference. Your last item is Rod of Tahuti. This should be an obvious item choice. The power and the passive on this item increase your magical power by about 200, which is a huge deal and lets you two-shot squishies in the late game. A full build would look like this: Shoes of the Magi > Spear of Desolation > Polynomicon > Obsidian Shard > Chronos Pendant > Rod of Tahuti. You can cap out your CDR by buying a purple power potion. As for relics, I usually go with Beads and Aegis almost every time. Blink is very good as well and is very hard to react to, and it can be very useful if you decide to transform into gods like Ares or Geb. Combos 3 > 1 > AA > 2 > AA (Stealth combo, against gods with an escape) This combo is your bread and butter combo. First you approach with stealth. Ideally you want to approach them from behind. Engage with your 1 to stun them. When they're stunned you can land another free basic attack into your 2. If they're still not dead after your 2, AA them until they die. 3 > 2 > AA > 1 > AA (Stealth combo, against gods without an escape) This combo is definitely not as practical as the first one, since the enemy has time to react to your 2 and escape, but it results in higher burst damage, since you proc the damage of her omen twice. It is recommended to use this combo against gods without an escape, such as Ra, Artemis or Anubis. AA > 2 > AA > 1 > AA > 3 > AA (Burst damage combo) This combo is mostly used in a ganking scenario, where you want to get as much damage as possible in the shortest timeframe. You walk up to them from behind, basic attack once, apply the omen, AA them once for a Poly proc, charge up your 1 to stun them and do one AA. Then you AA-cancel with your 3, wait a little bit so that your Poly should have refreshed its cooldown so you can get two poly procs in this combo. 2 > 2 (Poke combo) If you're being zoned and can't get in range to use your 1, I recommend using the very basic 2 > 2 combo. Your omen lasts long enough to proc it with another omen before it disappears. This combo is pretty good burst damage on the second hit! Use one of your abilities after you doomed the enemy (Polynomicon combo) This last combo is specifically used if you built Polynomicon. You can proc Poly with abilities if you have doomed the enemies. What this means is that you apply the 3rd basic attack of your hit chain additional basic attack damage will keep on ticking. Since poly procs work off of basic attacks, you can use abilities on doomed enemies to get poly proc, without actually using an AA. This is, as said before, the consequence of Morrigan's passive, which applies basic attack damage instead of ability damage. Example: You hit your exploding basic attack on an enemy, but they're on low health and try to escape. You can then use your 3 to get a poly proc in since they are under the effect of basic attack damage to potentially kill that low health enemy. Click here for a visual demonstration of this combo. That concludes the end for this guide. I hope this was insightful. Thanks for reading! [link] [comments] | |||||||||||||||||||||
