Tips on late game for newish player

Good day, title is kind of weird sorry.

I've gotten to GR70 once before this season and hit GR70 solo again this season. The first time it was later in the season and I was having fun with multiple characters trying builds.

This season though, I am a necro (first time necro) and I feel I can push this character.

What are some tips for end game things at this point to help with pushing. Let's just assume that I won't be able to farm full primals.

I've got 4 legendary gems to 55, one of which is useless now, I know I can imprint that gem into a piece of gear, but not sure how or how I figure out what the best piece is for it.

Do I want to keep the 3 main gems I use and keep leveling them up forever? Or do I want to burn those and imprint them in gear?

Other then minor gear upgrades and the obvious paragon level boost (i'm like 605ish), is there any other way to boost stats or does it turn into skill at this point?

Am I missing anything else I should be aware of? i watch the great Quinn69 on twitch a lot! He seems to constantly be looking at things, but I don't understand why. Either you got upgrades or you don't! So there seems to be a next level of thinking to diablo3 and I just don't see it right now.

What crafting mats do you always run out of? Any tips for keeping the veiled crystals at the same level as the other mats? I'm ALWAYS running out of them.

Anyone else experiencing freezes in-game for 2-3 seconds?

I don't know if it's a lag spike or what, but when I rift, about 10-15 min after starting the game, the mobs will freeze and my character can still move for 2-3 seconds, then everything will catch up suddenly and I am usually dead.

Never happened in previous seasons, all other on-line games are fine.

I tried logging out of chat and deleting the .txt file, but still.

So is it just me or is anyone else having that issue?

When trying to "perfect" gear, is it better to reforge legendaries, or run GR's/Rifts?

I haven't played S12 yet but some people saying everything is easier cause of the buffs but wouldn't only T13 be easier and now we can achieve higher GRs?

I've seen a good amount of people say the buffed sets made the game way easier and that is a huge turn off for them. They say they did all the season journey in less than a day and got to GR80 in less than a few days but I don't see why TF people complaining.

Season journey is or was just a edick measuring contest with themselves anyways so no one really cares about that. And so what if you can reach GR80 in less than 2-3 days? GR80 is like the new GR70 so just think of it like that and this season set the standards higher like try to reach GR100 if your goal was GR90 in the previous seasons.

Like I said in the title I haven't played S12 yet but these negative opinions making me sort of not wanting to play but at the same time I want to play. I got other things I gotta take care of so I can't plat at the moment but some convincing/opinions on S12 from those who enjoy it would be appreciated.

In a nutshell, sometimes when I alt tab out, screen will flicker like if it's deciding which screen to show me. Black screen, flicker back to game briefly, glimpse of desktop, until I intervene with aggressive ctrl alt del or windows key.

Doesn't happen all the time. Both game and desktop are 1080 res.

Hey last season(season 11) i played alot around the lightning rune and i was wondering if lightning is still the best stat to go for? or do you feel like all stats are great depends on what gear stats you have. i would really like to go cold instead, thoughts?

Help with Necro speed GR and t13/bounty build please

Hello,

it's kinda rant and I really am sorry, but if you're willing to help I would like you to know where I'm coming from:D.

Anyway, for solo GR push and 4 man push it's clear, Pest corpselance and Trag corpselance respectively (I'm talking about top specs, sure Pest is not easy to play, but it is the best for solo pushing, so I'm gonna have to manage).

The problem is I HATE to focus on more things at a time, constantly switching specs and getting through all the sets to save it with the new item I've just got, having to adapt to different play styles several times a day etc. I would love one of the above to be good at everything, but that is obviously not the case.

What do you think?

I have tried several specs, but after falling in love with Pest autolancer (I think, the one with constant LotD and spamming devour) and deciding to "go with it" I realized, that killing bosses in bouty runs is often problem, because I can't do shit to Diablo or Malthael (or many others) due to phase transitioning and me having LotD on cooldown. Teleporting to town is often problem aswell, because there are no skellies to finish off /keep busy attacking mobs, so I have to finish off my surroundings or get screwed if LotD is on cooldown. So, this Pest build (awesomely fast in T13 and Speed GR), is sadly a no go for T13 and bounties for me.

The spec though is still awesome for speed GR, but that would leave me on on 3 specs already with having to run one more different build for T13 and bounties.

Is Rathma Singularity the solution for me? And how good is it doing in speed GR? There are problems again, with me wanting to wear Nemesis bracers for speed GR and T13, but the spec being dependent on Reaper's wraps (or am I wrong?) I would have to cube one, while having to equip Tasker and run with RoRG. Since I need Jesseth set I have to cube Reilena's and have to give up In-geom. So maybe Singularity without LotD? Are those mages powerful enough to rip throug the elites on higer GR speed runs? Because Pest autolancer excels in that and I would love if the Singularity spec matched it so I have just one spec for T13/bounty and speed GR's. I am also not keen on having to enable/disable numlock devour once every 3 minutes, but I guess devouring aura fixes that.

I am aware my "struggles" may seem stupid, but I really very much dislike having to constantly change build and having to acclimate to different play styles many, many times a day.

Help

I just got my first primal in season 12, and it is a travelers pledge.

I initially created necro just for pestilence speeds because i like the playstyle, but am also thinking about possibly pushing with pestilence too, and not just playing monk.

The dilemma:

• amulet stats are: 20% poison dmg, 1000 int, 100 CHD, socket

• top clears are done using cold setup rather than poison.

So - either i can reroll poison damage to cold, because the cold setup gives crit chance per hit with corpse lance anyway, or roll crit hit chance and run poison lancer.

Really i would do the poisonlancer over the coldlancer if the gr difference is only 1-2 levels.

So three questions:

1) whats the greater rift difference between cold and poison runes, and why is everyone running brittle vs ricochet?

2) which would be better in your opinion and why.

3) would it still make sense to run cold if i have poison 10,100 rather than cold,int,100?

How do I keep progressing

I've only been playing diablo for 3 weeks. I started a season 12 witch doctor when the season started. Right now I have my 6 piece and have completed chapters I-IV and slayer. I am able to get about GR 50 and have paragon 225, but feel like I'm not able to progress much more. Am I able to upgrade my green pieces or do I have to hope they drop but with better stats? I'm just feeling stuck as I'm new to this game and still trying to figure out the end game.
