Dota 2 - Advanced Ward Guide - 7.07 Dueling Fates Patch Posted: 04 Nov 2017 02:58 AM PDT |
Posted: 04 Nov 2017 10:04 AM PDT I noticed a trend recently that involved verbally abusing anyone who build Ember for physical damage because magical damage is superior almost always. Indeed, reading threads dating 2-3 months old, I see "experts" touting the "superiority" of magical Ember. With the last few patches, however, it seems as if the Frog God himself doesn't want ember to be played as a magical damage dealer.
Keeping all this in mind, is physical Ember the meta now? Or is there still a situation when one should opt for magical ember? Would love to know what you guys think. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Nov 2017 07:49 PM PDT Hello guys, I've been playing offlane for quite some time, and my hero pool consists mostly of offlane and support heroes. I've been stuck in 3.7K-3.8K bracket for a long time now. But after playing some 1v1 mid matches with some higher MMR friends and winning, I'm actually considering transitioning to a mid role. Are there any overall and even specific tips you can give me to help me? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
New to Dota, really weirded out about the leveling! Posted: 04 Nov 2017 06:59 PM PDT Hey! After 3000 hours of CS GO i'm finally started getting into Dota, having never played a MOBA-before. My tactic is just to spam Turbo-games and play 4-5 games daily until i learn and hopefully git gud. It's super-confusing but i'm having fun as fuck since Turbo is very beginner-friendly. I almost exclusively play Carrys (such as Luna, PA, Juggernaut and a bit of Viper and WK) since i find it most fun right now (and i can kill people, since everyone else is also new). What has weirded me out mostly is how i level in the game. Since i'm a bit better than total beginner i play really good in my hidden rank and normally get lots of kills early game. Most often i'm ahead everyone in level (except the mid-guy) early-game. Here's where it get's weird for me. Sometimes i snowball ahead massively. Sometimes everyone catches up to me. And i don't get the difference. One game i played Crystal Maiden and i got fucked but was still ahead everyone in level. Another game i played Viper and killed loads but was one-level behind despite having zero deaths. What's up? Do I have something odd going on with my positioning or something? Could be a hard question, but just pump out your reflections and i'll soak it up. Just trying to "grasp" the game a bit better :)) [link] [comments] |
new player looking for someone to play with Posted: 04 Nov 2017 12:42 PM PDT Hello. I'm a new dota 2 player and look for someone to play with. It doesn't need to be mentoring, I would also enjoy to just play together with someone. I would have time right now or later. My timezone is MEZ+1 (Germany). [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Nov 2017 08:37 AM PDT Watching Dotapit they mentioned how some pros like No Tail say when you switch away from edge-panning you'll be better at Dota, but I always though edge-panning was better? Since your cursor will be near the side you are approaching for quicker access to targeted spells for enemies/allies etc. Is there some sort of disadvantage to using edge-panning I'm not aware of? Vengeful Spirit's Aghanim Scepter - Core, Luxury, Win-More? Posted: 04 Nov 2017 06:15 PM PDT I'm a Vengeful Spirit spammer yet there's an item I really cannot make up my mind about. What makes this Aghanim so good that it's better than any other? I know what it does but I can't seem to see if and when should you buy it. It's certainly good when carrying multiple auras so it's a no brainer luxury for a support, but is it a must pickup on core VS as well? If so, when? [link] [comments] |

Should I turn "Enhance pointer precision" Off? Posted: 04 Nov 2017 06:03 PM PDT Do you guys turn off the option "enhance pointer precision"? [link] [comments] |
What do I do with my webs as a Broodmother being hunted down by 4s all the time? Posted: 04 Nov 2017 06:02 PM PDT And what else can I do? so in the given scenario 4 people start hunting me down thing is what if my teammates never use that opportunity to push? What should I usually do in these situations? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Nov 2017 09:05 AM PDT 1) What are people's starting builds now for AM? I feel like stout+quelling+5 tangos+branch is really the only option 2) Since BF is much cheaper now, is it viable to first BF? 3) skill build: attack speed -> -1 blink CD -> stats -> 30% magic shield, is there any situation when this wouldn't be the case? I guess against BS you would get the blink distance at level 20 so you can blink out of rupture. Other than that, can't think of any other variations. 4) How do you deal with CK as AM? Do you need a BKB? I hate bkb on AM, I had a heart + butterfly and he was deleting me within his stun [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Nov 2017 05:17 PM PDT Visage is my most played hero and i had great success playing him as position 5. So i've played a couple games with him after the patch to see how the changes to birds affected him. I must say i find his ultimate a bit underwhelming now. Even when i do very well early game, which doesn't happen very often since he's very weak pre 6, and get to 6 relatively early for a support his ultimate doesn't feel like the game changer it was. I did a little testing in demo mode and stout shield on its own blocks 40% of birds' damage now. His talents seem worse too. No longer 30% XP at level 10. 80 Familiar MS and +1 Familiar are cool but you get them pretty late into the game, especially if you're a support. People who tested him, do you think he's still good? I've been thinking about alternating points between his Q and W, ignoring the passive. I guess that could make familiars stronger, but they'd make visage and the birds much more vulnerable. Arcades that let you practice mechanics? Posted: 04 Nov 2017 11:10 AM PDT Anyone know any arcades where you can do that? The only good one I found was through black's stream (training polygon) [link] [comments] |
Can someone tell me how I could have won this game? Posted: 04 Nov 2017 04:46 PM PDT My team was dominating in the early stages of the game, but towards the end the enemy team came back. I was the necrophos and all of them were targeting me by buying linkens and bkbs, so I felt that I could not really do anything. Can someone check out the match and tell me how I could have maybe won the game? Was my itemization poor or was it just that I suck so bad lol match id: 3543295391 [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Nov 2017 06:10 AM PDT I played nightstalker yesterday for the first time and was wondering if his ultimate is ever useful to pop when it's already nighttime? Or should it be reserved specifically for daytime use? [link] [comments] |
What to do when your team is getting wrecked? Posted: 04 Nov 2017 08:51 AM PDT Hi everyone! Im a 6 year lol player and have been playing for about 5 months. 3 months being very consistent (i try to balance lol and dota). Im having alot of fun with dota. The skill trees, the amazing abilities, and the items. I feel like im playing league unchained or something. My only question is what do i do when our team is getting rekt. I mostly play support or roamer somewhere in the 4/5 gold spot. U cant surrender so is there something i can do? I dont want to just "open mid". Can i like practise something? Its kind hard when there carries are fed and i get destroyed. Any advice is much appreciated. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 04 Nov 2017 12:19 AM PDT Ive been using ctrl (unified order) for micro ever since i started playing but i would like to learn how to micro properly, anyone got some advice on how to do that effectively for heroes such as TB/beastmaster/naga [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Nov 2017 05:11 AM PDT With tango having 5 charges now and the potential of having double amount of heal with eaten branch or ward, I don't see any reason to buy salve now. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] |
