| Second attempt for my bachelor survey :( (Really need participants) Posted: 05 Nov 2017 04:11 AM PST Hello again redditors, as some of you might remember I did a survey for my bachelor a few months back regarding League. I promised a follow up post in july, but I did not follow up on it. The reason is that my pc somehow crashed and in that meltdown I basically lost most of my data (even my backup unfortunately). I wanted to post the results based on my memory, but talking back and forth with my tutor and the university I was allowed to do a rather similar topic as the last attempt was so succesful (over 9k participants). Some asked for the follow up post and I am really sorry that I was quiet for such a long time. I probably should have made a post earlier explaining the situation, but I was not sure what influence it would have on my second attempt here (Also I was covered in work for the whole summer in order to pay for my extra semester). Nonetheless I still messed this up. I apologize to all that were waiting for the post. I came back here hoping you, like my university and tutor, would give me a second chance. I love the game, I think the topic is a very important one and I want to show the world of science how great of a tool reddit can be. I hope you will help me out once more. I will not make the same mistake again. I WILL (!!!) post a follow-up (It´s already written) by the end of the next week and take the whole day answering your every questions. Posted: 05 Nov 2017 07:45 AM PST EDIT- Ok so this blew up and the EU vs NA rivalry never ends well so I'm going to post all the background info up here so it doesn't degenerate into a fiesta. 1) The rioter who wrote this is from EU so my earlier riot sucking off NA comment is obviously not true 2) The article wasn't too outlandish at the time poorly worded in some parts imo but in all fairness definitely not as bad as something like this could be 3) The point of this thread isn't to go full EU vs NA but instead to press the issue that what I feel was a certain degree of bias on riots part that gave much more hype, such as their legends rising video, to NA over regions such as EU and TW which is highlighted by this article being the only thing we got in terms of hype. 4) This isn't a witch hunt on the article the article is just an example again I didn't think it was too bad and I appreciate the effort from the guy that wrote it so EU at least got something [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 10:55 AM PST There are many crit animations that aren't seen especially on mages like Diana, Kassadin or Amumu which are sick as 5m. Amumu does some breakdancing while Kassadin and Diana kinda do some wavy stuff. This will allow us to experience more efforts from the design team and make for more clarity as well. It could work for sheen effects, hydra actives or even for statikk shiv and rapid fire cannon. TLDR: this will make for more clarity and appreciation of the work from the modelling team. | It's ironic how the changed honor system gives out fewer rewards than ever. Posted: 05 Nov 2017 02:22 AM PST I play League every day, and I am obsessive when it comes to the rewards offered by League. I play a lot, and make sure that I get my first win of the day EXACTLY when it rolls over, every day. Having said this, before the honor update, I was able to open every single chest I unlocked, except for 2 that I finally broke down and bought keys to unlock because it was pretty clear to me that earning keys was just slightly slower than earning chests. Fastforward to after the honor update, I still play just as much as I always do, but I have 5 chests and 0 keys. I recall Riot saying that we would earn just as many keys as before, and sure enough, on the Honor Update Page and the Honor FAQ, these claims are made. Honor capsules containing fragments help, but they very rarely drop, even at level 5 honor. I feel like putting the key drops into the honor system was a good idea, but part of me feels like Riot consciously made these decisions with the knowledge that doing so would be an overall decrease to the amount of rewards that the average player gets. TLDR: The new Honor System was a HARD nerf to how many keys you can obtain. [link] [comments]  | ||
