This game is amazing! I thought that based on my experience with Skyrim and videos I've seen, that this would be a drab, humorless world with a ton of travel time between objectives. Actually, its the opposite. It walks the fine line between being too serious yet still allowing immersion. And the voice acting plus unique NPCs makes the game so much more interesting to solo.

It's clear to me now that WOW will die eventually. It just doesn't have the technical abillity to stay engaging and relevant.

The mechanics of combat are fast and real time, graphics are roughly on par with vanilla skyrim, there is no waiting for cooldowns, movement is fluid. During combat there is always the feeling that you can do a little bit better, time your blocks and attacks better, use dodges more effectively. IOW, it feels like it takes skill.

I rolled a Redguard nightblade. She is running around in an island town learning the ropes. It feels pretty restrictive and hard to gear up. I have less than 300 gold and can't buy anything. Also haven't made any headway with professions.

I was using an iron dagger for the first five hours because its the only 1H I found the entire time! (Also running around in bikini because I didn't have any chest armor.. and well immersion. She's like a swashbucking pirate.)

I don't know how many of the mechanics work, but the game has depth, apparently more than Skyrim.

I am truly amazed that this game had a reputation as "not as good" as Skyrim.

We know that, while the Auridon Altmer are a bit more open, the mainland Alinor high elves are extremely reclusive.

So there should not be Argonian/Nord/etc shopkeepers, bankers, villagers, and basically, other races should be rare. Dominion ones less so, but it would kind of go against everything we know of the High elves if they have foreigners all over the place.

Do you ever learn why did Abnab and Ezdab stop messaging you and someone else does? Or what happened to Melina, why did her contract get sold to the Velothril sisters? Or Madame Firilanya?

Do you ever meet these NPCs or hear of them in the world?

[Discussion] Does anyone else think the Sorcerer Pets are really ugly?

They are all a weird/ugly greyish purple. I get they want to make them look different from mobs, but surely there were other colors they could have used that look more natural. The only one that looks cool to me is the Storm Atronach but he isn't permanent.

P.S. they should add more Sorcerer sets that affect summons like they did with the Daedroth. We don't need another pet class, but I would appreciate more options with the current classes.

So I bought ESO on the day the X came out. I've been thinking about buying ESO forever and the combo of it being $10 and 4k was a huge selling point. So needless to say I never played it without 4K.

I just recently played it on the OG Xbox at my work and wow what a difference. The colors and lighting upgrades are impressive. Amazing work.

For me id say if you're making a dedicated crafter make the class an imperial because that motif is rare and expensive.

I've been playing ESO on and off ever since I got it. I only have two characters, a dark elf sorcerer I play with my friend and an orc dragon knight - I've mostly been playing on my dragon knight. I read that ESO is a very open-ended MMO with regards to builds so I've played up to level 38 with the heavy armor, 2h and sword and shield skill lines and most skills from Ardent Flame and Draconic power.

I ran my first dungeon recently, and we really struggled. The tank whispered me after and basically told me that I was doing everything wrong. He told me that 2H weapons are for pvp only and that I should never even touch sword and shield for DPS, and said I should be using destruction staves only, take all my attribute points out from how I have them divided and put them all into magicka. Finally he told me to spec into light armor.

I don't have nearly enough gold to respec all of that and it took me so long to level the skill lines that I think I should just make a new character entirely. When I saw "Dragon Knight" I wanted to be exactly that, not a glorified mage.

So with my grievances out of the way, does anyone have advice for a beginner on how to properly build a character? Maybe an easier class?

Which dallies do you do every day? And which do you not bother with?

Hey all just seems as if there's so many dallies, ATM I do the crafting ones but not sure which ones are worth doing.

Which ones do you think give best rewards (best is up to you) and which do you think aren't worth it.

I just got the achievement for clearing a weekly trial in under 33 minutes by finishing VMA in just over 3 hours.

It's possible I don't understand that achievement, or ESO doesn't understand time.
