Starting this week whenever I log into wow via the bnet app, the first time it disconnects me immediately after connecting, but after exiting wow and reconnecting via the app everything works fine. anyone else experiencing this?

Edit: Thanks for the helpful feedback, everyone! I'm working on a ToS loot guide as well that shows all pieces of gear for each item type and each slot, so keep your eyes peeled for that in the next week!

New Discord server "WoW Looking for Group", the one stop to find your groups!

Greetings fellow defenders of Azeroth and beyond!

Most of you are probably on Discord by now, be it with your guild, friends or others. So you might of heard about the different WoW Discord servers out there and maybe even joined a couple. Sadly this means you are spread out over multiple servers and have to keep track on all of what is going on. That is where we come in the WoW Looking for Group Discord! We are offering group searches for Dungeons, Raids, PvP, Twinking, Farming or anything else you can think of! I will go into detail further on in this post.

To introduce the WoW Looking for Group Discord we are going to do a giveaway of the newly releasedTwilight and Luminous Starseeker mount and pet! More about that later in this post.

Why the Looking for Group Discord?

Being in different WoW Discord I've always come across the same problem, that when I want to get a group going fast for something I can never reach a big audience. That is why a few others and myself decided to create the Looking for Group Discord. Because the difference between our Discord and other WoW Discords is that we have and allow mention able roles (e.g. @2v@ or @Leveling)

To give you a few quick examples on how this would work: I am looking for a battleground group: @BG Anybody interested in doing some BG's? or @BG Setting up a premade battleground group need 5 more players. * *@Volatile anybody up for farming some Volatile Waters? @HRaid, running Heroic Tomb of Sargeras need 2 Tanks / 5 Healers and / 13 DPS

You might ask yourself this question now: "But won't I be spammed by all these mentions?" Well that is a possibility, but we already made it so you will only see your own region and faction channels, so you will not get mentioned by factions and region you do not play on. Besides that, you can enroll and unroll to your liking, so not planning on running dungeons today? Just unroll yourself, so you won't get mentioned.

While this is a starting Discord Server you might not instantly find a group, but with more people joining this should fix itself.

How do I get into the action myself?

In order to get in on the action yourself you can visit the WoW Looking for Group Discord. You can then enroll yourself into the correct region(s) and faction(s) as you desire, by using the following commands in the #role-request channel !setrank EU-Horde, !setrank EU-Alliance, !setrank US-Horde or !setrank US-Alliance. This will give you access to your region and faction specific channels. If you like to be mentioned (pinged) when something is going on which interested you, make sure to enroll yourself in those rolls as well, as seen in our #role-request channel.

For example, I love to do some Normal and Heroic Dungeons so I use !setrank NDungeon and !setrank HDungeon, this way people can mention @NDungeon or @HDungeon and ask for a group or setup a group. This also goes for PvP, Farming (currently we support @Volatile, @Primal and @Transmog, but we can add more) or just simple leveling!

What are the different roles on the Discord Server?

  1. Achievement - If you are interested in farming achievements (any kind).
  2. Dungeon Roles - People searching for a Normal, Heroic, Mythic, Mythic+ or Achievement dungeon run.
  3. Raid Roles - People searching for a Normal, Heroic, Mythic or Achievement raid run.
  4. PvP Roles -People searching for a a casual Battleground, Rated Battleground, 2v2 or 3v3 Arena match.
  5. Material Farming Roles - People interested in farming Volatile, Primals, Old World Mats or Legion mats.
  6. Transmog Farming Roles - People interested in farming transmog pieces .
  7. Twink Roles - Anybody that is interested in queuing up with people from their same twink bracket.
  8. Community Figures - Community members who helped out in various ways (e.g. Discord Icon, Add-ons, Bots, etc.)
  9. Moderator - Moderators for this Discord server. They manage the chat and help out in a variety of ways (removing spam, muting, banning, etc.)
  10. Administrator - Administrators for this Discord server. They can help with anything regarding this discord server, role management, etc.

This giveaway will run for a total of 7 days before we conclude the winner.

How will this work?

  1. You join our Discord Server
  2. You enroll yourself in your specific region and faction role in #role-request
  3. You click the tada emote (http://i.imgur.com/TaV6MN7.png) below the post made by the Giveawaybot in #giveaway. You've entered when the number next to the emote turns blue.

The winner will be announced by @GiveawayBot automatically at the end of the giveaway in this channel. You will have 24 hours to send me, @Kikkah#2635, a PM acknowledging the prize. If you don't, a new winner will be chosen.

The instance under Tol Barad needs to be available to both factions at all times.

In legion, Skinners are given a quest named "Trial of the Crusader: Hides of Legend" which requires you to enter the instance under Fort Baradin in Tol Barad and skin a beast.

Skinning is a PvE activity and should not be restricted by PvP whatsoever, locking level 3 Stonehide Leather skinning behind the Tol Barad PvP mini game is stopping PvE focused players who just want to max out their professions from progressing.

You can leave the rewards from Tol Barad but the instance under Fort Baradin needs to be unlocked at all times. This was a Cataclysm Minigame and should not be blocking Legion players from being able to progress.

My son has trouble falling asleep without bedtime stories. My wife and I take turns to tuck him in, and I thought I would tell him one of the many incredible stories I know from WoW lore. Tomorrow I'm thinking I will tell him about Lo'gosh, and perhaps let him play my death knight. Dad 1, mum 0 :D
