I'm Moobeat, I'm 29 years old, and I created and continue to produce daily content for Surrender at 20, a League of Legends news site focusing on PBE coverage, keeping a pulse on the latest news, and coalescing information into easy to digest collections. I started Surrender at 20 stared back in February 2011 and, with a bit of luck and hard work, managed to grow up right along side the game and sprout into what it is today. Surrender at 20 is based out of my living room in Southern Indiana and it is the lone source of source of income for me and my fiancee. Before we kick off, I'd like shine the spotline on the other folks who keep the WIPSHIP afloat. S@20's crew is very small. Every post on the site gets worked on by me and/or Aznbeat, with Frostyninja tagging in for the occasional assist and Uli looming in shadows. Quick introductions for the crew: -Aznbeat is my fiancee and she's been right by my side through this whole S@20 business - from cracking up at bugged PBE textures to stressing out over not being able to keep up with the news machine. While she's played less than a dozen ~actual~ games of League of Legends, lately Aznbeat has been doing a lot of heavy lifting on the site - even soloing the recent PBE cycle while I was out of commission - you may even have seen her on the daily PBE reddit shares trying to take in feedback, fix typos, and all that. She propped up our family when I wanted to take a chance see where the site could go and she's shouldered a ridiculous work schedule to keep it a float. Not hard to say S@20 wouldn't be here without her support and encouragement, through the trial and error of me being my own boss, countless missed social events, and even profanity at the sight of a late night unannounced PBE update. -FrostyNinja handles the actual site, everything from the layout to backgrounds, etc. Here also tends to be stuck fixing whatever madness I unleash. I break a lot of things with the site. FrostyNinja makes sure I don't burn the whole damn site down with my .jpg names. Years ago when the site was super small, he sent me a rogue email volunteering to give the site a make over - I sense he was not impressed with my default purple blogger template. Even if he wasn't still here helping automate posts, bringing little jokes and easter eggs alive, or working the layout, his enthusiasm for my little blog snowballed S@20 into what it is and where it is today. -Uli runs the SkinSpotlights channel and is the resident programmer and brain. He's developed a lot of datamining and PBE tools, along with his own creator suite and various other projects.While his channel and S@20 are separate, we have mutually beneficial relationship despite Uli being British and the constant confusion about what a "biscuit" is. Be it marking off the "days since last pbe leak" calendar or just tilting because the latest deploy mercilessly crippled all of the tools, Uli taught me how to PBE and I can't imagine how things would turn out if he never replied to my dopey youtube messages. There are, of course, many other members of the S@20 family from over the years. Life moves fast, I'll always appreciate the effort they put into running projects from (our quite dated now) S@20 tournament, forging an esports section for the site, and wrangling in the comments. I'd be a stooge to not also mention the S@20 community folks who contribute their time to helping us hunt down missing changes on twitter, keep things under control in our community discord, or simply shitpost the comment section. It's been a few years since the last one but this is my second AMA here on the subreddit - a lot has changed since 2012! Posted: 06 Aug 2017 07:05 AM PDT With the victory on the tie-breaker match for 1st place over Raise Gaming, Flash Wolves have placed 1st in the regular season of LMS, and will go straight to the playoff finals, thus securing at least 2nd place finish in playoffs and also 90 circuit points. Adding to their existing 90 circuit points due to 1st place finish in spring split, Flash Wolves will have the most circuit points among LMS teams, thus confirming flash wolves at least a 2nd seed to worlds. Clg must lose today vs TSM in order to increase their chances to get to worlds! Posted: 06 Aug 2017 10:33 AM PDT So if I am correct the only way for Clg to attend worlds by championship points is for 3 things to happen. 1) TSM wins the split. 2) CLG gets 2nd place. 3) DIG defeat C9 in quarter finals. That way TSM auto-qualifies for worlds and CLG has 100 CP while C9 only gets 20 and they'll have 90. Now in order for that to happen Clg must face Tsm in the finals, but if Clg wins today Tsm will get #2 seed and Clg will get #3 seed, which means that if they manage to beat NV in quarter finals they'll face Tsm in semis and will make it impossible for them to qualify by having the most Championship points. TL;DR: If Clg beats Tsm later today they can only make it to worlds by winning the split or running through the gauntlet. How to Snowball through Top lane. Great with Duo Top/Jungle Posted: 06 Aug 2017 08:22 AM PDT If you don't understand something let me know I'll elaborate in comments Terminology: Center Mass: Specific point in the lane where the waves collide unless another variable changes this. Freeze: The ability to keep the center mass of a wave on your side of the map through a ratio of 3:6 for Blue side or 6:3 for Red side. Where the 1st number in the ratio is always Blue and the 2nd number is always Red. (example 3:6 is 3 blue minions vs 6 red minions) Bounce: This means the center mass of the wave will inevitably push into the opponents tower unless other variables balance the wave out. Simulation: You're ganking enemy top laner and you either forced him to recall or he died. There are only five positions the wave can be at. Reset or 6:6 This means the Center Mass of the wave is directly between the two outer towers. A ratio of 6:6 where 6 Blue minions are facing 6 Red minions. In this situation the Top/Jungle should shove the lane. Doing this will cause the wave to bounce unless enemy jungle is able to clear the wave in time so cause a reset. Shoving the wave together gives the Jungle and Top 65% of the waves xp value through xp sharing. A 3:6 on Blue Means there are less Blue minions on Blue side than there are Red minions. This enables your Blue side Top laner to freeze. Denying the enemy Top laner while giving Blue side jungle the ability to punish Red side top laner when he over extends. In this situation Blue side Jungle should enable him to freeze the wave longer by warding for him and follow up gank after Red side Top uses his TP to return to the lane. If Blue side Top laner hp is low he should recall and TP back with an item advantage and continue to Freeze the wave. Breaking a freeze is something you'd want to do when other lanes are falling behind and you need to spread your strengths into other lanes. I'm aware in this screenshot it displays Red minions on Blue side. It's a bug with practice tool I've come across so keep in mind Left side is Blue and Right side is Red. A 6:3 on Blue Means there are more Blue minions on Blue side than there are Red. This is a bounce. This will cause Blue's next wave to build up and crash into Red sides tower unless something is done to stop it. When you see a 6:3 and notice the next wave is a cannon wave you have a few options available to you as a Top laner. Recall when you shove the wave into enemy tower. This forces enemy laner to TP and gives you a free back while saving your TP. Scout into the enemy jungle to look for camps that haven't been cleared (helps track enemy jungler). Look for a potential play mid Fake a recall by walking away by sitting in an unwarded bush to bait enemy laner into pushing the wave which will enable you to set up a freeze (very useful when you need a little more gold to get a completed item or if your Jungler is on his way Top side) As for Red side its everything I said reversed. Applying this as a Top laner and Jungle can lead to ridiculously large boosts in the gold difference between you and the enemy team. Urgot looks like an angry baby rolling around in a baby-walker Posted: 06 Aug 2017 05:32 AM PDT So I gave him the skin he deserves : Babygot I know this piece of art can be confusing so here's a little description to help you understand : For his basic attacks Babygot presses his big baby bottle to spray milk, making a subtle splurt sound. I didn't want to add them to the drawing because it would make it too confusing but there are smaller baby bottles equipped on each leg of the baby walker, they simply spray milk. His Q is a pacifier. His W is a recolor of the regular green shield, making it skin colored, also he sprays his baby bottle much faster. E is a simple angry baby charge. R is where the fun is at, Urgot throws his favorite stuffed bear on you, and when you drop to 25% he drags you with a child leash to his baby grinder, it's like his regular grinder, but it makes squeaky noise.
