We get it. You added wind. Why do the devs always go overkill on audio volume and frequency? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 02:40 PM PDT The wind is just non-stop. And its loud at its lowest point and obnoxiously loud at it's peak. On top of that we have to hear birds chirping non-stop too. If they're trying for realism, they missed the mark by a mile. I personally think hearing wind non-stop gets annoying. Let there be breaks. Let there be areas on the map where there is more frequest wind and/or louder wind than other places. (not just elevated places) But please, have areas where other audio isn't drowned out by wind 24/7 [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Aug 2017 07:14 AM PDT Usually in any community where someone makes a comment on DayZ, it's usually followed by the statement:
It's just kind of a huge pet peeve whenever someone hates on DayZ if they aren't even well informed enough to know when the game releases, and probably haven't ever played the game. I personally think the game's amazing, but I'll defend it if people aren't knowledgeable and haven't even played the game before and it's just blind hate. If someone's played the game or at least knows how long it's been in Early Access for, I'll take their opinion and leave it at that. It's just crazy, there's so much blind hate for DayZ and people spouting out nonsense like "The games been out for 5+ years and it's gone nowhere in development." And "The devs have abandoned the game and have taken all the money." DayZ is one of the better Early Access titles, especially when you look at examples like The Stomping Land. There's constant communication between the developers and the community, there's constant updates patches, upcoming features and they release overviews and such. I really hope when they release into beta, Bohemia and the DayZ Dev Team is able to get rid of all the bad stigma, because the game doesn't really deserve this much blind hate, especially when there's titles like Dark and Light which is an asset flip of Ark, and Ark which costs literally an arm and a leg to buy now, and is terribly optimized. How to make player interactions a certainty Posted: 06 Aug 2017 05:48 AM PDT Hi! Just had this thought, reading the thread regarding harder PVE to encourage player co-operation. (Sorry, haven't bothered to figure out linking yet) Like many in that thread, I think it would drive more KOS, in search of someone's can of beans or water bottle. I think to 'force' co-operation, the players need to be forced themselves. This would require either an AI/NPC component, or a truly dedicated server community to achieve. First, reduce the spawn points to points on the actual beaches, nothing inland. Second, there should be towns along the coast that have been cleared of infected and barricaded, with gates on the roads in and out. These towns should be under the control of either NPC groups or PC groups. Third, there should be patrols along the beaches/roadways between these towns, capturing any fresh spawns they find. These fresh spawns will be made to garden, fish, and craft stuff for the faction holding them. Eventually, and escape opportunity should arise, with success more likely with more players involved. It would actually serve as a good 'training level' for new players before they head out into multi-player. [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Aug 2017 05:25 PM PDT Just imagine to fire a shot in stary and all zombies from novy starts moving(running)towards you. Iknow it would be a huge stress on the servers but tell me would t be that amazing? [link] [comments]

Recommended Graphical Settings for low-end PC Build. Posted: 05 Aug 2017 06:54 PM PDT I'm finally upgrading my pre-built potato (Inspiron 3650). PC Parts purchased: One stick of 8 GB DDR3 and an MSI GTX 1050 Ti 4G OC PC Specs after upgrading: i5 6400 (stock), 2x 8GB DDR3 RAM (16GB), MSI GTX 1050 Ti 4G OC, 1 TB HDD (stock), 240W PSU (stock) What should I set the graphical settings to for a smooth gaming experience? Preferably settings that will allow at least 60 FPS (or more than 40 if 60 can't be achieved). Probably going to use the GTX 1050 Ti for a future PC build once I save up $1k+. Also, while we're talking about PC parts, is DayZ compatible with Ryzen processors (ex: Ryzen 3 1300X)? Thanks in advance. Edit: I checked on a website that allows you to test if your PC parts can run a game: game-debate.com and it says my upgraded PC will be able to run at 30-40 FPS on high settings :)) [link] [comments]

(Troubleshooting) Main Menu Stuttering Posted: 05 Aug 2017 03:34 PM PDT Hey everyone, To preface, I'd like to point out that I have searched numerous time thru google and forums but all the information is from 2014/2015/2016. I've recently returned to DayZ after a long break. But every time I launch the game, I have horrible stuttering and lag in the main menu. Sometimes it's damn near unresponsive at all - making it challenging to even join a server, let alone get to the server screen. Once I'm in a game, she runs smooth and fast. What gives?
