Citizens of Europe! I am proud to announce Eurogroup's week of Black Temple! Throughout this lockout, Timewalking for the Black Temple raid will be open, allowing characters to go back in time and clear this iconic raid featuring Illidan Stormrage!

You are not prepared for this fun-filled week, featuring 3/4 raids on Black Temple for each faction! Most of our regular raid leaders have replaced their raids with Black Temple, though we will still have a run or two of Tomb and EN Mythic for those that want them!

What is EuroGroup?

EuroGroup is a discord server for World of Warcraft.

  • We organize new player friendly raids, with the aim of getting as many players as possible into raiding.
  • We have an active, social environment with an emphasis on self-improvement and competition between the two factions.
  • We have multiple raid leaders for Alliance and for Horde, and we organize and run the following raids each week on the EU (We accept players from all realms, not just English ones)

We offer resources such as live logs for every raid, as well as useful information and help with guild recruitment in our #resources and #guild-recruitment channels respectively. Before every pull we ask our players if they don't know any aspect of the fight, and if so, we will be explain ever mechanic of the encounter.

Other than our main raids, our raid leaders occasionally organize achievement runs in easier difficulties. We might even do achievements like [For the Alliance/Horde]!

Current scene

Both Alliance and Horde have cleared 10/10H several times, getting dozens of curve achievements, and are working on reclearing normal, and progressing heroic ToS. New players are even more than welcome to join any of our raids, we are open for all roles and classes plus our raid requirements are way lower than those you can find in PuGs! We are also looking for raid leaders, so speak to an admin in discord if you are interested.

History

EuroGroup started as EuroMoose, an organized effort by a number of individuals for the community. At the end of Warlords of Draenor, after the Grove Warden mount was added to the game, a huge number of, free, Heroic Archimonde runs were organized, resulting in around 5000 moose being gifted among the Alliance and Horde of EU realms. After the huge success, we realized that we had gotten many people interested in raiding and experiencing the content for themselves, so they decided to keep the discord and focus on getting more people into raiding. Thus, EuroGroup was born, and our raids have been running since the expansion's launch.

Our schedule for this coming lockout looks like this:

Alliance:

  • Thursday: Emerald Nightmare Mythic with /u/Elirio123

  • Friday: Black Temple Timewalking with /u/murko_the_cat (Anorwen)

  • Friday: Black Temple Timewalking with ME (for the first time since Euromoose!) - Keira in discord

  • Saturday: Black Temple Timewalking with /u/murko_the_cat (Anorwen)

  • Monday: Tomb of Sargeras Normal with /u/DrDeb_

Horde:

  • Wednesday: Black Temple Timewalking with /u/h_enean

  • Friday: Black Temple Timewalking with Mr Bones

  • Saturday: Tomb of Sargeras Normal with Natherul

  • Saturday: Black Temple Timewalking with ME! (Keira)

  • Sunday: Black Temple Timewalking with /u/howien

  • Monday: Tomb of Sargeras Normal 2 with Natherul

Times are subject to change, but will generally be around 8pm server time. They will be finalized in the morning, so take a look at the raid announcements channel!

(little update: thank you all for reading. I'm trying to give a answer to everyone comment, even if small, my way of showing appreciation to all the readers.)

Hey, 1st time poster, long time reader.

Although it is not known how the expansion will really end, taking into account the dialogues, Illidan will become Sargeras's jailer. This will result in an climactic end to Illidan's history, allowing for a future Sargeras escape, but not forcing Illidan back. However as a fan, there are things that I feel need to see resolved, before the end of the expansion and exit of Illidan.

Legion has been an excellent expansion, with excellent lore, however there is a flaw, unintentional certainly, but that could be better resolved. As we can see, there is, at least for now, a low interaction between characters that have not been found since Warcraft 2. So far the interactions between Khadgar and his old associates have been minimal, but more important than that is the lack of interplay between Sylvanas and Alleria. We are talking about someone who masqueraded as a night elf, just like her appearance in vanilla, to go to Draenor to try to find her sister, but so far, we have no information on sibling reunion. Do not take it badly, it does not have to happen in the game, just a book at the end of the expansion that deals with the lore's issues would be enouth, if not better.

However, and returning to the subject I propose to expose, since Illidan will become the jailer at the end of the expansion, there will be no other time to resolve everything that involves him.

As a fan, I feel that to be really satisfied and to feel that Illidan has had the opportunity to solve everything, two situations are essential so that, in my humble opinion, there can be no better end.

In first place, the brothers meeting. Before Illidan departs, for what we know is for ever, it is necessary for the two brothers to speak. Although Illidan is a very tough character, I think he deserves to be recognized by Malfurion, the latter must recognize him, bearing in mind that, although not always right, Illidan has always had the world's interest in mind. Do not get me wrong, Illidan does not have to be happy, I even consider that he must inform Malfurion that any kind of sibling tie they have had ended a long time ago, that he dispenses his brother's words. However, I also think that once Illidan turns his back on him, he should smile, not one of being better or worse than his brother, but one of really feeling accepted, understood and recognized. Whether Tyrande will be present or not? It does not make much sence, as much as Illidan has loved or still loves her, I think it would be much more important for him to be recognized by his brother. The brother had all the luck in the world compared to Illidan, it is natural, for him that, to be recognized by is brother would be excellent, giving a good end to their relation.

Second, in the end, by the time Illidan decides to be Sargeras's jailer, there should be some interaction between him and the other two main heroes. In this case Khadgar should try to prevent him verbally, while Velen should want to take his place or else grant him a blessing, just as it seems he did to Kil'jaeden moments before his death.

After this, and now what I would like to see, even though I think the first situation is more important; Maiev should appear and stand next to Illidan. Make her take off her helmet so we can see her face, her expression. She should say she would accompany Illidan. Of course the latter will retaliate, so she should say something of the genre; That she, better than anyone knows what it is to be the jailer of someone, and that if she does not accompany him, what is of the hunter without his prey. This, without taking it very far, would satisfy those who liked to see a relationship between Illidan and Maiev, while giving Maiev a new purpose, which otherwise would not have in my view more place in the lore.

To help you understand why, besides the novels of Illidan and Wolfhearth, i will had here the comment @queenayrenn gave, he explains really well the reasons for my hope of a ending with Maiev in terms of what happened in Legion with her:

Having her exist as a potential leader for the Wardens means that Maiev can be taken out of the narrative without any worries about who would lead the Wardens. Plus, we see her going after Gul'dan solo to reclaim Illidan's body "Illidan is still my charge" But I think what is the best hint to it is their dialogue in CoEN, the quip in which Illidan says "do what you do best and follow me." Though meant to be a snide remark, it does perfectly capture Maiev and her relationship with Illidan. She is determined to follow him until the end, and I would think this means going to become Sargeras' jailer. Interestingly is the fact we know the titans will be there, and amongst them is Eonar. The Night Elven immortality stemmed from her own power, so I could see her extending that to Illidan and Maiev both to solidify their status as eternal watchers for the Dark Titan. I feel as if this would be the most satisfying end to Maiev's arc, and although it seems obvious, I'm worried that it won't happen. Maiev just disappears in the middle of ToS for no explained reason, and has yet to show up in 7.3 It does not bode well." - @queenayrenn

These are those two things that after reading the data mined dialogues, I would like to see realized so that there is no end to Illidan without its situation being fully resolved. After all that he has gone through, he deserves nothing less than this.

This is my humblest opinion and hope of what I would like to see.

Draenor can be omitted, but Pandaria and the Broken Isles are both in the same universe as the rest of the continents, why aren't there zeppelins and ships that take us there instead of boring portals?

Most annoying thing about your favorite class or race...

So I had a random shower thought this morning for a discussion. In your opinion, what is the most annoying thing about your favorite class or race? This can be anything from class mechanics to visual representation. For me, one thing is how shield-bearing classes can often look like their shield is floating in midair when either stowed or being handled. In fact, armor and weapon clipping in general really grinds my gears sometimes.

Another thing is how caster classes never utilize their weapon when casting. I think it would look really cool flavor-wise to include their weapons in casting animations. We already utilize our artifact weapons in certain actions and contexts so I wouldn't think it would be too hard to implement.

Finally, I really dislike how certain big races like the tauren end up having issues with body parts clipping gear and mounts. I know I'm nitpicking a bit but as someone with OCD, this really bugs me sometimes.

What really irks you about your favorite class or race?

I've been playing WoW since WotLK, on an off admittedly.
And I played the hell out of Legion for a little while, I took a break and then got to playing it again then stopped.

I stopped playing a few months ago, patch 7.2 wasn't even out. And I hate it when I stop playing because I miss so much stuff and regret it, how do you guys avoid getting burnt out? And do you think I could get back into it and be all good?

What are some things you hope happens/gets implemented in the next expansion? Mine are

  1. Revamp of Azeroth (would be really cool to include Northrend)

  2. Global level scaling (optionally, or something)

  3. This is something I feel is the least likely to happen, but I hope for it. I really hope Blizzard updates WoW's engine to use multiple cores/threads. If they did something like this I feel like it's something that would happen near launch or shortly after the launch of a new expansion.

Hi! my name is Javi and I'm from Spain and I just bought WoW (without legion, didn't want to spend that much money without knowing if I would like the game at all) and since I don't know anyone who plays WoW and I don't have any experience I was looking for a place to start or some people to play with (playing alone is rather boring, for me at least) I have played some MMO's before so I'm not that bad, but nothing near close to what WoW is and I'm being a bit overwhelmed by the number of missions and things to keep track off so I would like some help if you could provide it, my Battle net tag is Riiven#2620 so if you want to add me, feel free
