Should root disable force staff? Posted: 05 Jul 2017 05:56 AM PDT If I understand the idea of root correctly, it has been designed to disable any method of moving whatsoever, while not disabling enemy heroes in any other way (although it does sometimes cancel channeling). The only exception to root's vast and almost complete list of movement/blink-like escape disabling, force staff remains. Is there a reason for this? Maybe if force staff wasn't castable on allies, valve wouldn't have made this exception. I bring this up as an underlord player who finds it particularly hard to pull off any form of pit combo (atos, euls, other roots, etc.) when enemies are capable of forcing out of it. Do you think this is a good exception, or do you think that root should stick to the theme of disabling all forms of movement? [link] [comments]

Is SOLO Queue really that important? Does it improve your skills in team chemistry? What is the main benefit of grinding huge MMRS, is it worth the stress you get everytime you queue with someone cancerous/not cooperative? [link] [comments] |
How to win TA vs Viper matchup mid lane? Posted: 05 Jul 2017 09:31 AM PDT I just played a game as TA vs Viper. I didn't believe it was that much of a counter. He killed me in lane and made me struggle as soon as he hit 6. Just wondering if there is a strategy against him. [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jul 2017 04:39 AM PDT We've seen veil become a core item on QoP despite her pure damage ult, what is it that has stopped the same happening to Lina, when the item seems to benefit her even more? [link] [comments]

Position 1 draft advice for several specific games Posted: 04 Jul 2017 05:38 PM PDT I am reflecting on a few losses from last night and wondering if they were essentially draft losses or if it was my play I need to review further. So my specific question is, for the games below, do you believe the game was a draft loss and if so, which position 1 heroes would you draft instead any why? Assume that you are 4th or 5th pick. Games are around 4.5k-5k average MMR. Game 1: https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3291916234 Game 2: https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3292196446 Game 3 (Note: Axe last picked): https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3292327684 [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 04:35 AM PDT Hey guys, I'm a 3.7K scrub who only plays offlane. I try to disrupt their carrys farm as much as possible, seeing that supports in this rank aren't that good. I usually end up with a pretty good laning phase, killing the enemy support/carry multiple times, farming, barely dying/not dying at all. But still I somehow manage to lose a lot of games. I've worked a lot on improving my mid to late game, and I believe I've gotten much better. So what's wrong? Any tips? Best offlaners this patch? Offlaners that can carry the game even when my carry isn't the best player ever? [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jul 2017 03:42 AM PDT Is this a viable item on LS? It solves his mana issues early game and he already has the health sustain to maintain it. Aquila is pretty much core on most agi carries and LS could use a str equivalent leading up to armlet. It seems very powerful to me or am I wrong. [link] [comments]
